Trying this one now and it seems to work just fine...except I see a floating generator above w/e my object is?

I just figured it out, sorry for the bother. I forgot about the HPP file that was being used that uses the class names instead of the normal SQF files

everything is set correctly, I went as far as just going to a completely empty world (instead of my mission that im working on) and placed the exact same thing there and it works fine... its just when it goes to the mission im working on it can't find it

Check if you have the sound files under your mission folder.
Check the path to those files you have defined in your description.ext

Hello ALIAS love your scripts man, I've been using them for my Zeus mission for a very long while now, and this one specifically has always given me issues.... when I put it in my mission it says that there are audio file missing, "Sound "Spark2" was not found" but what is weird is that it changes everytime i load the mission in the editor... this time its Spark2 then Spark22 then sound_twin, I've thought of resetting the entire audio file and that doesnt work... could you give me some ideas to try cause im at this point at a stalemate, thanks!

Not sure, but i don't remember if i made in the way to detect players in vehicle.
You would need to edit the part where it looks for targets and make sure that entities command is used instead of nearentities

I don't remember but i think the script is run via init field of the object, check the demo mission and see how i've done it

Hey ALIAS, might be missing something again. In your video and in your other scripts, they have an init.sqf, but the Twins one does not. I've used the ini_twins.sqf in your tutorial, but can't seem to get it to work. I used modded and unmodded objects, including the tower shown in the tutorial. Any idea as to why?

Hey ALIAS. Just came across your scripts and I am loving what you're doing.

Maybe add more damage or just use the head so all the damage stacks up very quickly.

If you want to make this Ace compat then in spark_viz.sqf replace line 58 with [player, _damage_p, "head", "unknown"] call ace_medical_fnc_addDamageToUnit; You can of course make the damage random I suppose if you randomly select body parts. Something like: _randomBodyPart = selectRandom ["head", "body", "hand_l", "hand_r", "leg_l", "leg_r"];

Hello! There was a strange problem: when playing a mission in the center of the tower, a box or air conditioning appears (in editor everything looks fine). It spins in different directions. Reinstalling the original mission does not help. Although everything was fine before. Do you know how to fix it?

So I'm able to make other anomalies of your spawn randomly around the map on markers using randomPosMapNoWater. But since this one doesn't use markers, is there a way I could have the location randomized?

Thanks! :) Same here bro. The creepy factor works on me too. As they say, the best video card is imagination, sometimes sounds/subtle suggestions +imagination do more than visual effects.
As much as i would like to is not easy to make misterious/thrilling stuff. Maybe that's why the STALKER book (and other books) had such an impact on me, books leave more room for imagination.
Making stuff only by suggesting it with discrete things it is difficult, it takes talent and intuition, i still working on that.

Such an awesome script, even though the tower is actually less brutal than one might fear from the creepy noises coming from it, and the fact that it's inching closer to you when you're not looking.

um also i'm trying to get the screamer and the worm to work to gether how could i merge both init scripts into one. The reason is becuase i see there's a line called "sleep" and i don't want it to mess with the screamer

Hmm, good to know, tho AI shouldn't influence movement unless they are close enough to be attacked by anomaly, must be something else, however good to know it worked for you

Found the problem it doesn't work well against AI and I forgot there were some AI alive which could be looking at it, so it didn't move.

I pasted the code on the object in eden editor and then exported the mission and transferred over to my dedicated server and now it's pretty bugged. Also i'm using it on a zeus server

Script update
* I made The Twins destructible. In order to kill it use a launcher to shoot his "heart". See the video update.
* When Twins is killed EMP could be emitted so advanced electronics in a range of 300m will be neutralized. To set affected objects and electronics see the EMP script tutorial, is the same.
* EMP emitted on Twins death is optional
* Syntax changed a little

Yup, just replace the tower with any object, name the object and run the script from init.sqf using that name as parameter. The thing is those sparks will look weird up in the air because they were designed for tower

Yes me again, probably asking another stupid questions. Can the power poles be changed to any other object, for example a tree? and if so, are you able to point me in the right direction?

A while back someone sent me a link to a collection of SciFi articles related to anomalies wich from what i remember could be a great source of inspiration for scripts, i think SCP-173 was among those articles, i will have to dig up again that link
