Status Update:
The definitive edition version of the mod has been updated and made available on the nexus. You can find the link in this mod description.

I am currently working on a workaroud due to editor not working on my machine anymore. (Apparently they did something that made the engine incompatible with my Win 8 OS and I doubt they will bother on fixing it.)

- Due to the editor not working it means I cannot upload Definitive Edition mods on steam workshop, as a result all my DefEd mods will from now on be only available on Nexus.

I will inform everyone when the mods are made available, sorry for delay.

Already went trough those potential solutions before with no success but thanks for trying to help.

Unfortunately I can't even get the editor to work so thats not even a part of my worries as of yet. I am running out of options of things I have tried so far. The classic version works just fine... but definitive crashes every time its loading on "Starting Services" if anyone knows what could be the issue any help is appreciated.

Hey StarScribe, the definitive edition has a different physics engine from the base game, Mods can't be ported over, you need to remake them if they were for original edition. Hope this helps in any way

I am currently experiencing issues when trying to get Divinity Engine 2 to work when launching it for Definitive Edition version of the game.

It just keeps crashing upon "Starting Services" loading screen... So I will update the mod and release some alternative versions as soon as I can figure out how to fix this.

DE version? :)

Yeah, just tried this out, and like @Frizzeldian12 said, it doesn't work with custom chars. It takes away the racial ability, but doesn't give you the point.

I've noticed an issue with this mod in how it affects the perk "all skilled up" i don't recieve the extra civic point from all skilled up when the mod is activated.

I dont think this works with custom classes :(

Works as intended as of the latest patch. :) It also works with the Free Pet Pal talent mod in case anyone was wondering about that! Thank you so much for this.

@panicaim
When I tested this I was unable to go above 5 even with the trait so I don't think it will make any difference for min/maxing, I think with stat boosts from items are the usual way to go above 5.

This is really helpful but I have a question. Does this mean that you can allocate six points to one civil ability? Otherwise, by losing Thrifty, you don't get the extra point to Bartering, or have I got that wrong?
Sparoue 23 Jan, 2018 @ 3:40am
@starscribe sorry I think it was a problem with a class mod i had, something about using StormCaller made it dissapear not sure why, and btw thanks, i've wanted a mod like this for a while
Fenrii  [author] 23 Jan, 2018 @ 3:35am
@Sparoue
It has been a while since last I've seen a bug report that needed investigating. Perhaps one of the most recent patches changed something... I will see if there is anything I can do to fix it. Thanks for the notice.
Sparoue 22 Jan, 2018 @ 11:41pm
It does indeed remove the race based talents, but it doesn't seem to be giving the extra point.
Rail 8 Nov, 2017 @ 5:22pm
this mod would be freakin fantastic if you could get that working on existing saves like Lily said.
KoreAchlysTTV 3 Nov, 2017 @ 10:51am
Is there anyway to make this work for existing saves? Or a possible way to just let you /choose/ the racial Talent anyways? Cause I'd love to have Spellsong and I just like the thought of having the talent, you know?

But god, that Bartering point is so useless..
