To fix the quickbar, you just need to have something in the "beamaxe" essential slot. Could be anything; a piece of paper, a stack of zero Perfectly Generic Items (seriously!), or just replace all the slots with the scan tool.

How about making it so the 4 essential slots arent 'locked', make the MM craftable (and have an appropriate sprite instead of just looking like a pickaxe) so we can eventually 'obtain' a MM through our own efforts

i love the idea of trow that manipulator.. but, if u give me a energy pickaxe is no more OP?.. i undertand that if i lose that tool im going to be screwed, and is going to be a.. game over.. but that thig is really OP at the beginning so.., can u put a craftable pick axe en the Foraging Table? maybe a wood pickaxe?, and give us the.. Copper Pickaxe at the start, is better having durability instead use the player's energy.

For the quickbar, it locks even though I have other mods with other features I cannot access now, such as wardrobe, or RPG. Is it possible to fix this?

Why don't you remove the ability of the MM to mine and keep wiring, block placing, water collecting and painting?

When I start a new game I have the ability to use the mining feature of the MM.
Might be a bug though.

@Rathlon Tobias Riverwind, I don't see the point. The entire mod is suppose to make your game drills / picks only. + You can always check "Skip Tutorial" to get MM while mod will be active.

I've also noticed that you readded back the mining feature.
I liked the idea of not having to rely on that bit and use only the picks and drills.
Is it possible to make two versions of this where you have one with the mining feature and one without?

I agree. I had commented that without reading through your whole description. I think this mod is a much easier solution to all of the commands. Also you can do this without needing to cheat, which I think is great.

@TrueShibe, Well, actually your guide isn't perfect. As an example: how do you collect liquids? Wire staff? Paint? + It's not very comfy to /spawnitem every time you start with new character.

Im like the idea.
But this not enough.

It's sad cause Chucklefish didn't make a multiple variantions of main quest like other games.
Like do something and everyone will remember it.
Protectorape is utopia which is bad.

New "lore" breakins fun if you are hero (starbound makes you a hero) you can't raid Villages or traders ships.

The bucket is made by having three iron bars in your inventory and look in the tab with the bomb icon.

I guess the new problem which I'm uncertain could be modded out would be the flashlight that the MM scan mode has.

Also I'm wondering how will the scan bit will be once you get that upgrade from what's her name.
Cause that uses the MM to scan objects, and if you have the scan to blueprints mod.
I haven't made it that far into my game, had to reset due to the starting planet was a storm all day every day on it.

I'm working on that. Sadly, MM showed up when you place blocks, objects etc. Soon (As I hope) I'll change this to something different (Hammer maybe?).

This will give those who, like me, play the game from a type of "Age Progression" style.
Basicly the only tech you are allowed is the ship, but on the starting planet you must start out trying to work your way to the tech age.
going from a cave home to maybe something a higher age type housing.

I've wanted something like this for such a long time, that I eventually just used admin commands to spawn in a pickaxe and ignored the MM in the intro myself. Has left me with questionmarks on how to collect liquids, but this mod seems to answer that! Thanks for making this :steamhappy:

Haven't tried the mod yet but is there a way to obtain the manipulator after you install the mod or do i just need to uninstall and start a new character

Yes, Mod is require new character (For now).
This mod is safe for old characters (Not include wiring, painting tool and bucket - they'll transform into green qub) so you can delete it any time you wish. But for new characters it'll be necessary to survive because they won't have MM.
