Well, keep it up.
This was sorta asked already: (Read bottom to top)

It does appear to at least load with the main branch compared to the 'officially' main branch version, so no crash, but I haven't tested it in a game yet.

@Synapt
This is not intented for use on the main branch of the game. However your welcome to try using it with said branch at your own risk.

Will this work with the main branch as well? Marajin appears to have abandoned his and it just does CTD's since at least middle of the year.
I was speaking as to when it was last updated for use on the MAIN BRANCH, not the test branch.
I don't use the test branch but apparently, this version works there. (by your own admission, YOU recommended it!)
Also I tested it.
Read the description next time:
Supports the test branch version of the game as of 11th November 2017.
but i need someone to test it on MP like you
Unconfirmed. As this is a modified version of Marajin's, I wouldn't know if he got MP working or not. You'd have to give it a try.
Watched the video..
Can you pull that 1 unit of O2 from the refinery to the tank or does it get stuck like that for good?
Also can you show the same happening with the socketed barrels both large and small?
What happens if you take the resource socket off the refinery and attach it to the input side of the tank and then reattach it back to the refinery? Is the 1 unit still present?
I do know the resource socket holds 10 units, it might be leaving the 1 unit so that when you attach the resource cable it has something to change the color of the cable to.
I made a little video
https://drive.google.com/open?id=1XT6FkAeOTofD3pZh8of1wMGYoOtT4sqm
showing the problem with the refinery.
The behavior in the video happens also with the smaller and the larger Resource barrel with socket.
Also I noticed that it seems to happen only on the refinery output, before I tried it with the input and on the cable disconnect it didn't loose the unit.
And if you do..
Refinery -> barrel socket -> rsc cable -> barrel socket -> tank
It's leaving 1 over?
I mostly do Refinery -> small rsc barrel -> rsc cable (5m) -> small rsc barrel -> Tank
What's your setup...
Tank -> Rsc socket -> rsc cable -> ?
You're on the test branch right?
I've read that people weren't able to use sockets for multiple resources because one unit was left but not visible, it had to be used with the same resource (if not emptied first).
Instead of emptiing, disconnecting the cable does it, so it can be used afterwards another resource.
It's good to keep one resource in the barrel because it allows for example on the refinery to use a resource on a steady place (depending on the resource output order, you would have to reconnect the cables).
What worries me is that sometimes the cables are stretched, unplugging the barrel socket also disconnects the cable, this way the resource gets lost (which hurts).
My opinion - it would be nice not to automatically remove the resource on cable disconnect (instead people would have to empty it manually).
In order to have a clue that there is one resource left, the socket itself might change it's color to the color the resource in it has.
The wall sockets or non-barrel socket?
I tried the Resource barrels/sockets/cables for the first time (wanted to move a tank so I had to fill everything from one to another.
First of all - really cool - before I was always running like a chicken ^^.
But what I noticed - When I used the sockets, I lost one unit (I tried it several times because another time I thought I gained 10 units, at that point I started to write the values down and do the math with a calculator).
Also from the refinery to the tank I lost one unit.
Everytime you disconnect the cable from the socket (where one unit remains) you lose that one unit.
In order not to lose, you have to bring the "Source" resource socket to the same tank where the destination socket is and plug it in there too, because if you disconnect the cable from the resource socket, it gets emptied.
This is not intented for use on the main branch of the game. However your welcome to try using it with said branch at your own risk.
1. I didn't know the crane didn't/wasn't working in MP
2. I don't play MP
3. I would need someone else besides myself to test/check this broken crane.
4. Would you care to do so? Msg me and start up a server I can jump on as non-host and I'll check this out.
