I have seen someone else has updated it into Rise of Rajas, but I guess you would have been the best to do so.
Also, I think the Chinese engineer providing with chemistry does not work, as for me it did not change anything. I am not too sure about herbal medicine neither. The enemies (in paticular the Mongols) are also powerless against walling. I know this is very difficult to fix, but if you could then I don't see any reason why this scenario should not be part of the official game!
Early scouts do pretty well against red. Explore the map. Mongol envoy 1000gold tribute should help stop green attacks. Focus on booming and don't worry much about red since either your heroes can beat them or the monasteries would keep them occupied for a while.
Send villagers for food, get more villagers, buy transport ship. Scout the sea, quests give you gold which is important to maintain peace with Yellow and bribe other nations. You may build 2 gates near river to block Green (not important if you can bribe them 1000 gold). It's important to know the locations of relics, if you can get 4 relics early, they will give you massive boost of gold. Bribe Purple (Chola), their army will devastate Yellow. Don't betray Grey (yet) because they're too far away and you don't have enough units to deal with them.
Nice map design, maybe too much text/announcements.
I got the ads back but the other day it got demonetized again - 'content in that video is not appropriate for advertisers'.
If you did a scenarios dlc I would buy it for sure, in any case hopefully we will see something soon, perhaps with dinamic diplomacy again?or the originality of ragnars raid scenario?
Then there's all the side-missions. The Khmer border the Indian ocean- it is vast, ripe for exploration and brimming with opportunity. There's something to find on every island, and you are bombarded with extra tasks to keep you even more busy.
All of these systems intertwine to deliver a very special experience, one with ton of replayability, as the player looks to find their own way to break free of the Srivijaya hegemony, suppress other rivals and lead the Khmer to glory. All in all, this is one of the best pieces of custom single-player content on the Workshop.
2/2
To those who don't know: this 1-scenario campaign is a masterpiece.
It pre-dates the Rise of the Rajas DLC, so the player uses the Indian civ, taking on the role of Khmer to become a local superpower.
What's unique about it?
For starters, you craft your own civ- in the beginning of the scen you pick 2 patron gods out of 2 pairs of 3 (almost Age of Mythology-style), each of which confer specific bonuses on your civ.
Secondly, it's about HOW you win- this isn't your regular, run-of-the-mill Build&Destroy. The khmer society is run by the 5 castes- and each has a number of specific goals for you to achieve. In order to win, you must fulfill all goals of 3/5 castes- but there's an option to keep playing past this victory condition to do even more!
