Okay, figured it out. Took me a while because I had a break to build my ship.

I decided to go melee this time instead of my customary ranged style. This time, the final battle went as intended. Kind of odd. An oversight? Ranged is the best way to play games like this, imo, so I tend to default to it--particularly for boss fights!

Anyway, I was able to proceed.

Forgot to mention in my initial post: The quest says 'defeat the tentacle clones'. Huhhh? So I am stuck in a box waiting for those to appear.

I know this mod is abandoned, but I have to know.... Is 'Seeking Brigadier Bluejay' broken? I am stuck on the final encounter waiting for something to happen. Everything seems to be dead and there are no more waves of monsters. My crew keeps commenting on the floor being weird, so I imagine it is significant, and I can see something below us, but...nothing is happening. Can anyone advise?

I love this mod and used it for years, but never got this far before.

This is a great mod. I really like all it has to offer. Only issue I have with it is that the ("Seeking Brigadier Bluejay") quest seems to be bugged for me. Twice I made the bloody codex ("one on two different characters") and each time I have no way of going to the unknown location ("laboratory") to complete the quest. S.A.I.L never shows the mission. It seems to only be isolated issue with me. Others that use this mod are not having the same problem. Other than my one issue, really enjoy the mod.

For anyone who sees this: As you may have guessed, there will be no Halloween event this time around (since it has to be manually enabled by me, and isn't automatic - I wish it was). Probably not even Christmas or any others. This is due to my hiatus from the game.

@Midnight Unless you have a mod that also changes the drop pools of fish, it should still work like if you used a bow to kill the fish since it uses the same damage type as the bow.

If you mean special fish and not raw fish, this mod doesn't add a spear or the ability to a spear for catching rare fish.

@Hypsellis Any new monsters will not have the new hunting drops, but if it has Hunting pools where they drop meat, they still will.

Also, add wooden grip to the Laser Hunting Pistol and make the Tungsten Hunting Revolver's Grip black to make them more distinguishable.

Nice mod, but the Hunting Rifle texture is kinda... weird.
It will be better if it were Lever-Action Rifles.

Incompatibility between this mod and SentientSupper's Supper's Combat Overhaul mod.
Ideally I would love to see merge of your mods, as both add really interesting features.

@Hypsellis They are all in the modpack version. I separated them so people could customize their experience more, rather than being stuck with tons of stuff they may not be interested in...a la being overhwlmed by all the content in Frackin' Universe.

Hm ok. You should think to clean a bit your mods, there are so many small mods since Hunting Wildfire has been splitted. I think the ones which add new content and mechanics you should come back into Hunting Wildfire, while ones which modify vanilla behavior should remain separated.

@Hypsellis I don't see why it wouldn't. The "Level" parameter is a base game thing already used. For example, you can even do /spawnitem ironbroadsword 1 '{"level":10}' with no mods installed.

Sorry I never released the Christmas event this year! I hope another mod was able to get you some classic Starbound Christmas event items (which are usually only spawnable). I'll do my best to remember next year.

Vanilla. I think it was because i was trying to catch them on a planet that was generated before i installed the mod, though.

@ERROR You should definitely be collecting them. Is it vanilla critters, or critters from something like FU? I am unsure why vanilla ones would be affected.

I seem to be having trouble catching critters, they just dissapear without dropping anything. Unless catching is not a 100% chance, in which ignore this, I'm stupid.

@Ralek_Basa it was for removing the Tar Ball being craftable for a future update. I'll change it so it only removed the tarball from it rather than the whole thing. Thanks for reporting that!

If you could check yours against FU's or vanilla that might tell you more.
I haven't gotten to Tungsten just yet,b ut I'll see if those perform the same for me.
I have a lot of mods, so the potential for a conflict is there, but I don't have any weapon mods except for FU, and Stolte longswords and shields. So I don't imagine it overwrites anything. Possible? Just unlikely. I don't know how the weapons are stored in the files exactly though. I haven't poked the files much since I don't know LUA. Anyway, thanks for checking into it. ^^ Cheers! :ppokka:

@SheiFoxy I just double-checked to make sure, and the Makeshift, Iron, and Tungsten spear (as well as the rest) are all set up exactly the same as one-another damage wise. I also never experienced any issues myself, even while subscribed to FU (maybe I just need to test it more?). Sorry I can't help more.

That's super weird. I wonder what's wrong. Well I can say we tested on 100+ monsters last night and the results were very clear. Wood and Iron spear from this mod we seriously got meat 1 out of maybe 30 times.
Swapped to primitive hunting spear or hunting knife from your mod... meat city. :/ So def some issue there. Maybe with FU. But def something going on.

SheiFoxy that would be on FU's end, then. My spears and knives and hunting rifles and etc all use the vanilla hunting damage type ("bow"). There is no difference there.

The only issues I experienced and am not sure how to fix, is if you use the solarium one and the mob dies of the poison, it won't drop hunting goods. This affects them all though.

We actually dropped Pandora, but using FU, we found as we were going around hunting, the hunting spears don't seem to have any kind of drop rate. Like, we never got meat or leather. We swapped to hunting knife: fine. Hunting rifle: fine. Primitive hunting spear from FU: fine. Dropping meat left and right.
Something may be wrong with the hunting spears. We were using wood and iron. Neither were working properly. Haven't tested higher tiers yet, but I imagine whatever's wrong with the first two might be wrong with the rest.

@SheiFoxy There won't be any conflicts. Or there shouldn't be. The only issues you may run into is some of the new monsters not having hunting drops (which, since the vanilla ones do, I'm sure the creator added some). That, or any new critters won't be captureable.

Besides, if there is a conflict, the game will probably not even let you start the server or load into the game. And if that happens, you can just send me your .log file and uninstall this until I have a patch out.

Get a bug report when try to use lv6 hunting spear skill, unknown damage definition with kind 'bow6'. Nomarl attack works fine through.

Oh i guess i read it wrong, on the top it says including the removed/unused pelt, but i think you meant those are patched back. Okay i will try to paste my log when i get a chance as i have cleared it since that issue.
