I've been keeping a personal update of this mod all throughout 1.4 and am now updating it for 1.5. I may choose to post it publicly once I've ironed out all the kinks. Is that alright with you? @Leonapp

Going to announce right now that this mod might not be updated in some time. I got a lot going in my personal life and the latest update kinda broke the mod in ways I can't figure out how to fix. Much of the code is probably outdated and kind of taped together to somewhat work, but is very unstable. I have been looking for someone to take over this mod and had some people interested a while but it's been quiet on that front as of these past months. If anyone knows something about modding and might be interested in keeping this mod going, feel free to comment! Thanks for understanding!

Ditto on exotics comment there, I haven't really done modding in a while and I study nowadays which doesn't leave me as much time to study the code once more. I got a break from school next week so I'll try to update everything then since there was multiple errors that I couldn't figure out yesterday. As of now however, the mod is unplayable in 1.4 due to a error with the sound files

<sigh> Curse Tynan and his incessant need to change backend code for no reason. @Arukado This should be fixable by simply commenting out the entire Cyberslime section of the patch code, as all that section does is attempt to add Cyberslimes to the Mechanoid faction as a raid spawn.

If you'd like to retain them as a raid spawn, you can copy the lists of raiding options from the core files and add Cyberslimes at a rate of 10. Otherwise, you'll likely have to wait until Leon can update, as I haven't worked on L-Slimes in years at this stage.

Hi Leonapp, I noticed that in ExoticsADSPatch, it's still using Mech_Centipede. In 1.4, centipedes were split into 3 variants: Mech_CentipedeBlaster, Mech_CentipedeGunner, Mech_CentipedeBurner, and plain Mech_Centipede is an abstract class now. This error caused faction creation-related errors when trying to generate worlds for some reason.

Yeah should be possible to fix once I'm back home with my mod files. So in about 2 weeks or so. Meanwhile this mod might help temporarily. I haven't tried it tho but looks like it should do the job :)

Would it be possible to make slimes intermediate-level trainability again? The description says they're tough and strong but they can't attack on command.

@Leonapp: Yeah, that makes sense, I'm playing with Pawnmorpher and it showed up in the full logs. I could've sworn it showed up even when I had Pawnmorpher disabled but AFAIK I can't generate a manhunter pack of a certain species to test.

Hmm looks like the game tried to generate the hellslime as a humanlike. Do you happen to play with pawnmorpher mod? Otherwise I'm not really sure...

@Derko Unless you're referring to a specific popular culture form of slimes, these slimes are intended to be omnivorous . If your slimes are somehow herbivorous in your game, then that may be resultant from another mod you have changing their diets.

@Ferrilata_ yes, the Hyperslime is producing the mess. That's how its very high production output is balanced, alongside its inability to reproduce. Feel free to kill it to stop the mess :)

For the record, there's 3 slimes in the area. A hyperslime and 2 rageslimes. I think the hyperslime is causing the spread, since I read its description, but I don't wanna go kill it to find out. So, is it?

Hey for some reason my colony's got a bunch of slime on the ground and it keeps spreading, is that caused by this mod and if it is, how do I get it to stop?

Thanks for the nice comments, ngl forgot about the ranch patch since I started using the toggle ranch animals mod. I guess I will work on it soon but meanwhile I suggest using the toggle ranch animals mod :)

I guess it's very different for everybody. I play with a lot of modded animals so I don't get them super frequently. But I'll look into lowering the spawns even more when I make the slimes ranch animals as well

I started with a Slimequeen as a pet, is that supposed to be allowed? She pops out baby soldiers faster than I can use them as meatshields, and I never have to worry about food or money again.

"[L-Slimes] causes compatibility errors by overwriting EggFertBase in file C:\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\294100\1206705240\1.2\Defs\ThingDefs_Items\Items_Resource_SlimeProduct.xml" - identified by AllYourBase.

You might want to look into xpath patching instead to improve compatibility.

@Fae Yes, that is indeed their tradeoff. Lots of insect jelly, but lots of filth and no reproduction. Best kept in an enclosed space with a food source ;)

So I have a question... I just started playing with your adorable slime mod and managed to tame a hyperslime! It said it produces a copious amount of "nutritious gel" but doesn't seem to drop anything. Perhaps I just understood it incorrectly, of course! More or less if it actually doesn't then I'll probably just get rid of it considering all the filth it produces. Wonderful mod, by the way! I'm loving it so far! <3

@Ricardo Rosello I'm not honestly sure. You could try writing an xpath patch to allow for RimHUD data to be created if both L-Slimes and RimHUD are present, but other than that, I have little knowledge of how RimHUD pulls its information.

A1: There shouldn't be, as this mod uses its own versions of body definitions and such. You might encounter two different kinds of slime "meat", though.
A2: This would only be caused by another mod affecting how things are being defined/changing definitions after the fact. Presumably a mod that does something specifically to animals would be the culprit, as I cannot reproduce this on my end. If you are playing on a pre-1.2 version, I would advise updating.

Can confirm it's not this mod, as I also get the "True" at the end of any creature details card, not just slimes. Unsure exactly which mod it is, though.
