Oh nice, you had an update. Personally had switched the skills around a bit so return fire became pistol mastery which made pistols do more damage depending on the weapon tier used, so the pistol tree was vastly improved. Going to have to check out your changes :>

This is how the overwatch ability is scripted, it uses the pistol by default.

The class is interesting for sure, focusing on the enemy turn rather then your own is definately new.

one thing i do wonder though, why use a pistol for overwatch instead of the assault rifle? Seems like a waste there.

Mod works great. One of my favorite classes. I'm just using the old launcher to load both vanilla and wotc mods.

Yeah, it's great. Tons of features. AML even includes a text editor so you can edit mod ini files directly from the launcher.

This is the launcher most people use nowadays. The vanilla Firaxis launcher doesn't work that well and has a LOT of shortcomings that are fixed in the Alternative Mod Launcher.

Alteranate? u mean the Mod Config Menu? also i vturned all the mods of and verified gamedata and just turn the suppoerter mod back on but it still doesn't work, still didn't give me a missing mod warning either.

Are you using the Alternative Mod Manager or the vanilla XCOM2 loader? The official vanilla loader has issues loading some mods.

Actually now that im checking even though the folder shows up in mod files and its on the mod manager, the mod doesn't seem to be loading at all, i unsubed and made sure it wasn't in the workshop folder and loaded my game without the missing mod warning showing up.

The class doesn't show up in my game at all. why whould that be? its the only custom class i have in my game. Do you kno of any incompatabilities?

It isn't Return Fire, and I'm not quite sure what would be making them switch weapons. I have used this mod for quite some time and haven't had this problem until recently, so it may have been affected by a recently updated mod, but I'm not sure what mod could or would possibly conflict with this one.

They do not switch weapons while on overwatch. Only the code of the guardian ability forces soldiers with pistols to use pistol overwatch. However, this does not affect the normal overwatch.

Great class. Not overpowered or underpowered. These guys make excellent squad leaders when used alongside the Long War Leader Pack for WOTC, as well. My only criticism is that Manual Override seems like a waste because the class simply doesn't rely enough on cooldown-type abilities to make it worth choosing over Killzone. If XCOM 2 had a Deep Pockets (not Tactical Rigging) perk like was implemented in XCOM 1, I'd say that would work perfectly for the Supporter class as a replacement for Manual Override. I'm not aware of any perks mod that adds an XCOM 1 style Deep Pockets perk, though. :steamsad:

Not a bad idea actually. This skillset on a sniper sounds challenging especially with a lot of enemy mods.

Used this first during my last (and my first) Legendary Run. Works good, Guardian is a lifesaver this early in the game.Total Combat feels a bit iffy since you will most likely only use it for items IF you're specced into Field Medic before (not sure it even ends your turn, otherwise Total Combat could be replaced alltogether); I've relied on my specialist for healing for most of the campaign though, since its drone can do so from afar.

What I would have loved to see is squad sight and the ability to use snipers on this class.

Es gibt schon eine Mod die in Richtung solch einer Zerstörer-Klasse geht:

Ich habe diese Mod mal abonniert und getestet. Geht auf jeden Fall in die richtige Richtung, falls du mal ein Beispiel brauchst.

Ich werde mir das Entwickler-Tool von WotC herunterladen, 90 GB dauert bei mir ein paar Tage. Dann werde ich mich auch mal hinsichtlich Erstellung von Klassen versuchen.

Die erste Klassenidee reizt mich auch sehr. Ich hab da auch einige Fähigkeitenideen und bin jetzt am ausprobieren, erste eigene Fähigkeiten zu erstellen. Da muss ich mich aber auch noch in sehr vieles reinfinden.

Ansonsten würde ich die Dateien mit den Fähigkeiten der Basis-Klassen als “Quelle“ nehmen, z.B. X2Ability_GrenadierAbilitySet.uc

@ Nor Dogroth: Eigentlich sind es zwei Klassen die aus meiner Sicht fehlen. Zu einem eine Art Zerstörer-Klasse mit Kanone und Pistole, spezialisiert auf absoluten Einzelzielschaden und zum anderen eine Infiltrations-Klasse mit Gewehr und Pistole, spezialisiert auf verdecktes Vorgehen. Ich würde gerne selber diese Klassen machen, aber ich weiß nicht wie das geht.

Mit ist bekannt, dass es im Workshop schon ähnlich Klassen gibt (u.a. Richards Klassen), aber viele davon verursachen Probleme in der deutschen XCOM 2 Version bzw. sind nur schlecht übersetzbar.

Maybe a screenshot of the perk window inplace of 3 random soliders so we can have an idea of what the class offers with out actualy having to add it to our game
