Hey, I love it! Is it possible if you could create nearly the same thing just without the snow? or maybe reccomend me some

Yay! By all means, get Loading Screen Mod so you can monitor how much RAM of additional assets you're using compared with your computer's RAM capacity. With all the cool assets on the Workshop, it is SO easy to go over the limit which can crash your game. LSM makes it super simple, it gives you green/yellow/red warnings ;) Enjoy!:winter2019cooldog::winter2019happysnowman::winter2019happygingerbread:

Perfect! It all worked! :D Thank you so much for your help. I really have a nice winter town now *_* SO PRETTY! :3 I'm currently looking for more buildings to add to my collection. This modding is becoming kind of addicting ^^. Anyway, thank you so much for this pack and the inspirtation. :3 Have a nice winter <3

Okay I went to look. Yes, they're by Gary, but they're only level 1. What I would recommend instead is to sign up for my chalet level 1-5 pack (chalets without lights but has all levels) https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1182033583

Then, you add to this Christmas Village theme (the page we're on) all the undecorated levels 1 to 3, so that you'll always have chalets, but levels 4 and 5 will be lit up.

You could also include both decorated and undecorated levels 4 and 5, and it will just look like some neighbors didn't decorate their houses, which does happen IRL. :D

Tip for the Chalets to look nice: Have occasional slight curves in some streets - if you use a uniform grid you will only get the 4x4 large chalet.

Hope this helps

Do you mean the ones created by "Gary"? ^^'
Wubbbi 27 Nov, 2020 @ 9:55pm
@MrMiyagi Thank you so much for your respond :3 I searched a bit for the level 1-3 of chalets but I can only find level 4 and 5 (which is part of this collection) or the all in one collection (not decord) of level 1-5. Where do I find the level 1-3? ^^'

Hiya, yes indeed, you can use this theme and add on buildings.. actually ANY buildings, into this theme. Building Themes Mod is really easy and amazing for controlling how the city looks. There are a couple YouTube tutorials on it - one by BonBonB is good. Watch that so you know where the mod's panels are (district policy panel) and how to use them.

tl;dr, subscribe to levels 1-3 of chalets, then in Policies Panel, Building Themes Mod tab, click on Christmas Village Building Theme, add in all the levels 1-3, save, now you have a modified version of this theme. :)

Someone made Christmas light decorated chalets of the lower levels, so search chalet and you'll see them - they're easy to spot since they don't have a fancy workshop thumbnail

@MrMiyagi Hey :) I am very interessted in creating a christmas town for this christmas special project I'm planning. However, I see that this back does not include level 1-3 residential houses which then will be vanilla building. The "district sytle" version of this however includes the mod "Chalet Housing Pack by Tomcat" which, if I understand correctly, does include level 1-3 residention houses. So my question is if I could just add "Chalet Housing Pack by Tomcat" to this pack to get the full level 1-5 houses and if so, how do I do that? Sorry, I'm new to modding and I would love to create a christmas village. However, I would love to have christmas themed houses on all levels ^^. Thank you very much for this collection. I really appriciate it :)

@MrMiyagi wonderful, thank you
MrMiyagi  [author] 1 Apr, 2019 @ 3:19am
Yup! I can save you a lot of time - I already made the style, but I forgot to link it here^, oops :D Here is the style, and you can add any other additional buildings you would like to it. Go to Content Manager, Assets tab if you want to add more buildings to the style. https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1182123078
AnarchistMetalhead 31 Mar, 2019 @ 3:53pm
can you make this as a style working with the styles selector the game already has instead of needing a theme mod?
MrMiyagi  [author] 21 Dec, 2018 @ 2:08pm
Nice! :) I get that need for a Snowfall city myself, right about this time of year.

Here are the screen shots. I think I got my 'Christmas Fix' now :)

Thank you. I 'created' a Christmas Park. It consists of the winter festival, ice skating rink, sleigh rides, and sliding hill. I has a cable car to travels above all of it. I was able to create a few old fashioned building and marked them historical.
MrMiyagi  [author] 21 Dec, 2018 @ 7:46am
Hey! You can try TPB's Plop the Growables mod, Der Rickster, because you can set many options. One of them does exactly what we want: to make the entire city historical but allow level up, which keeps their original look (so no highrises). You'll have to first delete the high rises that have popped up, but it's definitely a solution
Going to add that to description :)

Sure! If you use the mod Plop the Growables, which came out after I made this stuff, it will allow you to hand pick each building you want, and they don*t despawn into anything else :) Happy building!
Der-Rickster 19 Dec, 2018 @ 12:39pm
I think since it's so close to christmas I will use my current game. Thank you so much for your hard work in creating these mods, assets, etc (in fact all of you.) I will create a nice Christmas town next year when I understand the game better.
MrMiyagi  [author] 19 Dec, 2018 @ 12:11pm
Detail Ooops :D That is absolutely possible because I have only skied once, when I was a kid. No idea how they should look, but I did research images of ski slopes for the placement of the safety fences. I hope I did okay on that part lol
MrMiyagi  [author] 19 Dec, 2018 @ 12:10pm
Hi Dr Rickster. I haven't gone in and tried out this city in a long time. Be sure you don't have any regular buildings active in the Building Themes tab under policies window (no blue boxes for vanilla buildings). :/ Sorry I can't figure it out better for you. I wish levels 4 and 5 had been made for the half timbered houses, but Titan's always got some great buildings coming out thta would look great. Take a look at his stuff that has come out since this city was created. Find some level 4 and 5 high residential and add them to your local Christmas Village building theme.
Detail 16 Dec, 2018 @ 12:33pm
If you look close I have some of the ski towers backwards lol. Usually don't make that kind of a mistake, but I just noticed it
Der-Rickster 16 Dec, 2018 @ 9:56am
Detail..I was just thinking that. l
Detail 15 Dec, 2018 @ 3:35pm
You can do more than just the Village using the Theme and the Map. Here is a ski area I fashioned on the map a couple months ago. Many thanks Miyagi for the great creations.

Still didn't work...i was subscribed to it. And I tried reinstalling the main and christmas mod and deleted the xml file too.

This is the mod that prevents sky scrapers from spawning https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/workshop/filedetails/?id=466158459
Der-Rickster 13 Dec, 2018 @ 4:57pm
Hi. I'm getting sky scrappers what is the parent mod?
MrMiyagi  [author] 8 Nov, 2018 @ 12:26pm
Ooo. Ehh. It's been so long since I used Network Skins that I don't remember at all. It's done in Network Skins user interface, so best bet is to find a youtube tutorial on Network Skins or check out its page. The same thing I would have to do :D
Detail 8 Nov, 2018 @ 7:41am
Mr Myagi I've been trying to remove the existing street lights on a section of raoad and replace them with your custom assets. I just have not been able to figure it out? searched several data bases, and I do have network skins and other mod's. How do I do this? TY
MrMiyagi  [author] 13 Sep, 2018 @ 7:56am
Hi rpovio, that's actually down to some of the things that themes , regular roads, and custom roads do.It's not controlled by anything I've produced for this city. It's a bit annoying and I don't know how it works, and the problem is that half the other creators out there don't know how it works, either :D. I live with it by imagining some streets are better plowed than others :/ The color difference is so ugly in regular environments, though, that I often just delete the custom road or change the map theme to one that has no custom road textures.
Detail 9 Sep, 2018 @ 7:06am
MrMiyagi great map having so much fun with it. This morning the road texture changed, I have no reason for it and have checked everything and nothing obvious. I did download some other elements of your collection this morning, Roads are now black with snow vrs Gray with snow. I hope this SS shows the issue and you have a quick recommendation. Can't go further than this now until I can get the road color consistent. TY https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1507799706

Hi Vtskier, there's a map, and you can also have that save game. It was a special Christmas project, sort of like a Christmas train set. The save game has absolute minimum mods so that almost anyone can run it, and there's lots of room to continue building if you want to.

* Here's a short cinematic video of the city save game: https://youtu.be/GPfoTUVYhYI
* The save game itself - https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1231740692
* The one-click collection for the save game https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/workshop/filedetails/?id=1178832516
* And here's the plain map. https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1231208607

What map were the screenshots taken on?
MrMiyagi  [author] 19 Jan, 2018 @ 2:59am
@jewelofbeauty, he won't answer here because he won't even get the notification that you posted here... he hasn't accepted the contributor invite. The most I know is that he was really busy, but anyway the best place to post is on the mod Network Skins
TRAINZ 18 Jan, 2018 @ 11:43pm
@boformer do you think you could make your Network Skins mod compatible with the No Pillars mod by Bloodypenguin?
