yeah i think its better to create another misty mod compatible with 1.40 and up because when i activate this mod the sky turns red with an unreadable text

Hi again. I've looked at the new lightning system and so many things have changed that I would have to create this mod all over from beginning again. Besides SCS states in their modding blog that, changes in the weather system are still to come in the future.
Because of all this, I have desided that this mod will be DISCONTINUED , meaning I will leave the latest version for ETS2 v 1.39 here but it will NOT be updated to new versions.
I hope you have enjoyed the last 3½ year with this mod

Hi all, this mod is NOT compatible with ETS2 1.40. I recommend you disable the mod in the mod manager. I'm not sure when I get the time to look at it, but obviously there is a conflict with the new lightning system.

@Nakkifagiiri: Agree if your driving with the Rain-probability slider all the way to the left - but if you slide it all the way to the right, you will get thick fog that requires you to slow down ;-)

That's dumb as hell tho. Nobody is going to drop down to 50 kph due to fog that doesn't even decrease visibility at all.

@Drummer: As I wrote 19 jul 2019: "It's not a bug, it's my intention to simulate the lower speed drivers have when visibility goes down"

works in 1.38, but for some reason it causes the national roads to have 50km/h speed limit for everyone regardless of what the signs say, at least in scandinavia. tested with only this mod.

@Simul8: Confirmed, looks really strange, like you got a daylight around you, but only like 50-100 m away in a sphere. I'll take a look at it and compare some files in the new version, with the old version. Thx for reporting.

I am on 1.37 and when I load this mod, at night it is like daylight, roads and signs are bright, the sky changes at night, but driving is like day and none of the AI are driving with lights on, when i disable this, the game runs fine, It worked fine on 1.36 but not working for me now.

I wanted to be sure because I'm quite advanced in the game. Thank you so much for the fast answer !! (and for a great mod of course, which add so much realism).

@lys_knight: Tested on 1.37 and no errors in logfile.

@MLG2007: It's taken out on the little island "Sprogø" along "Storebæltsbroen" the large bridge between "Fyn" and "Sjælland" in Denmark. It's not a drivable area in the game

Looks nice but the outside temperature of 25 degrees at 11 AM doesn't quite fit such a foggy weather. For such a dense fog the temperature must be below 10 degrees. If you can change the temperature to match the foggy weather, this mod would be a great addition to the winter mods out there. :)

@hentai16103: if you mean a wintermod with lots of fog i'm pretty sure it is possible, but i'm not gonna create it. There is other nice wintermods out there you can try ;-)

not a bad mod, but is it possible to make a similar mod with regard to winter? after all, no matter how winter is on plzhhod

@Dr Ching Chong MD: I have decided not to put that much rain in this mod because I want to emphasize the fog. The weathersystem is not that advanced in ETS2. This mod is not compatible with other weathermods. I'm sorry.

Any idea what I need to change to up the rain probability in this? I am using this with snow mods and want to use this to simulate white out conditions but setting the rain probability slider up just makes it foggy all the time.

Very good mod with a winter and sliding mod. The only thing that would be good and be able to change the speed of traffic ourselves because I find that they are too slow. Can we allow ourselves to customize the speed of traffic? In the files of your mod? Thanks :)

Thanks for the mod but it crashes my game

And i think that Ai's already drive slower than normal in rain, so no point in doing that, other than unncesseary tickets.
