CAN U MAKE IT FOR ONE POINT?

That's because at some point of time in-game truck had some stat changes. This mod was identical to vanilla tuck at from early versions.

I was driving around and testing this when I found that this mod version is heavier and a bit slower than the games c-65115. It feels, sluggish while the ingame one feels very fast.

@Marck That's great! Nice to see that you care about the mod :)

@Galaxian Thanks for the heads-up. The mod is now updated to match the current state of the stock C-65115.

The original one found in the maps can carry long logs and so has the long log cart capability. This one does not have that. Would it be possible to add that option to make this as similar to the original one as possible?

thanks i wanted it :)

1) Rather keep 1 b.p. (balance point). If I remember numbers right C256 has 150k power units and C65115 have 160k units, but 256 has better traction thanks to diff. lock.
2) I often have fun crossing river on "Crossing" with this truck, while it has very powerful engine, it's drivetrain is still similar to C65111, which is rather pathetic. It translates into huge fuel consumption for an RWD truck (up to 25-30L/min, comparable to loaded AWD truck). Got these values while driving along south river bank with loaded Carriage With Crane (CWC) and on 3rd-4th gears. It's 350 L capacity ain't improve things much comparing to C256's 330 L.

3) Said drivetrain can't hold much load and has drastic speed drop when loaded. And that on tarmac ring road. For example: it can reach ~90 km/h by being fully stripped, but can't get over 4th gear (~20-25 km/h) with loaded CWC and cart. Any other truck in C*** tier, including C256 (may be except weakest in tier 65111) has better performance under same load.
4) Few words about tires "flatties vs biggies". Flat tires has better traction on untouched ground with high chances to NOT dig it if it has traction but off-road tires are prone to dig it. That may explain better performance in Proving ground, while "off-road" tires is better at crawling through deep and/of soft soils.

So with the C-65115 we have the situation that it uses highway wheels and neither all-wheel drive nor differential lock but has more powerful motor settings than the C-65111. Would you agree that it is not a good idea to use only 1 balance point because that would set it on the same level with the C-256 (which seems wrong to me), and therefore 2 balance points could be seen as a good compromise?
Wizard 11 Feb, 2018 @ 3:07am
The kraz256 (C-256) has 1 balance point and it has the same motor properties as the c-255 which has 3 balance points. With the major difference being no awd (front wheels torque=none) and no diff-lock.
256 also has double_highway wheels and 255 offroad weheels.

So in my understanding the devs thought the type of wheels and the properties which wheels are powered are quite important.

Wait, I was talking rubbish when saying that the 3 balance points are from the game. This mod does change that very setting. I chose this value simply because all other Kamaz vehicles in the game (C-4310 and C-65111) use 3 balance points. How many balance points would you see as appropriate for this vehicle?

"MUH SKILL"

The 3 balance points are not something this mod changes, it is the original setting from the game. I don't know the reason why though. On roads, it can be quite powerful with its 9 gears. And I wouldn't say that it can operate on roads only; its tires do have some decent grip even offroad, you just need some skill/experience to take advantage of it. After all, this vehicle takes the role of "The Rig" in the challenge of the same name. ;-)

nice stock vehicle i need for highway cruising, thank you. :O
But why in lords name this has 3 balance points when it has no diff, no awd and can only operate on roads?

there more interesting stuff out there just hidden away
Marck  [author] 14 Jan, 2018 @ 1:42pm
@KAPPA007 You are right. I was able to verify your observation on the incline located in the west of the Proving Ground. A stock C-65115 with a full fuel cistern climbs this hill while my "C-65115 AT" with the same load digs into the ground. Its differential lock does not help at all in this situation. My guess is that the double tires' wider surface of the stock C-65115's rear wheels makes the difference. However, in non-inclined but rough terrain (e.g. with mud, rocks etc.), both the offroad wheels and the differential lock of the "C-65115 AT" have a noticable effect. I find this quite interesting.

i have modified the stock c65115 and it now has diff and awd
but i had a testing map with a big hill climb and a standard non awd or diff lock and it came up the hill further and the offroad variant started wheelspinnin halfway had to turn on awd even diff lock didnt help
Marck  [author] 13 Jan, 2018 @ 7:30am
@KAPPA007 Yes that's possible, but the tires don't have just different looks. The highway wheels also have different properties, e.g. they have less grip than the offroad ones. Is this really what you want? (Personally, I think it would not make much sense to use those highway wheels in combination with differential lock and all-wheel drive.)

Of course, it's also possible to define a new wheel set that looks like the highway ones and has the properties of the offroad ones. However, such a variant would be even less fitting for the stock model than my modded "C-65115 AWD" , which adds the all-wheel drive property although the model lacks a front axle gear and shaft. What do you prefer?
kappa007 13 Jan, 2018 @ 5:59am
could u make a variant that has these wheels instead of those offroad ones and have diff + awd, i like the look of these tires more
