Hey guys, just to make sure there's no misunderstandings. I gave up modding a long time ago and just like enjoying the games at this point. It's all I really have time for. I'm glad people have enjoyed the mod and I whole heartily endorse anyone who wants to update it and make it playable or polish it up and work on it. It's all yours!
The Noid 23 Feb, 2023 @ 7:13am
@Legate Nullus Dog this mod hasn't been updated in 3 years, I dont think he's gonna fix anything
Legate Nullus 24 Jan, 2023 @ 6:04am
I noticed some more things that are in need of polish. The unit descriptions are all over the place, seemingly brought over from the vanilla campaign semi-randomly and often clearly do not pertain to the new units. At long distances some models turn invisible. I really hope this mod hasn't been abandoned because I'd love to play a more accurate campaign in this period than in vanilla and the DeI version is barely changed from it.
Legate Nullus 24 Jan, 2023 @ 5:24am
Is there a reason the Imperium Macrianorum isn't playable? I'd like to try it out. Also, some of the flavor text still seems to be carried over from vanilla Restitutor Orbis. Is there another update planned to finish polishing this mod?

Love this mod. Hope you update it. What was the source for some of the shield art?
Ostrogoth2299 23 Jun, 2022 @ 7:41am
could you make a mod like this? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7r1SfkfvmQ8&t=10s
SKIBIDI_RIZZLER123 2 Apr, 2021 @ 3:38am
mod will be updated?
Azade12 23 Sep, 2020 @ 4:23pm

Caltas 23 Sep, 2020 @ 3:13pm
The faction leader is immortal or no!?
Imperador 11 Sep, 2020 @ 2:29pm
some units like the vexilatiio Macedonica, the spear is missing. There is any bug solution to this??
VARIANVS 7 Sep, 2020 @ 2:12pm
Oh wow, I just found out this mod is a 3rd century mod! I am a historical reenactor and am pretty much into authenticity for this time period. So, I am eager to see how acurate you made it. Will let you know once I digged into it :) Thanks for this mod and work to all who contributed beforehand!
Legendarian 25 Aug, 2020 @ 12:20pm
The Diocletian units should not have any lorica segmentatas.
+Holy+ War Pig 25 Jun, 2020 @ 3:55pm
Really dig this mod. Thanks!
Flavius Stilicho  [author] 17 May, 2020 @ 4:22am
The last updated should have tweaked the few things mentioned. I have not worked much on the Armenians since then though.
Ato Boldon 16 May, 2020 @ 2:48am
Any update in progress?
drapavl 30 Mar, 2020 @ 8:41am
hmm, that's a shame. however, perhaps there is a handy modeler somewhere who will be able to do the corresponding back of the 3rd century. It would be another step to the even greater historical accuracy of this amazing mode, which I very much liked.
Ihavemanybullets 30 Mar, 2020 @ 7:16am
Gaius Julius Caesar- Good to hear about the archers, and I figured that the II Taiana unit was supposed to be a spear unit since it was shown to be one in the preview pics. I would suggest getting a few people to playtest the mod in custom battle mode with all the factions in their free time to check for any other errors for the unit models/textures that might have slipped through.

drapavl- Fair enough, but it's kind of a moot point now since as the author has stated, he's not really a modeler as such.
Flavius Stilicho  [author] 30 Mar, 2020 @ 5:33am
Ok I can fix the archers. And The II Traiana was always meant to have a spear unit. And unforntunately for the swords - I have no modeling skills. All models have been made by teammates in odd jobs or from other mods.
drapavl 29 Mar, 2020 @ 7:55am
Ihavemanybullets - Nobody wants to change spatha swords by gladius sword that was typical in augustus time era. But we talk about the better historical accuracy of the swords at that time
Ihavemanybullets 28 Mar, 2020 @ 12:55am
Just did another custom battle to check the alternate weapons of the missile units for Rome and the Milites Saggitari(sp?) are definitely missing what looks like their spears, if the hand positions are any indication.
Ihavemanybullets 27 Mar, 2020 @ 8:14pm
Alright just checked some of the roman units in a custom battle and I'm not seeing any sorts of problems with missing weapons or graphical errors in general so far. I would advise further playtesting though. Also the specific unit I mentioned(Traiana II Fortis) is a spear unit now, which is fine I guess.
Ihavemanybullets 27 Mar, 2020 @ 7:57pm
Note that I haven't played with the new version yet so I might be complaining about something you already fixed, lol.
Ihavemanybullets 27 Mar, 2020 @ 7:56pm
The Vexillatio Traiana II Fortis unit is missing their swords, that's one I noticed for certain, you may want to check the others too. Oh and please don't shorten the roman swords, the longer blades along with somewhat different armor and such help to show that the Roman legions of this period are different from the legions of Augustus, Trajan and the rest.
Ato Boldon 27 Mar, 2020 @ 3:57am
I think roman archers had missing secondary weapon
drapavl 27 Mar, 2020 @ 12:35am
Yes! perfect, the weapons are there! :-).
is there any chance you will try to shorten the sword spatha?
Flavius Stilicho  [author] 26 Mar, 2020 @ 5:18pm
Ok I think the german units are good.
drapavl 26 Mar, 2020 @ 2:10pm
hi, missing weapons- all armoured germanic axemen (Goths, Saxons, Marcomanic), and all germanic noble bodyguard
Flavius Stilicho  [author] 26 Mar, 2020 @ 1:13pm
I checked the Gothic units. I didn't see any units missing weapons but I'll re-upload just in case I hadn't uploaded that fix yet.
drapavl 26 Mar, 2020 @ 10:20am
hi, armoured german warrior (goths maybe others) missing axes and shields.
Flavius Stilicho  [author] 26 Mar, 2020 @ 5:22am
Before I left I was working on improving the Armenian roster and I can look into the units that are still having weapons issues. What Roman units were missing weapons?
Ihavemanybullets 25 Mar, 2020 @ 10:18pm
I did a quick test of this mod in custom battle and I noticed a couple legionary vex something or other units didn't have their swords showing up, odd. Might want to look into that, looks like a nice mod otherwise though.
Κωνσταντῖνος 20 Mar, 2020 @ 10:21pm
Welcome back Noblissimos Gaius Julius Caesar I hope you are well? I see you escaped the Ides of Mars too:steamhappy:
Ato Boldon 20 Mar, 2020 @ 5:30am
Good news :)
Flavius Stilicho  [author] 19 Mar, 2020 @ 7:00pm
Hey guys. Just returned from deployment so sorry there have been no updates lately. I'll try to get to work on it soon again.
Κωνσταντῖνος 22 Feb, 2020 @ 6:18am
I have been really enjoying this since its launch thank you for your efforts.
I wish I could bolster my 'potential enemies' the Goths for example make them more threatening. A challenge a horde of rampaging Herulii said Black sea and raid Anatolia. Just a Shapur Shahanshah turns up in Mesopotamia!
Is there a Third century compatible aor Legions mod. shield patterns (hopefully varied 3rd C style Mithras etc)
Thank you again Vir Noblissimos
Ato Boldon 24 Jan, 2020 @ 4:27am
Nice mod, I have just tried it and I got impressed with units variety and superb skins. Are there future plans to improve it??
Conmac 2 Jan, 2020 @ 2:43pm
On the subject of swords, any idea when you might add more period appropriate swords and weapons? And removal of inaccurate ones?
Moriarty 31 Dec, 2019 @ 1:09am
hello again, I have been playing around for a while and I`ve noticed that Germanic Noble Bodyguard dont have swords and Armoured Germanic Axe Warriors dont have axes and shields
Moriarty 30 Dec, 2019 @ 1:18pm
great, thank you :-)
Flavius Stilicho  [author] 29 Dec, 2019 @ 5:06pm
I have fixed some of the missing textures but I have yet to find the missing texture for the cataphracts. I have updated and changed some Armenian units to better fit their roster.
Moriarty 27 Dec, 2019 @ 6:24am
did you fix missing textures for units, if you dont mind asking that question?;-)
RebelofAppalachia 25 Dec, 2019 @ 9:44pm
Hey, big fan of your mod.
I have a minor question, but I understand it's low priority compared to the main focus of the mod. Using your mod disables the desert kingdoms for grand campaign custom battles, and I was just wondering if that was an easy fix or if remedying that required buying the DLC? (Which nobody in their right mind would complain about you not buying for the purposes of modding ED campaign, I'd just appreciate being able to use them if it wasn't such an issue)
Conmac 24 Dec, 2019 @ 4:53pm
What might be the new update if you don't mind me asking?
drapavl 5 Dec, 2019 @ 4:34am
Is there any chance of "shortening" the Roman swords in mode (see how I wrote below)? Whether you have any script or animation for shorter swords. The Gladies were gone in the third century, but the spathas in the game corresponded more to the 4th and 5th centuries, but were shorter in the third century (see Paul Elliot's book Legions in Crisis). I liked the option used in the "Named Roman Legions" mode - where, for example, the cohorts of Legion XV Apollinaris had swords corresponding to the size of the original version of the Gothic swords in play. Thus, a variant of Celtic or Germanic swords, the size of which corresponds to 60 - 75 cm blade length.
Carthago Delenda Est 3 Dec, 2019 @ 9:41am
No you cannot adopt from other houses sadly
Flavius Stilicho  [author] 2 Dec, 2019 @ 6:45pm
The immortality trait is gone even if it may say its not. They can die. and I thought characters were still adoptable regardless if they are in other nobles or not.
Carthago Delenda Est 2 Dec, 2019 @ 9:22am
Can you take away the the cannot be killed or wounded traits and put Aurelian and Claudius in the other nobles so they can be adopted
老子就是不ban猛犸 9 Nov, 2019 @ 5:36am
Suggestion: Unit roster (legions) should be refined. Unit Cards, descriptions, stats and so one. Nice work, keep going!
