I know its been two years since the mod's been updated, but I figured I'd hazard the question. Since Iridar's working on adding more laser and coil weapons to round out all the bases for classes and Sparks, will we be seeing an update?

I'm asking since trying to tweak the config settings for the weapon mod Iridar made terrifies and confuses me and I have no idea how to work the weapon skin replacer, even with the instructions open.

I dunno if I'm doing something wrong, but I thought the Coilguns had the yellow laser thing for their shooting animation. Mine are doing the machine gun's shooting.

Great mod, but all these extra weapon choices from the LW weapon mods are available from the beginning of the game, regardless of what weapons tech you have researched or not. So, is there a way to stop tier 3 (Coil) and tier 2 (Laser) showing on the tier 1 available weapons list? (Same goes for tier 2).

Can you try to fix your weapons so they can use Ammo Pockets properly? You can talk to -bg- about how to fix it.

@Cortex... wait, are you saying an issue someone had back in May of 2018, youre having NOW with this mod and you have been successfully runnig 700+ mods? And you have no doubt that its this mod causing you crashing on loading? Um... by chance are you running the community highlander? It just recently had issues with causing crashing. Not saying that is the issue either, but it could have been your issue. OR... maybe one of your many mods that need the community highlander is outdated and causing your crashing. That type of thing happens a lot you know? But im 99.9% sure your issue is a mod conflict or outdated mod. Could easily figure it out... give me your crash dump logs and a full list of these 700+ mods.

@PZ no it is definitely this mod making issue as to crashing once loading up the game. Ever since I removed this mod and used other mods and mind you I am running 700+ mods and have been playing fine. @Robbie922004 is definitely right that there is something wrong with this mod to cause the crashes upon loading.

I think he's asking for this to replace the TLE pistols, which to be honest doesn't make a lick of sense. The TLE pistols have the same exact stats as regular pistols. If you're using this mod, then just use regular pistols?

I second that! I've been trying to figure out why none of the mods I have that add laser and coil weapons allow me to use the laser and pistol weapons as primaries...the names will change (pulse pistol, coil pistol or w/e), but it still uses the base models. Right now I have the Mag - Laser and Plasma - Coil replacers from Lago but no joy on the pistols.

i believe i have found what causes the problem, same with the EU plasma weapons: activating this mod mid campaign seems to cause savegames to "replay" itself before actually loading, this doesn't seem to happen in campaigns that start with this mod active

I've started having the same issue that @Robbie922004 had since downloading this mod, so I can say that this mod is definitely involved is this bug. I'll try and get a hold of him and compare mod listings to see if we can figure out what is causing it.

I understand those troubleshooting blues when a bug can't be recreated. If I knew what specifically was the trigger I'd be happy to let you know but unfortunately I don't. I know I don't have any conflicts since I'm using Alternative Mod Launcher but I also am aware that mods can be fickle and have unseen interactions. I don't have anything that alters gameplay though, only LW2 classes for WOTC and some cosmetic mods, so sorry I can't be more precise as to what's causing it. All I know is that it's definitely this mod and only this mod that causes this issue for me.

I use this mod myself and I've never run into anything like that. So, unfortunately, I have no idea what could be causing your problem.

I will say that just because removing this mod makes the problem go away does not necessarily mean that the problem is being caused by this mod-- it could be a conflict with some other mod, or even a bug in the base game that just happens to be brought out. I can't think of anything in this mod that would do that.

Hey, whenever I use this mod (and its requisites) I can no longer load saves on missions. It causes the game to try to replay all the actions every characters has taken immediately upon load, all at once. It's almost like replay mode, but if instead of happening in succession, it all happened at the same time. Eventually the game just can't keep up and crashes. If I load the Laser Pack, Coilguns for WOTC, and the SMG pack all WITHOUT this mod, it works fine. It only happens once I activate this one.

I've absolutely isolated the issue down to this batch of mods. Don't know what the deal is but figured I should let you know in case it hasn't been reported before. Thanks!

I think I've figured out what's wrong. Once the mod has updated (it should do so automatically if you're subscribed) open the console and type ForceCosmeticLaserCoilUpdate and it should add the weapons properly.

I have the same issue as Delran sadly. The whole reason I wanted to try this mod is to replace the T3 beam weapons to look like their coil/laser counterparts and now it's not doing that. Could be because I tested this in an existing late game save? I could start a new campaign with some cheat mods to speed up research to see if it works then, but it'll be a while.

Well, It all seems to work well except that the MK3 versions of the guns doesn't seems to appear (Got the "Conventionnal" Coil/Last, Gauss too but not the plasma tier)

Well, since it's already experimental anyway, why not?

This new version has SMG support, but all the testing I've done is verifed that, yes, SMGs do indeed show up. So the warning at the top applies double, I think.

The required mods for this generate laser and coil SMGs if you have the unofficial SMG pack installed, so I think that's more or less the de facto official one now. I'll take any kind of primary pistols, I love the coil guns but I use custom classes that rely on the primary secondaries weaposn and it would be cool to have those be coil instead of plasma too :)

SMGs are currently disabled, because there was no (official) SMG pack for WOTC, but that's something that wouldn't be too hard to put in as an ini option. I could add in an option to also generate primary versions of the pistols, but pretty much as their own thing; it wouldn't really integrate with Primary Secondaries. Once I get this mod working in a way that I'm pretty confident there aren't lingering major bugs, I'll look into adding some of this stuff.
