That was scrumptious!

So extra star no.1&2 can be achieved by trapping yourself . Should have known.
Got the third one because it was visible. Looked up the others thanks to Joric's comment. When I tried to solve 'em, I created softlock situations that made continuing with solving the star (left room) or even solving the room (right room) impossible. In my first playthrough I could solve the map because I solved the exit conditions first. Leaving your tools (stacked cubes) behind after the jump for the third "star cube" is the issue.
I'd appreciate some pedestal buttons for cube respawns.

Excellent embedding of Talos structure into Portal 2 - definitely got a nice nostalgia hit.

Excellent!

@Narkodes I don't respond to comments very often, but know that I read every single one of them and appreciate your input very much. Thanks for playing through so many of my maps 😁
Narkodes 16 Jan, 2021 @ 2:35pm
Entertaining chamber! I guess I'm finished with your workshop now (besides the Aperture Tag and Time Machine maps). Very good stuff. I'm looking forward to future releases. Cheers!

@Mikeastro Thanks for playing! For this map, I tried to more closely follow up Talos's aesthetics, hence the lack of antlines. The platforms function as Talos's buzzers - essentially, their purpose is to prevent you from redirecting lasers in certain regions or angles ;)
Mikeastro 21 Sep, 2019 @ 4:34pm
Fun, creative map. Most of my time was spent not seeing that the laser catcher on the other side of the wall was connected to the fizzler that kept the yellow cube in the third chamber - you could have considered a short antline there. I did not attempt to find the stars, nor did I see any function for the moving platforms in the third puzzle, but maybe these things are connected. Thumbs up
Spider_Dawg 12 Jun, 2019 @ 5:28pm
Not sure why, but when I grabbed the companion cube in the third room, it didn't fizzle like I expected it to . I then spent a long time trying to figure out what I needed to do, before giving up and watching the solution video. Went back and tried to put the companion cube back where I grabbed it, and at that point it fizzled . Also, I didn't solve either of the first two as intended, solved them both by aiming a laser from one room into the other . Just didn't see any other way at the time. Was still fun!

The concept alone has been used in something much bigger: The Talos Principle :P
Nobody No-One 5 Jun, 2019 @ 6:29pm
does that mean you're going to make a "much bigger" map involving that concept...?
camerson1313 5 Jun, 2019 @ 4:50pm
Very unorthodox puzzle, but also very good. There aren't many maps that use white fields well, and they were used very cleverly here (especially in tandem with those activation delayers). Also the purpose of the moving track platforms in the final area was quite funny. It looks so ridiculous yet was surprising to see it's actually part of the puzzle. That concept alone could be the roots to something much bigger.

Awesome sequel - you nailed the style. Definitely scratched my head more than I needed :P

An amazing, complex, and very confusing map. (Just like Talos) However with persistence the logic can be worked out, sometimes with dumb luck. What were the faith plates and laser receptacle for in the far back room? Thanks for the many hours you put into your work.
Joric 25 Oct, 2018 @ 5:11pm
@Nobody No-One whoa, this is kind of cool, might be intended. Funny that there's some kind of laser ID matching, a laser from the other room didn't work with the middle laser receptacle, but I didn't really need that to get the star your way.
Nobody No-One 25 Oct, 2018 @ 4:56pm
@Joric I don't think it's intended, but you can also get the first star without cube stacking if you redirect the laser from Room 2 through the two green fields into the laser catcher on the right of Room 1. That way you can bring two of the Room 1 cubes into the room with the star.
Joric 25 Oct, 2018 @ 4:50pm
Spoilers! There's shitload of poorly made unnecessary long videos already, so just text.

I assume the the room on the left from the entry door is Room 1 and room on the right is Room 2.

It's all the same concept, you need to be trapped in the room with the star.

Star 1: the wall behind the green box, used stack of 3 cubes to climb https://i.imgur.com/O7B7BoB.png
Star 2: the floor hatch in the end, reposition the laser and trap yourself https://i.imgur.com/dzFhozK.png
Star 3: get two cubes to the ledge and jump down https://i.imgur.com/broCAGG.png

That's all, folks!
Joric 25 Oct, 2018 @ 5:48am
Btw, used floating cube glitch in the second room, which is obviously not fixed, thought it was intended.
Joric 25 Oct, 2018 @ 5:44am
Damn it I got one star of three on the first run (that I didn't really need to complete the map). Neither boring, nor frustrating, medium, talos-principle-difficulty puzzle.
Nobody No-One 24 Oct, 2018 @ 8:21pm
Excellent map. I collected all 3 stars (not sure if exactly as intended, though). Very cool aesthetics and puzzles. Thumbs up and favorited.
Konclan 4 May, 2018 @ 12:34am
Love it, two thumbs way up. Need to come back and do all the stars though.
HugoBDesigner  [author] 7 Feb, 2018 @ 5:49am
There is none, it's an optional exploration quest ;)
Unowninator 6 Feb, 2018 @ 7:21pm
Okay, apparently there's 3 secret cubes which the stars represent. Is there a reward for finding all 3?
nock 6 Feb, 2018 @ 1:31am
Another fantastic job Hugo, making these Talos inspired maps are really something and I applaud you for the amount of time and effort you put in to make these puzzles. I hope you have time to make many more in this style :)

Here's my "BONUS" run of the map: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xmnz0duqTU0
Unowninator 4 Feb, 2018 @ 7:24pm
Well my solution actually does let me skip part of the puzzle. By using my method, I can completely ignore the other laser. https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1292146883
HugoBDesigner  [author] 4 Feb, 2018 @ 6:43pm
@Unowninator That is not the intended solution, but I don't think it takes away from the puzzle. And no, cubes over barriers are not accounted for, but preventing that would take away from the aesthetics, which for this particular map is one of the main goals. I'll just add a warning to the description I suppose. Don't worry, I usually fix such exploits for my other maps, where faithful aesthetics are not one of the goals.
Unowninator 4 Feb, 2018 @ 4:47pm
Is this an intended solution? https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1292073765

Also, picking up cubes & dropping them behind the white barriers?
indifferential 23 Jan, 2018 @ 5:56am
Jumping on top of walls, good Talos map. It took some serious stacking, but I got the three stars.
•‹†ρđ› ĐūšР2ķ• 23 Jan, 2018 @ 5:23am
I liked it! Unusual but cool! I like the 3 objectives mechanism (cube dissolve) . Only downside is that the cubes keep moving on their own for some reason, misaligning the laser a lot. I've had the same issue in my maps. I don't know if it's just me ...
dven1 19 Jan, 2018 @ 4:45pm
Wow, I'm so confused I don't know what I'm doing or why I'm doing it. Good looking map but I think I'll save it for another day. Thanks for your efforts. BTW, is there a way to stop that infernal banging noise in the back room?

Unusual, but a very nice, logical puzzle. Favorited!
Fumbly Bumbly 17 Jan, 2018 @ 9:01pm
Second go, and I got two stars! (First and third room) Not sure how to get the second one, I might come back again for that.
cochetmichel49 16 Jan, 2018 @ 11:11am
Not very funny... But your work is at top !
HugoBDesigner  [author] 16 Jan, 2018 @ 5:42am
@CoolDudeClem I'm sorry that yet another puzzle f mine couldn't provide you with fun, but I hope future ones might! Thanks for playing nonetheless!
@Expat Thanks for playing, I'm glad you enjoyed it. When in doubt, you can always check the solution video linked in this page, and on every recent puzzle of mine :)
Expat 15 Jan, 2018 @ 9:37pm
My solving was not nearly so smooth or elegant as BehindPortal's but I got there. Had to take two runs at it due to my own dimwittedness. Good fun, thanks for creating.
CoolDudeClem 15 Jan, 2018 @ 7:21pm
This is just not fun, sorry but someone had to say it. I got as far as solving the first two lazer puzzles witch were actually pretty good I must say, but after getting the portal gun and finding myself in an area with moving panels and other annoying stuff I decided I can only take so much bullshit and this was just too much. It looks nice and all but just not much fun to play.
HugoBDesigner  [author] 15 Jan, 2018 @ 5:02pm
Hey Behind Portal, thanks for the playthrough! I have no idea why you lost the portal gun when you reloaded, I didn't even know that could happen, sorry :/
The secrets (stars) are mentioned on the "#ThreeOptionalStarSigils" part of the description. They're pretty much the same as OCCs, and in this map they're the yellow cubes. One you've seen, two other hidden away. Glad you liked it!

@Fumbly @Sdather @Janette @Atom Thank you guys very much for playing, glad you all enjoyed it! I may or may not bring more Talos-themed maps in the future, don't know yet

@Aur3Dash There is no portal gun, so there's no way to solve the first two puzzles :P
Janette 15 Jan, 2018 @ 12:50pm
Very nice! It was fun to play.
Sdather 15 Jan, 2018 @ 6:46am
Nice Talos Principle design!
I wish you kept the Portal 2 clear signage instead of the Talos Principle one.
I also wish you bring more of these. ;)
Fumbly Bumbly 15 Jan, 2018 @ 5:52am
A fantastic sequel! I didn't get any of the stars on my first run, but I'll be sure to return and have a try at obtaining them.

I'm sorry to say this, but this map is BORKEN
