In general, if a keypad displays locked without keycode, it never opens (though exceptions are possible, but rare). As for the vines, that's sadly just Decals being weird, they wrap around the geometry and sometimes spill through it, too.
So uh, you're not missing anything there. (Though there are well-hidden easter eggs all around!)
While the editor is tougher then most I worked with, you could always give it a go yourself, see how others made something and replicate/learn from it, and enough folks who can help out with editing questions.
I suppose gifts are ussually better when self-made, anyway. Suppose you're free to ask questions how to do X or Y if you decide to try your hand at making a map.
Sent a friend request, if you're willing to discuss, that'd be great
Best idea I got for now is right-clicking Viscera, going to Properties>Local Files, and doing an cache integrity check to (re)download broken/missing files, which may include Worshop maps. If that fails, maybe un-subbing and re-subbing works?
I got the PID from outside the map by letting it clip halfway into the ceiling, then exiting and reloading the game. It ended up on the floor inside the game area.
Watching WWEDeadman's playthrough, I wish I would've known about the buckets trick (turning dirty buckets upside down in the garbage chute effectively empties them; they don't end up making mess on the basement floor).
Lots of cool features in the map. I just wish the basement corridors were wider, and maybe a slosh and bin dispenser on each floor. Otherwise, total thumbs up. Thanks, CT!
So, doesn't sound too unreasonable when sight-seeing and planning would easily take an hour or more, and probably another half hour doing death reports (which I ussually ignore when doing test-runs cleaning it). Guess it's more of a speedrun time... :P
Hm, think it's just bonus points for any PID inserted and properly reported, so there's probably no penalty for "missed" PIDs.
I suppose if my punchomatic death report accuracy isn't 100%, I can live with that. (shakes nervously) lol
I won't know for sure till I finish the map, it's been over 6 hours, does that mean there's something wrong with me? ...Never mind, don't answer that.
<3 the map! XO
(And it was a "repository" of sorts. Custom objects not "used" (AKA put in the map) get deleted, so, the zone holds a copy of such items.)
I don't think I've put any items considered trash in there, so it should be fine. Nothing to worry about in-game.
If you're really desperate you can use the "Fly" command or maybe J-HARM/box-stack your way up there, though. Well, in any case, maybe try unsubscribing and re-subscribing or right-click Viscera and validate your game files. Note that if you unsub/resub the map you may lose the in-progress save file for it, though (if you made any).
had a lot of fun while cleaning, BIG thanks for the easter eggs and colorful HATS(from the basement section)! i also liked the whole map design, it`s gorgeous and pretty comfy for the office, i guess haha!
again, BIG thanks for the cool map!
Very rewarding to play and the only complain I have is that the elevators sometimes glitch out which isn't the maps fault tbh
Found all the eggs except for like the 4 or 5 that were RIGHT in the plants. If I hadn't read a hint in the comments, I NEVER would have found them all, I looked for so long lol.
You can nearly fit all the boxes in the crate zone except for all of the large rectangular boxes and like 2 of the larger square crates. Two thumps up!
Though I'd feel ick about downloading all four at once in order to play one particular map... XD... Or risk a possible crash, idek. D:
Just hope the filesizes won't be a issue (its why i had to split it up into 4 maps to begin with), as two of them started going over 300MB (suppose they grew quite large on their own). It should play better anyway as seperate maps, instead of like a 8+ hour cleaning marathon... :P
The 4-Map projects aren't dependent on having all four of them installed to work, yeah? I've been curious (and worried) about this bit. o:
And still working on maps, albeit slowly. Suppose a big 4-map project uh, takes time (if it'll ever be finished, kinda 1 map 95% done, 2 to 50%+ finish, one to do from scratch, and they appear to be big-sized maps).
Though several months of working on a project takes it's toll, so things are going slowly. But maybe one day, eh...
Well, perhaps to look into that sometime, though I'm in no hurry to update maps yet (kinda working on new stuff, and it's a rather convoluted process to update maps). Hope the map is enjoyable enough despite that issue.
I'm a bit late but here you go! :D
Can anyone give a specific spot for it? I have checked every plant wall and all of the bushes, but no luck. Please and Thanks.
Well, atleast it's fixed now. It would've been possible to play the maps without the .int files too, i guess, but you'd be missing the actual name, there would be no intro text, and no map description in the map selection menu (or an in-game picture set for the map selection menu if one was provided).
Oh, and is it everyone's maps (or atleast the maps of everyone who updated) or just mine? Because if it's everyone's maps, then that sounds like a general game problem, unsubscribing and resubscribing to everything may fix it, or the cache integrity check, or failing that, a total uninstall and re-install of Viscera (it'll keep your saves/office, so no worries about losing those).
So, basically, wait untill every new/updated map is listed as "installed", then reboot, and they'll work.
Oh, you could also try right clicking Viscera in Steam, selecting Properties, going to Local Files, and using the cache integrity check option, it'll redownload any missing files of the game and workshop, ussually. The weird map names indicate the .int files are missing, so maybe that would work, too?
