@LadySession, you may have already figure it out (probably considering this is an older thread), but there's no need to add wood or stone dust for this particular blueprint. I'm guessing you had some leftover of those 2 items from a previous build. That's gotten me before :)

Yep, the acceleration and turning rates are a function of mass, so adding mass will reduce those numbers.

I've been messing around with this vessel in Creative, and it is a joy to mine and maneuver. I cannot design mining HVs to save my life, so I love learning how to do it better, hah! The resource cost and unlock level is insanely low as well. Very nice work and thanks for sharing this, Lift

I guess if you write a novel in Word or make artwork in Photoshop then you have no rights over it.

But anyway they aren't restrictions. If you alter someone's workshop item without permission and republish on the workshop, they can have it forcefully removed. I'm specifying that there are no such restrictions and anyone can do whatever they want with it.

I never had a problem drilling with this configuration. It is designed to back out of holes. The front end being weighed down isn't a problem when you're backing out. That's why the retro is 19m/s/s vs the 13 forward thrust.

with the gatling gun at the front bottom, you can't even drill down when on the flat beach. It would only work after removing the gun. Also getting out of a hole, or going back up is near impossible. The weight is too much at the front.

i built it and love it, also followed your advice and upgraded to laser drills, works great.

That's because people design poorly and put 5 billion thrusters out the back, instead of where they belong: on the sides and front.

how is it in getting out of mining holes, i find a lot of these are hard to get out again.
