Mattyboy0066 14 Sep, 2018 @ 8:30pm
thanks, probs should put that at the bottom of the description? ;P
Mattyboy0066 14 Sep, 2018 @ 4:11pm
does this work with B19?
Phomor  [author] 17 Jul, 2018 @ 3:50am
Shoddy and superior qualities were removed in 1.0. Also, masterwork and legendary are much rarer now, with legendary only being attained through inspirations and masterwork having a very low chance on high skill crafters.

Didn't one of the below normal quality levels get removed too? Not that anyone cares, but my in my mind 'superior' is better than 'excellent', so I made a little private mod to switch the two to that order.
Phomor  [author] 16 Jul, 2018 @ 12:42pm
Just released a 1.0 version with a setting for excellent which is disabled on default. https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1442879524

ok thank you for responde
Phomor  [author] 16 Jul, 2018 @ 8:21am
It should already affect art as it affects everything where the skilllevel decides the quality of an item. I could add that, but I'm focusing on compatibility for 1.0 first.
poopingpig 16 Jul, 2018 @ 7:34am
Can you add same thing for art? also would you make more quality option? like superior or excellent? i really like your mod thank you for great mod
Phomor  [author] 8 Jul, 2018 @ 6:23pm
I wouldn't know why it would crash, no. And because nobody else is complaining it probably is not this mod.
Fistandantillus7 8 Jul, 2018 @ 4:16pm
I'm getting random, without warning (no dev mode error messages) crashes to desktop. It started a little while ago and seemed to coincide with other problems one specific mod developed but that mod has been fixed and to test I started a new game without that mod and I still get the CTD. As I have no info, I am asking any mod (that I use) that has been updated in the past few weeks if the update might have introduced a memory leak or other problem that might cause a CTD.

Awesome, thanks!
Phomor  [author] 22 Jun, 2018 @ 10:17am
Luckily for you I just added a settings menu
zanglebert 22 Jun, 2018 @ 9:43am
Haha, yeah, kinda stupid of me, should have thought of that... the folder is called 'source' after all.
Phomor  [author] 21 Jun, 2018 @ 12:14pm
It doesn't work cause this is not an xml mod but a c# mod. That means you would have to change those numbers and compile the mod again. I'm working on making it adjustable right now, though the balance is tricky, if someone sets the numbers too high it can lead to an endless loop and your game crashing
zanglebert 20 Jun, 2018 @ 9:07am
Hey again

I tried changing the threshold in the mod xml (hope you don't mind, I'm only doing it for myself), but it doesn't seem to make any difference.

I changed the skill thresholds and quality levels in the file "CraftingQualityRebalanced.cs", and nothing else. Should that be enough to change the levels, or is there another part of the mod that defines these values?

zanglebert 14 Jun, 2018 @ 11:42am
Yeah, guess I just wanted to nerd out a bit hehe

Anyway, I really like that your mod only makes a small change to game balance. Much better than, for example, good crafters /only/ making legendary items.
Phomor  [author] 14 Jun, 2018 @ 10:56am
That is true of course cause otherwise there would be some percentages missing. I meant that in the way that I did not favor one over the other, but just let the game decide how it would normally decide, only without the ability to get bad stuff with a good crafter.
zanglebert 14 Jun, 2018 @ 10:36am
@Phomor First, lemme say: Great mod. But... <puts on math hat> you /are/ changing the other probabilities, indirectly at least. Since you're rerolling whenever the RNG selects a disallowed quality, the probability mass assigned to the disallowed qualities is effectively "spread out" over the allowed qualities, thereby changing them indirectly. </math hat>
Phomor  [author] 6 Jun, 2018 @ 9:12am
The probabilities are not changed, I just removed the possibility by making it so that if a 17+ pawn would make a awful item, it rerolls the item quality with the default chances. If the quality then is again not enough it just rerolls again and so on.
Garlic 6 Jun, 2018 @ 4:26am
This is what I was looking for! One question though. How did you removed the possibility? Suppose 17+ pawn could make a weapon awful ~ poor by 10% chance. Then that all 10% goes to possibility of good quality? Or it splited evenly to good ~ legendary?
Meensai 2 Jun, 2018 @ 1:11am
Very much appreciated!
Kartel' 21 Apr, 2018 @ 4:19am
oh sorry i read not attentievely
Phomor  [author] 21 Apr, 2018 @ 4:11am
This mod already affects construction skill
Kartel' 20 Apr, 2018 @ 1:13pm
can you make it with construction skill?
Phomor  [author] 22 Mar, 2018 @ 6:33am
I wouldn't know how to make it with XML. Making it adjustable would be a bit of a hassle but maybe I'll look into it. If you know how to compile a dll it already is completely adjustable, you just have to swap out 4 numbers.
SaNSaI 21 Mar, 2018 @ 5:39pm
Thank you much needed , it would be even more nice if you could make it adjustable somehow, i did try do it myself by making a copy of yours and change it for own use but its way over my head when it comes to dll files D: is it not possible to make it XML? :o
Phomor  [author] 17 Feb, 2018 @ 5:27am
Yes. It affects everything where quality is decided by skill, including construction, smithing, tailoring, art.
LisanAlGaib 16 Feb, 2018 @ 3:36pm
Does it do the same thing with construction?
Other_Olly 15 Feb, 2018 @ 9:28am
Thanks. I'd been thinking that something along these lines should exist.
Lurmey 11 Feb, 2018 @ 4:48pm
I made a mod request for a similar mod a while ago, but it's a bit more complex than this. It would allow you to choose different speeds which would weight the outcome of the product. It could be combined with this to make crafting actually good. https://ludeon.com/forums/index.php?topic=38059.0
Deyon 11 Feb, 2018 @ 11:55am
thank you, a lvl 20 crafter should not make poor guns :)
