i never used them but i've seen them on a few youtubers use it
well there is 1 issue Miki scrap recycling is bugged. Nothing that can't be fixed with a little creative tool magic. Though being 38 episodes in, I'm just going to tough it out.
Oh and to Andy.wolverine the being inside the turret when you go to control it has been in the scenario for years now. The best work around to this issue is to build a custom turret and use it's camera to zoom in.
All the others work. (Or at least don't freeze the reticule in place halfway between 1st person & the G menu.)
Though, I *also* noticed that for some reason, the game started me at the default 100,000 PCU, when, after booting it back up to over 200,000 PCU, that there was only ~30k PCU left in the G menu.... (From Miki's Scrap, all the G-Corp grids, & all the other misc. POI's the mod adds.), which could ALSO have been the cause...
Update: It turns out the mod that was causing the G menu to lag the game out was "Upgradeable Thrusters". I guess it makes sense, as they're underneath all the other thrusters in the progression menu. Both the thrusters themselves & their upgrade modules.
Good suggestion, though in this case I started a new save, then started adding mods 1-2 at a time to find the culprit. Of my original 22-ish, there's 4 left I have to try:
- Federal Industrial - Logistics
- Federal Industrial - Construction
- Upgradeable Thrusters
- Ultimate Small Grid Conversion Pack
Of these remaining 4, I believe it's the last one that's the culprit, as it adds gas storage tanks & a refinery in small-grid format. Of which, I believe aren't put behind the usual progression bit that normally accompanies such items. And as EFM locks certain items away until 'hacking' said blueprints, & blocks others for the duration of the scenario....yeah...
You can test removing each mod to determine what is causing the lag.
Has anyone tried playing this scenario with mods, lately? I tried adding around 22 mods, but every time I try to open up the G menu, the game lags horribly & it maxes out my RAM.
Also, anyone know which game settings do & don't work with this scenario?
I have an issue in this mod. When I try to control any gatling turrets in the mod, the UI is broken. I'm inside in the gun, between the barrels, behind the round front plate. It is blocking the view, I can hardly see anything. Even worse, when I try to zoom in it zooms on the front plate. I'm not using any other mods, just the base game with all of the currently available DLCs. Does anyone else has this issue? Please let me know, thanks!
@sOrk, the problem has nothing to do with losing signals, the game suddenly stopped working for SassyKat
The weapon changes are coming in the big update.
Spoilers;
- No reactors nor uranium on Mars
- So no missiles on mars
- Extended mission objectives after (first) escape from mars
This is the first time I've heard of this problem. Does restarting SE and reloading the world fix the problem?
If so, it's an SE-related bug and should be reported.
Got an issue though. At some point convoys stopped coming and all hostile beacons disappeared from the HUD. Grids still exist in entity list. Any way to fix apart from restarting the whole game?
If I change the world, it does not change any existing saved games that any players have. So I tried really hard to avoid changing the world in any significant way.
And it's totally fine that the main mod wan't updated in a while - modding is ton of work, and if it still functional there is no reason to. The are remark was in no way meant as an nag.
It's just a bit confusing as new user looking at the workshop items (and that is before taking into account all the unrelated stuff Steam workshop might throw into the search results - mod-mods, personal edits etc).
I did not make the connection, that the World would automatically load this, updating the back end in a way.
You don't need to subscribe to this mod at all.
It is true that the official world has not been updated since 2019.
I'm working on a new version of the world to account for the many weapon types added in the years since and also extend the scenario beyond mars.
My inclination is to use this mod, since it's the most uptodate.
But then the second line of the mod description says "You don't need to subscribe to this mod. Load the official world" - and links to a workshop item that was not updated in 4 years - 4 Dec, 2019 @ 6:13am
And the short exchange with Become just below also seems to indicate, that i need to load the old mod.
What does this mod do or add to the table then? What will give me the best playing experience?
Can someone help me, I am playing EfM scenario but the convoy drone doesn't move and stay idle at the GCorp base.
What can I do to solve this problem?
Thank you :)
