Building on what Cray935 says; You can also replace vanilla gamestart events without overwriting the original file.

confirmed, this mod is not compatible with current version (2.2.4) I took a look in your modding scripts and I recommend you to NOT overwrite vanilla gamestart events. Instead replace the robots in a custom event. If you did this the mod would be compatible, atleast not as destructive as it is now.

Yeah it's pretty broken right now. I haven't gotten arround to working on a fix though. Don't know when I'll be able to.

Mod makes ME to start with 1 pop in capital at the beginning of the game after 2.2

@Darrien in theory it should be fixable. I am aware the event might cause some performance issues, but I’ve never noticed it myself. The only thing that happens every tick is the checking of the trigger for the event. But if it is actually causing performance issues, I’ll look into it. So let me know if this is the case.

One thing not sure if you can fix it, but this event - mechanist_robots.1 runs every single tick which could get pretty performance intensive in the game.

You can choose robot portraits and names when you "uplift" robots. That's good enough for me. Thanks for a great mod btw. :)

@Herr Kommissar that wouldn't work because the robotic traits wouldn't be available. Also, it would create a lot of incompatibilities with other mods.

@Dr Nilsson I've made my mod as compatible as possible out of the box. Anything more would require a compatibility patch for the specific mod, and I don't provide those.

So, BTW, just to let you know, this mod actually does not work with Cultural Overhaul, due to your having your own version of mechanist civic that overrides the base game. As it also does so, this results in the mods having conflicting files. With yours winning out. Consdering your event modding, I think if this mod is to be used with Cultural Overhaul without bugs, it will likely require an compatability patch.

Also, might want to update your mod's steam page to mention that any mod that modifies civic_mechanist will also have compatability issues.

@Cray935 The issue you reported seems to be a bug in the game, and not the mod. As such, I can't fix it. Luckily, it's a very minor bug.

There is an issue at species creation screen.
1. Choose Mechanist Civic + Robot Portrait
2. Switch to Machine Empire
--> Government section stays invalid as it does not recognize that Mechanist was deselected.

Actually, it would need Utopia to have Mechanist at all. Synthetic Dawn would only be needed for the portraits, since I believe robot customization was part of the free update.
