Ok. 3.0 is up. Added link in description to this one. :)
The Jagji  [author] 22 May, 2021 @ 4:20am
Ok, update.

Having looked at the map data, they have added a new line to map generation, witch none of the maps I have in this mod currently have. As such, that would be why it crashes.

I don't want to kill peoples games, who are still using the 2.8.0 version, SO, like I did with 1.9.0, I will make a NEW mod for 3.0.0 and up. I will add a link to it in the description when its done, witch should be in the next 24 hours. I just need to get the time to do it.

As a quick PSA, if you don't know how to revert back to the older versions of the game, you simply go to propertys, and then go to the beta bit. All the versions, right back to 1.0.0, are available to play, if you want to go and see how the game played on release. :)

Any news?
Råb!d 12 May, 2021 @ 10:50am
I'm looking for a Ginormous galaxy.
ItDontMatter 29 Apr, 2021 @ 8:45pm
Alright. Thank you for your response and for your time, I appreciate it.
The Jagji  [author] 29 Apr, 2021 @ 8:42pm
Hi MSFBigBoss69,

I have not actually update the mod for a while, so it could be changes to the way things work. I will have a look at it when I get home, as I am about to head to work. It could be as simple as just changing the version number, or it could be something else.
ItDontMatter 29 Apr, 2021 @ 8:28pm
Everytime I try to use the custom galaxy sizes, my game game crashes. I have a couple other mods enabled such as Gigastructure Constructs (the one that adds in a bunch of mega-structures), and Expanded Psionics. Is there an issue with these mods? I can't play the game without this mod, I'm too used to having 20,000 star systems to go back to a regular 1,000. Is there any way to fix this?
The Jagji  [author] 17 Nov, 2020 @ 1:11pm
Ok, so I ran a test. The problem is when it gets to loading the Map Graphics. So, I don't think load times are going to change.

As to the gameplay itself, that's down to your hardware + how the game itself handles it. Better the CPU the better your performance will be. I'm not sure, at least for the high star count maps, how much an update will do to it. For lower star counts, it might have some improvements

The other side of the coin tho is how many AI's you have. Not just enemies, but also fleets, how big they are and so on, is all going to factor into how well your PC runs the game. So, realisticly how well your PC runs the maps is down to your PC more than it is the game or the mod.
The Jagji  [author] 17 Nov, 2020 @ 11:54am
don't know. Have yet to try it.
saganmaineiac 16 Nov, 2020 @ 10:58pm
How much quicker do these map sizes run with the new 2.8 patch?
Dan 31 Mar, 2020 @ 3:06pm
Highly possible. Might be the issue with DLC additions perhaps. Mod is normally playable anyway. I've just ignored the bug. I recommend to subscribe.
The Jagji  [author] 31 Mar, 2020 @ 2:26pm
Yeah, like, unless something is spawning in the galaxy somewhere, Im not sure, outside of hardware not keeping up, what would be the issue here. The mod only adds new galaxy sizes after all.
Dan 31 Mar, 2020 @ 6:45am
The effect of the research (divided on 6 sub-researches) is the (I guess) receving the artifacts of Irassian civilization. Crash happens when at least one of those sub-researches is finished.

Galaxy size is "Brobdingnagian" S=10000 (I see only this one as the top one in pre-game settings)
The Jagji  [author] 30 Mar, 2020 @ 4:31pm
Ok, what I meant was, whats the effect of the research? Should have made that clearer. The effects would give me a clue as to why it might crash.

Also, the Galaxy Size your on would help too.

And thanks for likeing the mod. :)
Dan 30 Mar, 2020 @ 6:24am
But mod is really great. I'm fan. I just do not go forward with those researches :D
Dan 30 Mar, 2020 @ 6:23am
When it comes to researches on any topics related to Irissians - when the research is being finalized then the game crash ;) I had only your mod on, so might be some problems with mod or intiial version of game :)
The Jagji  [author] 29 Mar, 2020 @ 3:05pm
What dose the it do? I don't think I have come across it in any of my games. hahah
Dan 29 Mar, 2020 @ 9:33am
Hi, I've found a bug with Irassian artifact at 2351.02.18. Game crashes, dunno if its caused due to this mod, but I did not have any other being run expect this one. Might be worth to check it out :)
The Jagji  [author] 22 Jan, 2020 @ 11:09pm
@ekporos, no it hasent. Ita just cos of the new way the uploading works, I need to re-link it. If you go to my workshop list on my profile, it should be in there tho.
ekporos 18 Jan, 2020 @ 3:18am
Does the 1.9 version been removed?
saganmaineiac 7 Jan, 2020 @ 10:55am
Any luck?
The Jagji  [author] 4 Jan, 2020 @ 4:36pm
Ok, so given that I have had no probloms, Im going to push this update with no changes really, apart from the change needed to tell Stellaris its ok to use it. Once thats done, try it again to see if its working. If its not, I think it might be something else, cos they have not changed the way Galaxy gen file info...
Sabaithal 4 Jan, 2020 @ 4:23pm
Mid-tier gaming. Specifically a 1060 (6gb), 32gb RAM, and i7-6700HQ quad core.
The Jagji  [author] 4 Jan, 2020 @ 4:22pm
Oh, and also what settings for the map did you use? It could have something to do with the empire count rather than the map it sef being to big.
The Jagji  [author] 4 Jan, 2020 @ 4:21pm
well, I just did one no problom... There was a point where it froze up, but it did load the 3000 star map The Quest, witch has bigger nebulars as the only diff between the Massive 3000 star map. I will keep testing the bigger maps.

Whats your hardware BTW?
Sabaithal 4 Jan, 2020 @ 4:15pm
The game freezes for eternity. It simply refuses to generate.
The Jagji  [author] 4 Jan, 2020 @ 4:13pm
@Sabaithal, What happens when you try to do it?
Sabaithal 4 Jan, 2020 @ 3:38pm
Though, don't expect maps of 3k or larger to function any longer since the last major update.
The Jagji  [author] 4 Jan, 2020 @ 3:34pm
Unless they have changed things in the galaxy gen files, it should be fine. I have not updated it for a while tho, so I will have a look and do that anyway.
saganmaineiac 4 Jan, 2020 @ 3:32pm
How well does this work with 2.5?
The Jagji  [author] 13 Nov, 2019 @ 9:16pm
Right. And every system is a star or more surounded by planets. So, no. There are no systems in the Core. All this mod dose is change the star count and in some of the bigger ones, the size of the map to help with the amount of starts/systems.
VersionZero 13 Nov, 2019 @ 4:28pm
Not starts Just systems.
The Jagji  [author] 13 Nov, 2019 @ 4:11pm
Oh, no. There are no starts in the core of the galaxy.
VersionZero 13 Nov, 2019 @ 3:45pm
(Stars) generated in the galactic core. Like some galaxa generation mods systems are generated in the cire of the galaxy too
The Jagji  [author] 13 Nov, 2019 @ 1:52pm
Thats still not enough info for me to go on. lol What are you asking?
VersionZero 13 Nov, 2019 @ 6:20am
Core sytems?
The Jagji  [author] 12 Nov, 2019 @ 7:46pm
Core what?
VersionZero 11 Nov, 2019 @ 11:10am
Core?
Cookiesnm1lk 20 Jun, 2019 @ 3:20am
yeah neither do I. yet when i shut everything off it works... but tell me if there's a way to tell if it's working or not without having to generate a large map multiple times and i'll test if for you when i have time and say which one breaks it. but i NEED a better way to do this as i tried that and gave up half way through cause it was boring af.
The Jagji  [author] 20 Jun, 2019 @ 2:09am
Ok, so I just booted my mod up with no others running, and its def doing the 40K for me.

I can't really see any mods in your list that would fuck with mine or each other eather, so I am not sure what to do at this point. lol
Cookiesnm1lk 20 Jun, 2019 @ 12:11am
well... here's my mod list. i guess you'd be able to pick out what would conflict better than I can op. https://www.dropbox.com/s/i2mz4vkkmt9n6py/stellaris%20mod%20list.rtf?dl=0
The Jagji  [author] 19 Jun, 2019 @ 3:15pm
@sabaithal, yeah that's all it changes, so unless they add more info to the map generation, or completely change it as they did with 2.0, or the applying it did in one of the stories then all I do to update it is just change the info file to tell it what update its now on using.

@Cookiesnm1lk, yeah I am not really sure what's going on. I will check the map files and see if I have borked something, but I am putting my money on another mod fucking with it. Can you list the mods your using so I can get a better idea of what might be happening? Thanks.
Sabaithal 18 Jun, 2019 @ 8:03pm
Just to inform everyone, all this mod really does is edit the default galaxy size maps. You can do it yourself in "steamapps\common\Stellaris\map\setup_scenarios". Everything in the files is pretty self-explanitory, so unless I'm missing something this mod doesn't really need an update.
Cookiesnm1lk 18 Jun, 2019 @ 7:56pm
ugh. i have no idea how to test if this is working or not since eyeballing does not work. what would you suggest op?
Cookiesnm1lk 18 Jun, 2019 @ 11:28am
hmmm... going to try deactivating all of my mods but that one to make sure.
Cookiesnm1lk 18 Jun, 2019 @ 11:27am
a bunch. but it was working before 64 bit stellaris
The Jagji  [author] 18 Jun, 2019 @ 2:52am
Are you running any other mods?
Cookiesnm1lk 18 Jun, 2019 @ 1:57am
doesn't seem to be working atm. it's not generating more than 1k stars for me. even though i set it to do otherwise. takes more load time but gives me the same stars. i was able to generate the 40k star map, and it took like 10 minutes to do it but it still gave me 1k stars. i then tried 5k stars and it generated in about 2 minutes. i can also use the 150 star and that generates in about 10 seconds. so it's wokring... sort of.... pls fix. i love massive galaxies and now that i can use all of my ram this will be one of the greatest things ever.
Animaxe 12 Jun, 2019 @ 6:16am
Thank you Jagji. I can not play without your mod :) Thanks again !
The Jagji  [author] 11 Jun, 2019 @ 4:01pm
@Animaxe as long as they don't change anything in the map genaration then my mod should work fine even if its not compatible. But I just updated it now, so it should be all good to go. :)
