GuruSR's DIVORCE!

This mod undoes all the changes to the NPCs that the wedding does, not sure if every other divorce mod out there does that. I have been contemplating an NPC, but with all the city mods out there, it's difficult to place the NPC safely anywhere.

I just unsubscribed and found a better mod for divorces, thanks anyway

If you have Hearthfire you need to use the appropriate version (as listed above).

It works fine if you use the one when you come in, turn left it's that one on the small table. Thousands of people use it and it's fine, except using the wrong version of it, though, some marriage mods offer "their own" marriage system, if it's a default marriage and you don't have a marriage mod running, then this will work fine.

If your spouse dies, you can still "divorce". Why, because I ran into that too.

my wife die

Mara's Temple, in Riften, go inside, turn left, see the little Shrine on the table, thats it. Not sure what other descriptive location you need.
Testbox360 14 Feb, 2014 @ 8:16pm
A more descriptive location would help...

If anyone here has a save game of their "about to divorce" with children for Hearthfire and your game doesn't have a ton of mods, and want to send me that save, so I can test it out, please, get in contact with me, so I can fix this situation. Now, I am not sure if I can keep this mod the same or require a second one for Hearthfire. TIme will tell.
Testbox360 11 Jan, 2014 @ 9:25pm
Yes, please fix the HF Glitch, I'll give a try now.

You might be thinking of Hearthfire multiple adoptions [www.nexusmods.com] by TMPhoenix .
Decksy 18 Dec, 2013 @ 9:26am
there is a mod that lets you take ANY NPC to your hearthfire house. I cant remember what it is called but it worked for my friend.
ojml3 27 Nov, 2013 @ 8:02am
how to i divorce? where do i go?
AlphaGodith 28 Sep, 2013 @ 5:50pm
I'm not sure but I think this mod caused an unfortunate glitch in my game. I have a hearthfire house, so that might have something to do with it... anyway, after a divorce and re-marriage, my new spouse would not recognize our new home in falkreath, but would instead return to the place I found him, despite having all the proper married dialogue.
LG  [author] 29 Jul, 2013 @ 1:08pm
The Hearthfire DLC will be a problem (currently) with divorcing, though I don't recall it altering the temple at all. You may have another mod that alters that location. Some overhauls of cities will break this, place it at the bottom of the load order. See if it shows up. But I do know Hearthfire changed the relationship (marriage) to the point, you may have issues with it. I'm still looking into it.

i got healthfire and Dawngurd DLC and i dont see anynthing in maras temple any help guys??
NateDogg 18 Jul, 2013 @ 4:30pm
Nice and simple. I like it. It dousn't make you do 8000 things, adn get killed 400 times to get it.
LG  [author] 20 Jun, 2013 @ 5:30am
I'm still waiting on some assistance from people who have the DLCs in question, to get back to me with sources so I can track down the changes. I am working on the problem.
oklawhaler 5 May, 2013 @ 12:32pm
Like SiTWulf, I found that the mod did indeed work perfectly with (for me) two big bugs...
wife would/could not enter any Hearthfire Home and it never showed Vlindrel Hall in Markarth as a home to move to...
Also, I guess I should have looked at the 'official game guide' more closely ----- after the divorce, I found out that the partner I was interested in ,,,,, COULD NOT be married ! ! !
what happens to the childern ?
Saishu 5 May, 2013 @ 11:16am
Its Crashing my game, it wont let me go into the temple.
SiTWulf 16 Apr, 2013 @ 7:24pm
Works perfectly, but i find one bug...
Is not compatible with Hearthfire, with this mod enabled your wife cant go to heartfire houses.
The divorce works perfect without any problem, but you cant send your new wife to your hearthfire house, only works in dawnguard houses, or original houses.
Dark cloud 15 Apr, 2013 @ 12:42pm
thanks for the mod.

Mara's temple, walk inside, turn left see statue on table, use it.
Monteasie 28 Feb, 2013 @ 5:48am
Where is it located? I couldn't find it.
LG  [author] 12 Jan, 2013 @ 5:41pm
For those having issues, not sure what to say, what I did was I "reverse engineered" the act of marriage. Meaning I: Put took the faction out, removed the "wife" variable value on the marriage quest, stopped the necesssary quests (put them back to their pre-marriage state), if the person was one of the follower types, put them back to their pre-marriage state. So, what is left is, the game is in a state that was before you were married (or started the marriage). I tested this repeetedly, married 4, divorced 3. Didn't have any issues, though, my only thought would be, you have a race mod that is causing grief or you have a marriage mod that is causing grief. Either way, pm me with your mod list and perhaps I may be able to find a resolution.

I'm sorry but this mod does not work! I married and used the mara GuruSR's divorce and was not able to ever marry again. May as well have killed her off as divorce her. Either way you will not be able to marry again. At least not in this mod.

Thank you, very much appreciated!
Octavius 25 Dec, 2012 @ 4:32pm
Serana isn't a default marriable NPC. You have to get a mod that allows you to marry her.
Wesley Franken 8 Dec, 2012 @ 6:16am
Work perfect
mushashi 2 Dec, 2012 @ 10:45am
Good job!
This mod works fine for me.

I was so stupid to marry Lisette. But htere is still the problem with her 'wandering off' to The Winking Skeaver, so she basically never stays at your house. Shame, she is the hottest chick in Skyrim. Short, blond, sexy voice etc.

I used this mod to get rid of Lisette and remarried. This time Ingun Black-Briar. It works perfect.

Thanks for you efforts, LG.
Snivo 15 Nov, 2012 @ 1:38pm
you cant marry serana
BlackhawkShazam 12 Nov, 2012 @ 4:02pm

Entered Temple of Mara Activated Shrine to my left and Divorced.Very fast, easy and clean.
Second wife left before the Marriage Ceremony finished I could not find her anywhere,
when I waited outside the Temple for 24 hours (Game Time) and re-entered the Temple my new
wife was there. A Big Thumbs Up for this Mod...Favorited Thanks.
mycastlecellar 2 Aug, 2012 @ 10:25am
I don't get this. Got the divorce and still can't get married again. Seems to be crap to me! May as well have killed her.
Sludge Lagoon 28 Jul, 2012 @ 2:39pm
I like this it makes me chuckle when I see it in my list. I will live in hope someone comes up with a multiple marriage script, you could have one for each house.
mycastlecellar 27 Jul, 2012 @ 8:45am
I subscribed to this but have as yet to even marry. I used the "setrelationshiprank player 4" and the "addfac 19809 1" but so far have not been able to get women to want and marry my charactor. About ready to give up on that idea. Ha!
The G.H.O.S.T. King 4 Jul, 2012 @ 11:41am

andrew.jamie 10 Jun, 2012 @ 12:14am

Dragoras 12 May, 2012 @ 7:52am
i married Aela the huntress several times.. I was trying all marriagable npcs to see which one i liked best.. aela was the best for me, best sounding and attitude.
leavemariaalone 6 May, 2012 @ 1:38pm
Can you remarry the same person once you've divorced them? Doubt anyone's tried this, but I thought I'd ask.
