In case this is something general you might need to do the voicecache rebuild again, also check your game is in english language.
Didn't check the last update so far. But i play l4d2 (with my voice replace) from time to time.
The mod is build out of thousands of single files in the voice folders:
e.g. the file sorry05.wav in ...:\Steam\steamapps\common\Left 4 Dead 2\left4dead2\sound\player\survivor\voice\coach
You could try to rename the folders from my voice replaced from l4d2 survivors to l4d1 survivors
This should work for most files which all survivors have in common.
But there are also unique files to each survivor, this is where i could become tricky.
One pretty easy workaround could be... as example:
copy the files from ruby to the folder from bill, and let it replace, after replacing delete everything which is NEW in the folder and just stay with the changed and old ones.
It could happen that you hear some files from bill -> pyrrha but for the basic ones it should work.
I'm not even sure if you still check these collections but hopefully you do and might have an answer <3
It is possible to use just one... but i don't see any sense in it.
Download both copy them in one folder and use it as one
I add more voice lines when RT finished Season 6 RWBY and Season 3 RWBY Chibi.
ive got too many things installed and its hard to find
The longer you take the better it can be :3 so no rush !
The only thing i thought about is, the difference between the original file length and the modified file length maybe cause some trouble.
These sneeze blank expansion is an idea, i will put it in in my next update. But currently im modding SSB4 so i think it will take some weeks till a full update.
E.g. 00:00-00:03 = sneeze sound 00:03-00:006 blank audio.
Also the files that volvo is using are .wav 16-bit 48kHz compressed same as tf2.
Might be the reason why they might not load ?
I dont know how much you know about Audio editing etc...
And also take your time doing that | a slow and good tested solution is a solution without faults.
But its very much work and it's not working properly. The Order of the files is only semi-defined.
It think most of the stuff is from RWBY series.
Lets say
50 % RWBY
25 % RWBY-Chibi
25 % RWBY-GE
Blank files were an option i also think about and i tried. The problem is, e.g. with Rubys laugh.... there are 17 different files for laughter and most of them won't load and i don't know why. If i blank the wrong (or right :-) ) ones no sound will ever play.
I will test some of the files for sneeze, but i can't promies quick solution.
Also some sort of story is always included in l4d2 anyway.
So maybe try to take some casual dialogs out of it ? Idk
And another thing, would be nice if you extend the sneezes from any charakter.
By that i mean to add some blank audio to the existing audio file so it doesn't spamms the sound too often.
And yes ofc i didn't expected you to update this after any small change lol.
Its a serious pain to rename and edit the sounds and then compiling it to vpk.
I have tried to use as many lines as possible with the danger of "not 100% fitting" data.
But it's very hard to get new stuff out of season 4-5 couse most of the discussions are to story-driven and therfore unusable.
If someone found good lines for l4d2 please let me know (season/episode/time/character) i will always try to improve these mods.
But i dont reupload the files for every single improvement off course :-)
More variations and more fitting sounds would be great instead of the same lines over and over again.
Other then that good work on this.
