I have a lot of fun to play at your wave to laser. I was a little afraid that the problem is too difficult when I saw all these lasers, but no, because the problem is well done and quite logical. Thumb up.
I'm pretty awkward, as you can see on this video . Why not have planned to be able to operate the pedestal button more than once and thus to popup the reflector cube

Good one, thanks.

That was busy. I didn't notice the cube drop that I needed and had to go back through to find it. I enjoyed playing. Thank you Drackvor.

true, but I want the player to go there to get the cube..wait, ok you have given me an idea, although I am at the item limit i think i can modify it to make it work... ... tomorow though :D

if they did not need a cube from this chamber.
you could use a fizzler.
Drackvor  [author] 17 Mar, 2013 @ 3:29pm
hmm ill think on that, although i doubt many people would take all of the cubes out of the chamber, there should be a way to stop it, ill think on it a while

if you portal the reflectors out of the 2nd puzzle.
then go back & take the cube off the button.
you become traped.

no I think it is ok like that, it will start getting overly complicated if I link both of the puzzles, and I wanted them to feel like 2 seperate pieces to a larger puzzle, which with the transport tubes, I think it feels some what like that, there is still the view of the spheres bouncing in a wave formation from the room, and it helps obscure the second room so you cant see whats coming aswell as you used to be able to! unless another loophole is found, I am quite happy with the map...for now anyway :

if you want to keep it looking good ?
why not make connecting the 2 puzzles, as I did.
part of the sollution.
then get rid of the spare cube.
or use it for something else ?

Ah ha! very clever, althoug this can be easily solved (even if it does cess with some of the aesthetics of the chamber...I have a couple of plans that may help!

I just watched toncica's video.
I had played this with no sound. as I had my music on.
so I missed the opening panel, where the spare reflector cube was.
so my sollution to get a spare cube is:

remember lasers go through glass.

I think we are arguing the same point here Toncica...both coming at different angles to the same conclusions :D I will certainly have a look at your maps although i have no software to record as you do :P

Of course it has its uses, sometimes I use invisible connections too. I don't know if you have played my map One of these Days (Medium) . There is a pedestal button that activates piston platforms, flip panels, an angled panel and turns a fizzler off. Only the fizzler connection is shown, the others would confuse the player in my opinion. But at least the player has an idea why he should press the button (to turn the fizzler off) in contrast to anonymous buttons.

lol, I can understand why people do it, as it lets them add more to the maps, but signage also allows people to add the same amount and invisible, also i have found it something operates 5 or 6 things in the same area, only 1 needs to be ant-lined, not all, so it has its uses but as you say also its dis-advantages!
toncica 15 Mar, 2013 @ 9:35am
How dare you call me tonica (without the extra c)?! Tonica is the worst imaginable insult in my language. Damn you! ;)
The visibility of connections was just something I had to get off my chest, it wasn't you who triggered my anger about this issue, but as I said there are other maps which strongly abuse this option. Lazy folks setting the connections to invisible instead of putting more effort into the map to not make it look chaotic with visible connections. So don't take it personal because I wrote it down here instead of somewhere else. I chose to comment here because on your maps it's only a mild issue and that helped me to stay civil when addressing that annoyance. :)

Dam i just realised i called you Tonica, not Toncica! I even miss that extra dam C when i say your name in my head :( appologies
Drackvor  [author] 15 Mar, 2013 @ 8:21am
well that run through you completed the puzzle in the general way I had intended, Tonica, I try to make my maps as visible as I can, unless part of the intended puzzle is working out that a switch / button / laser catcher...whatever, has done more than one thing, but then I will make one part more obvious, to try and draw your attention away from the "hidden" activation, I just hope you enjoyed the map :)
Drackvor  [author] 15 Mar, 2013 @ 7:59am
I wanted to keep as much visibility here as i could, but after putting in all of the items, i had to either change the connections to signage or invisible, the problem of course with having the wave form is that it takes a lot of element tokens/points to achieve and get reliable timing, although on one of my other maps smebody gave me an idea that may beable to bring back some visibility in connections within the chamber, In the laser rooms, i didnt want any reall visibility as there would be an overload of signs / ant lines, and playing it a couple of times, it struk me that people would quickly come to the conclusion that they all needed to be activated in some way
toncica 15 Mar, 2013 @ 5:26am
The thing with elaborate mechanisms is you rarely have direct connections between elements and thus you make most connections invisible. By "you" I mean everyone who creates these types of maps. On your maps it's not as extensive as on other maps. I have run through chambers which had not a single visible connection on buttons and such, that really makes me upset and I don't even comment on those maps because it would be futile. This is meant as a friendly advice not to go down further on the road to invisibility. I think it is best to present the maximum amount of information to the player and if that's not possible then rather think it over if a complex mechanism makes the puzzle better or worse. Maybe just a matter of taste and opinion.

yeah i think you may have got to the funnel how i intended, there is a very esy way to get there! hope you enjoy the other chambers as much as you have this one, they are all a collection called "The Tests"
Bayram 14 Mar, 2013 @ 2:19pm
Maybe my "final step" was not your intent, but when I got back to the exit and the funnel was running, I was convinced that I'd messed up somewhere so that I couldn't get up to the funnel. When I found how easy it was to do, I got this big wave of relief and satisfaction . I'm off now to look at your other chamber(s).
Drackvor  [author] 14 Mar, 2013 @ 1:55pm
Thank you, for such a small room, it's right at the item limit! but that is probably down to the central formation but when you say the final step, do you mean getting to the exit...or the final "chamber"?
Bayram 14 Mar, 2013 @ 1:52pm
That was a lot of fun, thumbs up! I appreciated the concept, the painstaking execution and the balance of challenging puzzles and rewarding progress. The final step was a real kicker!
