Unfortunately divisions for the bots are assigned based on the maps. You might be able to bypass it by modifying the map scripts

Is there a way to change the bot divsions in practice mode, I really enjoy these player models but don't desire to work with volksstrum all day

It may be lower quality (lower vertex counts and texture resolution) but its mainly personal preference as to which models people prefer. Some may like original models, whereas those who are fans of COD5 may like to see these models ingame in DOI.

For regular units the goggles/gas mask is controlled by scripts. For the flamethrower unit i arranged the model to load the gasmask regardless of script settings. To totally remove it you have to decompile,modify the QC and recompile that model itself. Sadly this only works consistently for the regular wehrmacht faction as other units on the Axis side jumbles up the models.. example is the model for officer replaces the rifleman unit in some axis factions.

@Sgt. Pierson - I extracted the models from the game myself. You can google on how to do so. There are at least 2 easy and reliable methods available.
@Nedly Dedly - I recolored the texture for the regular Wehrmacht models.

Who are these Afrika Korps-like soldiers? I know about unused Fallschirmjaegers and (who also appear to be unfinished/only in conceptual phase) Volkssturm, but never saw or heard about these guys.

I nvr played Arma series so i dont have any experience modding that game. Whereas for PostScriptum will have to wait and see once it is out

My primary point is that although cod ww2 is generally shit, it probably has the highest quality player models I've seen yet in a ww2 game, although they have some faults here and there, they are superb models (especially some of the waffen ss models you see later in the campaign)

Now I know from earlier in this thread that you said cod ww2 player models work in this game. is it a possibility though that they could work in a game like arma 3 or Post Scriptum (post scriptum will have mod support when it is released).

Mods amazing, question, is there a way to tweak so the head dismember doesnt happen? it just look odd when the gas mask or helmet is just hanging in there lol

Ah alright. Glad it works fine now. I usually use custom folder for all my mods as it is the most reliable method for me to troubleshoot. Sometimes workshop folders may get finicky and you may get all kinds of bugs

I tried the vertexlitgeneric shader mod and it did nothing, but after copying it into the custom folder, everything is fixed :steamhappy:

Another method you can test is to locate this mod`s vpk in the steam workshop folder then copy it to your dayofinfamy/doi/custom folder. Once you have copied that then unsubscribe from this workshop item then prefereably restart your pc so Steam can like "refresh" the workshop cache. Just another possible fix method worth trying.

Another workshop user had this problem after tweaking the shaders. Did you try the vertexlitgeneric shader mod? You can try subscribing to that to see if it fixes it?

That screenshot shows the german_clothes.vtf being replaced with a head texture`s vtf. In my mod files there is no way this can happen as all character heads and hand meshes do not use the playerunifrom proxy in their vmts. As for the clothing texture vtfs i have already checked them all and none have head textures in them.

As for the US models being dismembered , i face it often too especially if i play a few rounds on a server where initially players and bots look fine. Then on the 2nd or 3rd round onwards the human player models start to be dismembered whereas bots are not. When i compiled the models I followed the original DOI dismemberment sequence of code in the QC file so this would be a server issue which i cant do much to fix.

The models use RNG which allows 2 frames in a texture. So pure black textures could be where a frame is missing or the RNG is trying to load a 3rd non existant frame. Issue is this only happens if the vmt entries are modified further as ive already checked my mod files for errors in the vmts and tested them ingame also. Another possible cause is where alternate skins overiding the original DOI "german_clothes.vtf" which by default only have 1 frame of texture. So when the RNG loads 1-2 frames one will be colored and another is pure black. As for the "naked" afrika korp soliders if you can get a screenshot for me so i can better see what might be the problem. These models do not use translucency or alpha for major parts of the character models so it should cause the upperbody to be invisible.

I am just going to update you how is it working, All Wehrmacht (Default) uniform are absolutely perfect in servers, but are still total black in practice, back to the servers, nearly half of the Desert uniform soldiers look like naked, but the other half are perfect like the pictures above. The worst error is that, alotta american soldiers are the dismembered ones, they look like zombie with guns.

@henryrhu47 maybe try unsubscribing and then maybe the next time you log on your steam resubscribe and see if it fixes it. If it is still causing problems ill double check the mod files here to see if i missed something and then get back to you.
@Steiner... Helmets are slightly scaled up compared to original COD5 ones due to the jigglebone effect. If it is fitting on the head whenever they move and the helmets wobble it will clip through their scalps.. So you will see the tops of their heads popping out through the top of the helmet

I did checked, the only skins or playermodels are downloaded is this one, the US Marines and the Soviets and all 3 reskins are from you.

I also realise, the Panzergrenadiere Desert uniform in Commachio looked like they are shirtless

Do check if you have any other playermods or skins subscribed to as it may cause conflicting issues with the german textures which have to named to the original DOI ones. Really not sure what the cause is here

As i mentioned before and in the description , invisibles are due to server settings which i cant control. You can test to see if they appear fine in practice mode. Another issue to check is if you have other german team playermods on which may overide the unit specific textures.

Maybe try unsubscribing and then resubscribing , it could be a minor cache issue.. And also check if you have any other playermods/skins subscribed to , as especially german models have to use DOI`s original texture names so it could be overiden by other mods that replace the same "named" texture files.
