May I incorporate the arms trade mechanics of this mod into the mod I'm making?

@aszykmarta: Mola was never acknowledged as leader, even of the governing body he helped set up which nominally answered to Miguel Cabanellas (as the most senior general) and the body elected Franco as commander in chief in September of 1936. This is represented by Sanjurjo being left as 'leader' after his death with the "leaderless faction" modifier until you take the focus for Franco or Mola to succeed him.
The Republicans may not have been entirely communist on day 1, but the communists quickly had control of the situation on the Republican side to the point where all the Spanish gold reserves got shipped off to Stalin and they had NKVD agents in Spain conducting purges of the POUM, a communist affiliate that was seen as too Trotskyite.

Also, the Republicans weren't commies...
Kakaokka_ 22 Apr, 2019 @ 12:41pm
There is a small mistake in SCW; After Sanjurjo's death, Emilio Mola [en.m.wikipedia.org] became the leader of Nationalists. Franco was leader from October 1936. Before this Franco was leader of Nationalist forces in Morocco.

@aszykmarta: Not really; the sources are a total mess but the best I can gather that council was strictly an organ of Nationalist China created to allay threats by Inner Mongolian nobility to seek help from Japan if their desire for autonomy was not addressed. The council had no real power in Suiyuan outside of Pailingmiao (due to conflicts with Yan Xishan and his generals over control and the council's military inferiority against them) and the territory shown as Mengkukou at game start was Japanese-occupied and only when the council basically defected to Japan were they allowed to do anything with it. Mengkukou being designated on the map at all prior to May of 1936 isn't strictly historical, but if they're not their it would go to Japan not to the committee.

Can you put a Mongol Local Autonomy Political Affairs Committee (Pailingmiao Council) in the place of Mengkukuo?

@aszykmarta: Yeah, that was oversight on my part not to change from what Paradox had set as the leader of fascist faction of China previously. Will fix.

The Blue Shirt Society was a hidden clicque in Kuomintang, that fought the Japanese, not collaborated with them.
Kakaokka_ 22 Mar, 2019 @ 2:33pm
The Blue Shirt Society was led by Dai Li, not Wang Jingwei.

Version 1.13 is out and compatible with vanilla 1.6.1 and 1.6.2(currently open beta). Big addition was a focus tree for Iran. 1.14 is scheduled for two weeks (April 5) and will feature an expansion of Italy's focus tree with a number of alternate paths and some additional flavour focuses in the military branches.

@Everyone: Version 1.11 is out and is compatible with vanilla 1.6 and Man the Guns. We should have an update to the armstrade system next Friday using the new functions from Paradox for scripted GUI and diplomatic actions making it both look much better and increase control for the player followed by return to our usual schedule of a release every two weeks.

@Lord Samuel Eriksson of Chaol Gh: The Bourbon cross; red X on a white field? Yes, that makes perfect sense for them as that was their preferred symbol.

@Meridio: It's not high on the priority list; currently I'm working on getting Japan and China to fight a halfway decent war.
Meridio 31 Mar, 2018 @ 11:34am
Don't you insert Blackshirts for Italy?
RivtalDM  [author] 31 Mar, 2018 @ 11:11am
Hello everyone, update 1.0.1 was just published! You can read the change notes, but the big change was the addition of a focus tree for Turkey and a LOT of behind-the-scenes AI stuff. This wasn't necessarily where we intended to go when we started working this week, but it became clear from our tests that the AI wasn't behaving up to par (and probably still isn't, but this is a big step in the right direction).
RivtalDM  [author] 28 Mar, 2018 @ 1:40pm
@Meridio: That's up to whether you turn the "Historical AI Focus" option on or off. When ON we work to make things closer to history than vanilla but when OFF we give you the option described above to direct AI nations which parts of their focus tree to take instead of just being random.
Meridio 28 Mar, 2018 @ 9:50am
This is historical or ahistorical?
