Impressive; it's the Duke Nukem Reloaded (from Interceptor?) we all wanted but never got. The combat is a bit Serious Sam oriented but that's logical due to the used engine. Apart from the licensing issues it deserves a standalone version.

Absolutely FANTASTIC. For oldies (1981) like me, who grown up on DN3D, this brings some good memories. Recommended to all, not just DN3D fans. I do like the extra little new bits added to original game level design. Great idea. Thank you for this. :mllrcrosshair:

So in the showroom, Duke's Home Away From Home, Blue Brain Minors spawn, like the vanilla SS3 enemies. You know anything about that?

Hello, I'm stuck at the beginning in the elevator, i try to get on the ladder (in vr mode) the game says to use the grip button to use the ladder and when i do that it spawns me in the middle of the elevator again. what should i do?

This is amazing dude, seriously. Just finished all three maps tonight and dude cannot wait for more. Your attention to detail, the cutscenes, and the music from time to kill, the noises, etc using various duke games for your audio and inspiration, seriously amazing. Thank you for making this, it's the duke 3d remake I never knew I wanted

yes, I recently found a way to convert original Duke3D map geometry into (untextured) 3D models, which saves me tons of work. I also got the help of an experienced 3d artist who is creating some amazing models..
So the plan is to remake the remaining 3 levels of episode 1 and further improve the first 2 maps
E1L3 should be finished in the next few weeks.

The map overwrites the default player skeleton and animations, could you fix that?

Also, don't know if it's a bug, but you can melee the woman in the bar and create infinite kleer skulls. :P

Now this is seriously impressive! My only small gripe is the battle design; while it's definitely more Sam-like, that works well with this game, I do find that the level is somewhat cramped for that, since obviously the original layout wasn't made with that in mind. But still quite great work!

Do you have both maps installed?
I think right now it only works with the maps.
Otherwise, wait a few days..I'm working on an updated package for the workshop (ressoures and replacemen versions).

Thanks man!.. yeah, I really haven't playtestet it enough on serious. Is there even enough ammo for the red biomech and khnum? ^^
Update with balancing on serious and other stuff should be ready very soon.

This is one of the best homages to Duke Nukem I've seen in a while. Played the map through on Serious difficulty three times and found the enemy balancing to be just about perfect, with the only exception being the battle after collecting the yellow key card, where minor biomechs and rocketeers come at you from the two streets forcing you into the middle. The problem isn't the battle but the fact that a red biomech spawns right next to you, which feels kinda cheep considering that 9/10 times it instigibbed me. Other than that, the only other thing I can think of is some of Duke's voice lines were kinda quiet, but that's really about it. The amount of work and detail put into this map is simply staggering and I can't wait to see more content and for the sewer section to be added!

HD textures with normal/parallax maps and some scenery models scattered around make you forget that you are playing a remake of a level made more than 20 years ago, which is lovely! Any plans on deathmatch version? Dueling with friend on Hollywood Holocaust was a fun time :)

Well, I'm considering remaking the whole LA Meltdown episode as a TC, but I'm not sure about that atm. This stuff takes a lot of time.
Also not sure yet if my next map is going to be an original or another Duke one. So don't expect a full E1 remake any time soon :)

dunno, but I hope the original creators will do official Fusion versions at some point, because I don't want to upload their works as my own workshop items.
