@Goopasloppababookaba a javelin thrown in the athletics track and field is made of aluminium weighs less than a few kilos. a actual pilum weighs depending on the type and period make, 4/5kg

i can throw a athletic javie around 40 50ft

i can sucsessfully throw a light pila 20-30ft and heavy pila around 15-20 max

People online underestimate how far a javelin/pilum can be thrown. I used to be friends with a javelin thrower on the Japanese Olympic team. Okay she was built like a UFC fighter and probably a lot stronger than an average soldier but could still throw twice as far as the game allows.

Thank you so much for this mod. Its the best Pilum mod out there that doesnt makes the pila outright OP or adds other stuff to the game. But i have one question: Can you release the stats? Damage and AP? Just curious :) Thx in advance and thx for this mod. I really enjoy it.

Range is too short to make the pilum of any real use when fighting defensively and a charging volley tends to fall short when thrown at pikemen in phalanx formation barely touching the first row of pikemen. It is very useful and accurate when charging other types of infantry though.
