it actually works, I think. it is possible to enable it even if the game says its incompatible.

Sorry deleted my question right when I asked it. I've got confused as I realize I already have your "better great wall mod downloaded" which I find to be suiting. However the GS expansion says that mod is still out of date.

Sorry, but I'm not gonna do that. I think early forts are needed as counterweight against aggressive civs launching surprise attacks, that's why I made them unlock at engineering.

Just tested it With Civ 6 Rise and Fall multiplayer, it crashed.

Could you make a light version of this that leaves the Engineer unit alone? I like the idea of properly utilizing the best defensive terrain for forts but I don't have any problems with the current engineer/fort position in the tech tree

Try to disable and re-enable your DLC add-ons. Lately, DLC has been causing issues with many mods.

A very good idea but... Impossible to launch a game with your mod (R&F version).
