Hey m8, I have some questions about this mod, would you be interested in having a chat on steam about it? It's quite a long one, so just a heads up so you know what you're in for, its about a damage eventhandler issue I had a few years back, documented on the forums, I digress for now in case it goes on deafs ears, but that's what the friend request is for.

Hey can you tell me the class name of explosion you're using. I'm trying to add a fuel pump explosion to an object for a mod I am working on. I can add other explosions like LGB bombs ect but I would like to use land fuel pump explosion and add fire to the object.

I like this mod. It keeps vehicles from being immediately lethal to the occupants, which can be nice!

However, I like the ACE cookoff sound effects more. Is there a way to keep this mod and ACE3 but have the ACE3 cook-off sound effects take priority over this mods?

@Buzzil I tried that but it did not seem to do it. Signatures and everything look good, I have been tinkering with the server for a bit. Everything is working great just no UI options on the dedicated. It is possible it is some issue with my server setup maybe. I saw you have the code available on github and I see where I could change this on init to get the behavior I want - I may tinker with it that way. Before I go that route my last question is, do you know if it is possible for me to edit "GVAR(cookingVehicles)" from the admin debug console? It seems everything works besides the addon options for me so that might do the trick. I appreciate your help! Love the mod by the way, it adds a lot of immersion! Awesome stuff.

I think you need mod both on server and your client to be able to see it in UI.

@Buzzil Thank you for the quick reply! I was able to find the settings in Addon Options on a single player game, so I know what I am looking for now. But on my dedicated servers I do not see anything about this mod on any tab, even as admin. It is loaded too. I even tried running with only CBA and this mod in the case it was a conflict but still nothing on the dedicated servers. Any ideas?

Log in as admin on your dedicated server, then open Addon Options and switch to SERVER tab. Now you should see dzn Vehicle In Fire in the addons dropdown.

I am trying to figure out how to make it so small drones will get destroyed immediately instead of being disabled. The "Usage" section above says you can update classes that should or should not explode, but I cannot figure out how this is done or where to do that. I do not see any mod settings on "addon options" while on my dedicated server, but vehicles are definitely burning, I am not sure where else to edit this. Is there a config file somewhere where - or how is this done? Any help from anyone is appreciated. Thanks!

So this mod is like ace 3 damage model for destroying vehicles? But for vanilla? :)

ACE vehicle damage for “car” types is still in test, sometimes it makes car very hard to be destroyed, even been hit by multiple .50 rounds. So VOF is still has its place.

If you mean 'put out' - no.

Yup, there is a repo https://github.com/10Dozen/dzn_VOF . But i recommend to use ACE3's vehicle damage component instead as current mod is just a vulgar recreation of ace2 feature.

Basically this mod was a placholder until ACE3 implements such feature, so there are no any sense to use both. Anyway from my expirience it works well with ACE3, sometimes VOF taking care of burning the vic, sometimes ACE.

i love this mod but is there any way to disable the smoke effect? for some reason it doesnt dissipate as it rises an just collects at its max height

Does this mod no longer work? Installed on my dedicated server, both server and admin are running it (confirmed in rpt log). Doesn't show up in addon options though. Was this broken by cba and ace updates like dzn extended jamming?

They did for last few years. Anyway - you can just exclude 'Air' from list in the settings to avoid that.

I FUCKING LOVE THIS MOD. THANK YOU. One thing though, is that there's a script thing that pops up on my screen sometimes when the mod activates and the burning starts.

If you are mission maker - you can slap this setVariable ["ace_cookoff_enable", true] to vehicles related to task - this will prevent any VOF logic for this vehicles and you can blowup them instantly.

I mean this is fine 50% of the time and all but the other 50% you plant 4 Charges of 2.5KG TNT right beneath the truck, explode it all at once and that thing starts to mildly burn and still take a couple minutes to finally explode. I don't mind the "no instant destruction" in a logical sense but if you got enough tnt beneath a vehicle it should, by all means, just fucking die already.

small bug sometimes. that the vehicle is not breaking further. so the vehicle is usable after a hit. but is completely out fuel and we can not move it anymore. wich is very anoying.

But for the rest it is a nice mod. but i cannot use it how i wanted because of this bug

Мод берет значения повреждений после обработки движком (то есть после прохождения брони). Если РХС там еще скриптами крутит-вертит демедж, то вопросы уже к ним. Тем более, что за последний год они прикрутили свое "горение" к большей части своей техники, поэтому если играете только с рхс, то ингнорируйте этот мод.

решил я добавить БМП-2 из RHS
все работает отлично, ноо
БМП потеряла свою мощь брони
с обычной мины может загореть
можно как то увеличить живучесть у нее?

So this works great with RHS because that mod actually models armor penetration and killing crews.

But with other mods such as iron front, the lack of fire damage limits it.

And also I agree with the other poster, there should be a probability of vehicles catching on fire. Even better, have a chance of them either catching on fire or cooking off.

Otherwise, great mod

See description above (Usage section). IIRC with default settings BTRs with 30mm autocannon won't burn, but explode (because they have 30mm HE rounds)

im having trouble getting the effect of burning vehicles without the initial destroyed hull. how do i get the effect of the btr in your photo for the mod? am i simply doing too much damage? do i need specific settings fo rit?

another issue, it seems that I can sit in a burning vehicle indefinetly while everything is red and not get hurt. I even get the "FIRE" warning.

Im using ACE if it matters.
