However, I like the ACE cookoff sound effects more. Is there a way to keep this mod and ACE3 but have the ACE3 cook-off sound effects take priority over this mods?

I think you need mod both on server and your client to be able to see it in UI.

Yup, there is a repo https://github.com/10Dozen/dzn_VOF . But i recommend to use ACE3's vehicle damage component instead as current mod is just a vulgar recreation of ace2 feature.
Basically this mod was a placholder until ACE3 implements such feature, so there are no any sense to use both. Anyway from my expirience it works well with ACE3, sometimes VOF taking care of burning the vic, sometimes ACE.

They did for last few years. Anyway - you can just exclude 'Air' from list in the settings to avoid that.

If you are mission maker - you can slap this setVariable ["ace_cookoff_enable", true] to vehicles related to task - this will prevent any VOF logic for this vehicles and you can blowup them instantly.
But for the rest it is a nice mod. but i cannot use it how i wanted because of this bug

Мод берет значения повреждений после обработки движком (то есть после прохождения брони). Если РХС там еще скриптами крутит-вертит демедж, то вопросы уже к ним. Тем более, что за последний год они прикрутили свое "горение" к большей части своей техники, поэтому если играете только с рхс, то ингнорируйте этот мод.

But with other mods such as iron front, the lack of fire damage limits it.
And also I agree with the other poster, there should be a probability of vehicles catching on fire. Even better, have a chance of them either catching on fire or cooking off.

See description above (Usage section). IIRC with default settings BTRs with 30mm autocannon won't burn, but explode (because they have 30mm HE rounds)
