I've downloaded it from the dropbox link but it doesn't seem to work. After 200 years of campaign noone of the cultures has spawned.

Downloaded this mod from the dropbox link. There are several OR bugs in empires of conquest for vanilla\common\retinue_subunits 00_retinue_subunits.txt file affecting and making unrecruitable the following retinue types :

RETTYPE_CUL_SCOT
RETTYPE_CUL_ROMAN
RETTYPE_CUL_ANDALUSIAN
RETTYPE_CUL_BYZ
RETTYPE_CUL_IRISH
RETTYPE_CUL_DUTCH
RETTYPE_CUL_NAHUA
RETTYPE_CUL_OUTREMER

I know as per the authors comment below that this is unlikely to get an update anytime soon but it is still worth pointing out in the hopes of getting an update and for anyone who still plays CK2 and wishes to fix it themselves.

Mod has been updated to version 0.9.9 on the dropbox link, hopefully that works - I can't update it on steam. I think I'll call it here, though- I can't imagine I'll be working on this much in the future, if at all. Sorry about that!

All the stuff related to the mod is in the dropbox link, so feel free to work on it yourself - if anyone feels particularly dedicated, I might add them to the "creators" thing, should they ask. Until then, don't expect any new updates. Thankyou all!

The "Mean Time to Happen" for the event to fire is 100 years, which is reduced to 80 for learning greater than 7, then to 68 years for over 11, and 51 for learning over 15. Learning under 5 extends this to 150 years, and under 1 to 200.

Game rules can reduce these by a factor of 0.65, and being a member of the culture will half the time taken. Hence, the shortest "mean time" is about 16 and a half years (for a character of learning 15+, with fast melting-pot game rules, and already being a member of the converted culture.

Hello @red-dead-redeemer, @Kangarus, @yvictor20, and @Perpentach ! Sorry for that very long, unannounced hiatus. After exams have finished in May, I'll see about fixing the Scottish-OR bug, looking into compatability with Ancient Religions: Reborn, and (maybe, don't hold your breath) creating a CK3 alternative!

All this will take place in a single, bulk update, probably around mid-June! I'll also try and add five other cultures, if anyone has any suggestions on which 5 these should be, please comment or place it in the Suggetions discussion above!

As an additional note, I'll be discontinuing the HIP version, simply because fixing all the incongruencies is quite a task.

Just so you know, this mod is incompatible with Ancient Religions: Reborn. Just letting you guys know so someone can make a patch to make both mods compatible with each other. I'd do it myself, but I have virtually no experience with this sort of thing.

@Victor Marcelle I've been trying to update it through steam every now and again, but it doesn't seem to work, so I've updated the manual download. It should be mostly compatible with the EU4 Converter, although it needs some ironing. Should be playable :)

@King Locust II yep! Norsaxon (Norse-Anglosaxon) is considered Norse, so you can form Norse-English (Englen) with Norsaxons in power :)

As for the cultures, I would suggest (with the 1st culture being the one that takes control over the 2nd)

Polish-Pomeranian = Cashubian
Polish-Russian = Ukrainian
Lithuanian-Russian = Belarussian
Hungarian-Russian = Russyn

I suggested this awhile ago but I was curious to see if it was implemented or not: do Norsaxen/Englen portraits have norse faces with english clothes? I think that'd be fantastic.

I can confirm Pedantic_Fusilier's post. This doesn't work anymore following the latest patch. However, rolling back to the last patch lets it work again for anybody who can't live without it for now.

One will these cultures convert to EU4 if you use an EU4 converter, and two, can you speed up the culture change event for the Low Prussian Events? I got one Prussian province to become Low Prussian like 60 years post conquest of the Duchy of Prussia and it's been like 60 years since then. Honestly I'm being overly generous with these timings due to the fact I made my character immortal and he's now like 150 years old.
