Heck me up inside 7 Feb @ 11:36am
cheers Obsdiangolem
this mod is being maintained in Old World Blues Expanded+ guys
Matthew 3 Oct, 2023 @ 8:11pm
For anyone still wondering, the mod does work (I tried it while using a lot of other mods), but the mod needs some updates and I would recommend using this mod with cheats enabled.
Angelblue1032 27 Dec, 2022 @ 7:38pm
Believe me, it is NOT Fun. Maintaining that much content is a doozy, but I enjoy having the option to play stuff all at once.
Dinogaming310 5 Nov, 2022 @ 10:16pm
are you updating the mod?
Mooto24 4 Feb, 2022 @ 3:51pm
Hope this gets updated if mod maker ever gets the time
Aramix 22 Jul, 2021 @ 10:45pm
does it work for the new version of old world blues?
Aquila_21  [author] 8 Apr, 2021 @ 11:06pm
Angelblue maintains a version for that mod on their compilation (with my permission to use this as a base and proper credit given of course). I would consider the Old World Blues Expanded+ to be the best place to grab a 3.X compatible version of this mod currently. There's a couple other forks out there but I believe they're all equally or more out of date than this one. Big props to Angelblue too as I believe they maintain all of the mods in that pack by them selves.
Crimson 8 Apr, 2021 @ 7:25pm
Aaaah, yeah looks like best to call it quits then. Still, been able to play it through Old World Blues+ for whatever reason, so I'm still enjoying.
Aquila_21  [author] 8 Apr, 2021 @ 1:12pm
On the old roadmap the Arroyo update was actually slated for 3.1 but was pushed back to be more fully developed as part of the update to the whole California region. From older talks with a few of the devs I had actually expected it to be out already but I think their design philosophy changed a bit with 3.0 regarding updates. Currently I would expect it to be sometime late 2021 or early 2022 which coincides with me finishing my degree this December.
There's a chance (a small one) that I have time to work on it this summer, in which case I probably would consider it worth it to update still. It depends on what happens regarding some internships I'm up for.
Crimson 8 Apr, 2021 @ 6:09am
Fair point, only question is: how far down the line is the 4.0 update? I was under the impression its years down the line, so its fine to wait for an update on the main mod or this sub mod, especially with college thesis for a masters on the line.
Aquila_21  [author] 6 Apr, 2021 @ 5:53pm
Since the official Arroyo tree is coming in 4.0 I've ceased development.

If I update this mod again it will be to rework the official version. I won't take the current mod down in case people want to play the old version. However 3.0 brought sweeping changes and I won't have time to bring the mod up to date until 4.0 is around the corner (I'm working on my thesis and final year of masters degree right now) at which point I would rather just wait to see what the official team came up with before restarting my own development.

I'm sorry to the people who really like the mod, and as always I'm happy to give advice and let people build off my work with proper credit given.
Crimson 6 Apr, 2021 @ 5:22pm
Yep, looks like the 3.0 update with technology trees doesn't work with it, so you can't do any research with the mod unless you downgrade.
THOTHunter3 13 Jan, 2021 @ 8:52am
you should update to 3.0
ajsbeast 16 Nov, 2020 @ 5:11am
Hey, this mod is really great. I just wanted to note with the new version of OWB Arroyo starts with tribal and civilized tech, but not the actual tech research that makes those tech types researchable. This is easily fixed at the beginning of the game with some quick commands, but would be great to fix.
Rent-A-Boom 27 Sep, 2020 @ 1:38pm
Thank you very much for a great mod.
Bepiss 27 Sep, 2020 @ 2:32am
If you have time, maybe you could nerf the tree a bit, it becomes too easy... Maybe just gain claims for land, instead of getting it all by focus tree. Some bonuses are OP as fuk too :D Glad you still work on this though.
Spaghetti and Sauerkraut 14 Sep, 2020 @ 3:31pm
When i load up the mod arroyo just has generic settler tree.
V3TR01D 25 Aug, 2020 @ 11:36am
Dude this is awesome tysm
Bepiss 21 Aug, 2020 @ 3:14am
Bravo!
Aquila_21  [author] 19 Aug, 2020 @ 3:46pm
If you encounter any errors or bugs put that in the bugs discussion board please.
Aquila_21  [author] 19 Aug, 2020 @ 3:44pm
Alright you've begged and pleaded and I've found the time to at least make the mod compatible with the current version of OWB. There's some obvious graphical errors (I need to make new focus icons for the Timberline instead of Yakama). But it shouldn't break in play.
V3TR01D 18 Aug, 2020 @ 8:30pm
No, still not sure how to fix the mod
Bepiss 18 Aug, 2020 @ 6:28am
is this compatible with current version?
dzawor88 27 Jul, 2020 @ 9:29am
In order for the mod not to fall apart, edit arroyo national focus and change all BPT to DIS, because there is no Bonepickers nation anymore, because it has been replaced by Aspostats or something like that, but after using the above-described procedure, the mod does not crash.
Spaghetti and Sauerkraut 23 Jul, 2020 @ 7:36am
I think the reason it crashes is because the focus that lets you annex the bonepickers is broken, seeing as in the most recent version the bonpickers had their name (and thus country tag) changes
DeadorAlive223 19 Jul, 2020 @ 6:19am
Come in...... Chosen One

PLS FUCKING UPDATE
Barry 18 Jun, 2020 @ 1:08pm
Please update the mod plox
tankdasso 2 Jun, 2020 @ 11:49pm
This mod is absolutely excellent, but it crashes every time I try to pick a new focus after absorbing Klamath. Thank you for making it. I hope it can be updated.
Turtle-Gal 18 Feb, 2020 @ 9:37pm
@pawlix64 The mod needs to be updated for the new version.
pawli 18 Feb, 2020 @ 8:23am
so am I the only who crushes when opening the national focus tree after the klemeth decision?
Turtle-Gal 15 Feb, 2020 @ 12:27pm
OK, thanks! And good luck with your degree!
Aquila_21  [author] 15 Feb, 2020 @ 9:59am
Eventually yes, there's quite a few things to fix to be in line with the last update and I'm fully in swing of my masters degree so finding the time and willpower to work on mods is difficult for the moment.
Turtle-Gal 14 Feb, 2020 @ 4:47pm
Is this going to be updated for the new version?
Aquila_21  [author] 25 Oct, 2019 @ 12:29pm
That's been changed for the next version already freako but thanks for the feedback
freako_66 25 Oct, 2019 @ 10:00am
it would be nice if other nations got a choice when you complete focuses that affect them, even if you make it so the ai chooses to accept 99.9% of the time.
Appelmonkey 19 Oct, 2019 @ 4:19pm
I might have been a bit too hasty in that case. Am looking forward to it!
Aquila_21  [author] 19 Oct, 2019 @ 3:24pm
While I understand your points Max, the tree is balanced so that Arroyo can feasibly become a major player without significantly changing their starting situation. The next update will change the expansion trees so that it is a tad more involved to annex those countries peacefully, and the NCR/BoS paths will be expanded (ultimately those paths will be stronger overall though not weaker).
Appelmonkey 19 Oct, 2019 @ 1:33pm
While I love the concept I think the expantion trees are a bit too OP. You just annex the terretories without them having any say in it. It would be better if the nations could reject being annexed, which could then lead to war.

I also think the diplomacy tree is too OP as well. You choose BoS or NCR diplomacy and you get immediatly very strong perks, I think it would work better if the BoS and NCR trees had some extra focuses to flash it out and nerf it a bit.
Cat Burglar 13 Oct, 2019 @ 11:46am
YAY! Update soon.
Aquila_21  [author] 10 Sep, 2019 @ 9:47pm
The mod is now a part of the SASZCaS Mod Compilation! you can subscribe to that here https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1853206926 for a version compatible with many other great OWB submods.
Aquila_21  [author] 7 Sep, 2019 @ 9:20am
Yes the mod currently is in the process of being updated, 2.0 came with some pretty big changes to base level things.
X Æ A-12 6 Sep, 2019 @ 10:09pm
Well...
Now that Tlaloc's demise is out... I think you need to rework some of the focuses, especially those regarding spec ops and doctrine research bonuses.
Jakerussel1276 8 Aug, 2019 @ 3:00pm
Ahh ok, im playing it right now and i gotta say i love it alot
Aquila_21  [author] 8 Aug, 2019 @ 2:48pm
@TheToxicFeeder yeah I might take a look at that for the next update but I didn't want to mess with the BOS tree too much since it's a bit outside of the scope of the mod. I've thought about doing a whole revamp of the Northwest since it seems like the OWB devs aren't going to be getting back to that area for some time but I'm going to at least wait until the next big OWB update to start that.

@Jakerussel1276 His mod is based off of an earlier version of mine which is why it's called Arroyo 2.0. I let him use it as I had stopped updating for several months due to being busy irl. This one is the most up to date and according to Colonel's gracious endorsement and compliments on the OWB discord, the better of the two.
Jakerussel1276 8 Aug, 2019 @ 1:51pm
I just noticed this mod and The Colonel's Arroyo focus mod are very similar
X Æ A-12 8 Aug, 2019 @ 2:32am
Ah I see. I was playing as New Vegas and it was a bit of a shock when the Brotherhood declared war on our NCR alliance. Arroyo betrayed us so suddenly and so brutally that I just had to comment on the event. We lost our most powerful northern ally all because of the BoS
Aquila_21  [author] 7 Aug, 2019 @ 11:30pm
The Brotherhood's focuses are edited so that a player Arroyo won't get attacked (since it's not winnable if they attack soon enough and that's not fun) or become a puppet unwillingly (you should get an event popup if they take the focus). If that did happen it's a bug or Arroyo was being controlled by the ai.
X Æ A-12 7 Aug, 2019 @ 9:36pm
Hmmm...
If the Brotherhood completes that national focus which turns Arroyo into a puppet after Arroyo joins the NCR, Arroyo would leave the alliance. Is there a way for you to prevent that from happening? We just lost a very powerful ally that would help us greatly in the northern campaign
Heck me up inside 24 Jul, 2019 @ 11:15am
Thank you so much. I don't really know what to say, but this mod has been updated and improved so much, and I just want to thank you so much for your effort. This mod went from something people thought was dead, to one of the best add-ons for OWB. Thank you! :steamhappy:
