So far i had no problems in 1.4
MurderfaceMurderfaceMurderface 8 Nov, 2022 @ 1:32pm
Does this work in 1.4?
Mads 17 Feb, 2021 @ 1:51pm
I use it in 1.2 and I have not had any issues with it so far, in case you havent tested it yourself @ShadowVVolf
ShadowVVolf 17 Feb, 2021 @ 11:45am
Any 1.2 update planned?

@ScrapyardBob it probably is, i wouldn't know since i don't play the game much but that indeed seems a bit high. I'll probably reduce the amount of fat needed to refuel rather than the candle lifetime tho
MosaPudica 1 Jun, 2020 @ 7:52am
The 20 meat per 9 days for a candle seems a bit high. It competes with the use of meat for food. Maybe 15-16 days would be better.

Very nice little mod, I just happen to spot it when I was somewhat annoyed that all i ever wanted from a much bigger mod was the candle that could be put on tables, so this was just the right mod for me to find.
So great mod, like it a lot!
APurpleApple  [author] 6 Apr, 2020 @ 4:44am
heeh... Don't really have a clue, you sure it's the right fat ? Maybe one of your mods add some too ? Or some overriding issue... can't really investigate rn tho :/

So I have a ton of Medieval mods installed and for some reason I can't seam to build your candles. Their the first candles I can make without research. It claims I don't have any animal fat but I've got plenty. Don't want to sound like an idiot but what am I missing? Also thank you for making the mod.

@Wilhelm95 - wow, thank you!!

Done :p

Any chance of a 1.1 update? Started playing Tribals and being able to see in my cave would be nice :)

Auzzie 17 Jul, 2018 @ 1:47am
i plus the comment below me, i feel it would make the world of the rims more pleasant smelling
Lunatic 5 Jun, 2018 @ 8:21am
Please add scented candles.
keylocke 2 Jun, 2018 @ 5:45am
can you create a candle attached to the wall? (similar to walled lights mod)
APurpleApple  [author] 25 Apr, 2018 @ 3:05am
huuh...it was, but it would have been like 50 time harder to code, and i'm not really in love with dlls
ArmoredStone 21 Apr, 2018 @ 8:53am
So getting fat whilst butchering an animal wasn't possible?
Lugaru 17 Apr, 2018 @ 3:19pm
If it works that would be a happy accident, similar to Soy candles.
APurpleApple  [author] 15 Apr, 2018 @ 5:26am
huuuuuh Didn't tried it, but as long as it is in the "meat" tab, it should work
svdfold 15 Apr, 2018 @ 5:04am
Hello, is this compatible with mods using rich-protein vegetables (like VGP) as meat? (It's gonna be weird to refuel candles with mushrooms or red lentil).

Yeah I certainly know it's gonna work anyway
Deyon 13 Apr, 2018 @ 1:59pm
that is really cool, and a very neat concept of using animal fat for lights :)
APurpleApple  [author] 13 Apr, 2018 @ 1:11pm
Huh, you need 20 meat of any sort (except human and insect one) to make 10 animal fat, and a candle need 10 fat and 3 steel to make. They last for about 9 days and need 10 animal fat for refuelling. I'll write these in the desc in case someone else is wondering about all these things lol
Deyon 13 Apr, 2018 @ 12:43pm
it is called insect meat tbh, but i was do i use animal corpse to make animal fat or do i need meat? and for how long do they last? can i refuel them?
APurpleApple  [author] 13 Apr, 2018 @ 12:41pm
well, they are giving megapsider meat too you know :p
Deyon 13 Apr, 2018 @ 10:47am
and what about the megascarab and the spelopede? ;)
APurpleApple  [author] 13 Apr, 2018 @ 9:45am
Megaspider* xD
APurpleApple  [author] 13 Apr, 2018 @ 9:43am
Yup, that should work since animal fat is made out of any meat excepted human and magasiner ones
Deyon 13 Apr, 2018 @ 9:07am
thats very cool, can i also make animal fat from any animal? including modded animals?
APurpleApple  [author] 13 Apr, 2018 @ 8:46am
They should be in the "furnitures" category, and they are made out of animal fat (which you can make at the butchery table) ^^
Deyon 13 Apr, 2018 @ 7:14am
how do you build them? also the textures look great!
