Add to that the fact that keeping a constant stream of rockets on the helicopter means pushing it back, adding travel time to each rocket and obscuring the chopper behind the treeline, and the constant ducking behind cover to avoid being shot, all adding onto that total, the amount of time it takes to fight the helicopters amounts to about
Too
Damn
Long.
It's not hard, it's tedious. Extremely Tedious. And I don't buy TFA weapons as an excuse. Any coop map worth its salt should be able to stand on base game weaponry alone.
Nerf the helicopters. This is a great map otherwise, but the helicopters make me want to pack up my bags and take my gun lust fueled npc slaughtering spree elsewhere.
A funny thing happened, actually, i got a grenade launcher to powerhouse my way through the unfair spawncamping combines and my friend got a sniper. as i marched forward and tossed a few nades, my friend accidentally sniped me, my ragdoll flew RIGHT into my JUST-FIRED grenade and i blew up and ended stuck between the map wall and skybox
We laughed so hard, you have no idea.
Thank you so much for this amazing experience, i forgot pvp on and we accidentally kept killing ourselves while attempt to quickly dispatch the enemies, we loved the fact that is hard to HIDE in that map, they ACTIVELY search for you, i have no idea what you did with the A.I. pathing but i LOVE it.
We laughed and had a lot of fun we didn't have in years. Thank you so much, this map reminded me of the old days where Source engine mods were relevant.

that will show what's using resources. it won't tell you what addon is, but if "GLua" is maxed, that means its an add-on.
add this to your launch options for improved performance with no drawbacks

I disabled a bunch of weapons stuff, quite a lot of CW 2.0 stuff (was told that they would crash the game since the halloween update) and some npc related garb.
I did try a fresh install, minus some files that are needed for specific addons but the issue persisted before I used explosives.
you could disable every addon (this will not unsubscribe you), restart, and test my map again.
if it works fine, it's one of your addons
Some sorta bug I need to work out.
My map runs fine on properly configured games
had alot of fun and will play it again.
For Workshop name "Gm_fork" get free hl2:ep2
I'll see what I can do, though. Thanks for the quick reply and have a nice day.
The second portion seems a little lackluster however. It starts out okay, but the moment the flying enemies show up it just... changes. I'm not sure how it changes, but it does. I geuss it's because it takes 15... 20 rockets to kill them? I lost count, but I do know it was way to many.
Yeah, shooting ~20 rockets out of the sluggish HL2 RPG at flying things isn't fun at all.
Outside of that, this is one of the best maps I've played on in a long while.
nothing is required, but HL2:EP2 is needed to fix two missing textures and two error ammo crates at spawn. EP2 isn't required though.
