Report a translation problem
also 4 sockets are totally ok
great job
But some still weren't visible. Fixed this with 2 gems on those.
This bug is pretty annoying ...
Apparently, in the thread, people are saying you can't put more than 2 gems. Although it appears 3 was working last night when i tried with a friend. But i didnt reload my game with him after that so i'll make some more tests tonight and let you know.
Anyway it's still a great mod combined with synergies' hardcore dungeons and it's been really helpful :) Thanks for your work.
I just hope Runic would do something about it ..
I'll keep the mod as-is for the moment, since the socketing is working fine in singleplayer-mode. But I will put a warning in the description for people who want to use it for multiplayer.
i dont know if this problem has been discussed but it seems that having 5 gems on any items creates issues while multiplayering : my mates dont see my stuff anymore once i socketed them fully, and worse, the server neither. As a results, it's like im fighting naked with no armor and taking maximum damage from any mob.
It's fine on solo gaming but totally unplayable in multiplayer way.
Anyone feeling the same way ?
I don't know if Synergies overwrites the maproom-layout as well. If it does, it might conflict and you'd have to consider the loading-order when using this mod.
@Cross
This mod doesn't change your gear or character in any "new" way, it should be perfectly safe to activate and deactivate it whenever you need/don't need the socket enchanter without compromising savegames. I tested it myself and haven't yet heard of people having any difficulties in this regard.
First I heard of it. I just enchanted an item so that it had five sockets. Then I added five gems to it, went to the gem-destroyer and got the item without the gems as expected. Tried the same with only two gems, worked as well. Filled it with five gems again, went to the gem-recoverer and got the five gems back as expected. So I couldn't reproduce this problem at my end, need (much) more info.
Thanks.
You can access the maproom after you have completed the game the first time (around level 50)
Thanks in advance/
actually its working perfectly though it walks off the map after you're done talknig to him
really good work with the mod :D thanks a bunch!
Fix what? I'm afraid you'll have to be more precise since you're the first one mentioning any problems with it. What's not working for you and in combination with which other mods?
thanks for a great mod. :)
I honestly couldn't tell, because I never tried it. I can't imagine why, unless items with more than two or three sockets are considered "modded items". I don't think that's the case, though, because this mod doesn't do anything which wasn't in the game to begin with. It's no new type of item or stat or anything, just the continuation of what the normal socket-enchanter does, only that i made a new character which offers those services at a pinned location and with up to five sockets instead of two. Maybe I'll copy my savegame back to the normal version and try it out, but not today, sorry.
5 is great. Thanks.
Okay, I added the ability to add a fifth socket, won't come cheap though. ;)
But that seems to be the "reasonable" upper limit iirc. I could add more, if I went directly into the dat-file and added the higher levels manually, but the game is only able to display five sockets.
Plus: Socketing is a nice way of customizing and balancing the character. And having 6 sockets per item instead of 3-5 doesn't really increase your options in terms of HOW you want your character to improve, just by HOW MUCH, because you'll choose only a limited number of gem-types which make sense for the class. And for that, we could use more powerful (modded) gems, which offer the desired stat-increase or effect. Better than to cram six gems or more into every item, because that's tedious rather than fun.
