Doesn't this make the Outlander OP? it certainly doesn't look balanced.

@SomeCanadianFreak
Google image search, actually.
Drunk Wizard 9.11.2014 klo 22.28
Where did you get those guns, are they from synergies?
Korgran  [tekijä] 1.10.2014 klo 17.30
@Sorry Charlie
It is stone_pactv1.mod, since this mod started with me wanting to improve that skill.
Soory Charlie 1.10.2014 klo 9.51
I'm trying to merge this into a personal mod pack, but I can't find it in the mod manager or with guts. Is it the "stone_pactv1.mod" or am I missing it entirely?
zelurker 24.8.2014 klo 13.50
@Korgan: well that's how you learn to make backups... the hard way !
Anyway, it happened to me a long time ago, I lost some important sources, but they were important enough for me to decide to redo them from scratch, and maybe you'll be happy to know that you go much faster to redo it the 2nd time because you remember the trciks you used the 1st time !
My 2c in case you decide to continue this !
Korgran  [tekijä] 13.8.2014 klo 11.31
@Garibaldi
You can only have one at a time, don't worry.

Unfortunately I lost the original mod folder when I had to format my hard drive a few months ago and I can no longer make any changes to the mods that I have already published. If I make any more changes I would need to publish them as a seperate mod.
Canisia 13.8.2014 klo 9.15
I'd like to note that the Brute's duration is increased by Shadow Ritual... but it was freaking short by default (seriously, I calculated you'd have to near-max Ritual in order to get close to the cooldown time). As it stands, I haven't gotten far enough to actually use it, but is there a limit on how many you can have out? If you can spam it, that's a bit of a problem.

Also, Bane Breath is freaking useless at the moment. Any chance you'll improve that somehow?
Korgran  [tekijä] 4.8.2014 klo 23.50
@Bayani
I'm not aware of any conflict with Synergies. I run both just fine. If you want to be sure one of my changes isn't accidentally overwritten just put mine on top and you'll be good.
derpymoogle 4.8.2014 klo 20.26
I know you don't work on this mod anymore, but I have a quick question: do you know if this will conflict with Synergies? As far as I know, Synergies doesn't change anything with Outlanders, but I could be wrong.

cool

For some reason I always end up trying to play melee with this class, i really like the skills just with i could find a mod that lets melee play become more viable......
{R} BoNES 2.6.2014 klo 22.04
very intriguing, I play the outlander because it is the least orthodox RPG class ... now I see why it was so hard to play -- deficiencies
Level 1 Goblin 1.3.2014 klo 0.00
I always just shotgonnes. it works.
fishy1178 12.1.2014 klo 12.53
Personally I love the Outlander class. It makes the game a bit more challenging, but perhaps I should try this mod out. It looks interesting.
Korgran  [tekijä] 14.9.2013 klo 5.24
I agree with you in that regardless of the proc chance, Rapid Fire would proc it almost immediately. And reducing the blind magnitude any further would be pointless, you would need an almost impossible amount of +range to make it usable below 20%. I'm going to leave it as it was for now. I am unsure if I can modify the blind effect itself, or give bosses an immunity, but I'll look around.
Boxcutter 14.9.2013 klo 3.26
I've yet to max this combo out, but so far it seemed like a fairly reasonable crowd control tool, what's with the lack of defensive abilities and all. The problem is bosses, not fodder enemies. I also have no idea how would this nerf affect Chaos Burst and Shadowshot, since they don't have powerful knockback. I appreciate the immediacy, but this might be a kick in the balls for your current subscribers.
Boxcutter 14.9.2013 klo 3.26
Tricky indeed. I think the way it works is by decreasing aggro range, so 2 instances of 67% blind leaves an enemy completely unaware of what's around him. With both shotgonnes and rapid fire having fairly short range a percentage this low is whimsical at best, until at least mid game. Before lvl 40 and RF range upgrade you get whopping 19% debuff 18% of the time. Seems like the only use you'd get from that is by disabling enemies that can take a continous barrage of rapid fire without dying or flying accross the map from all that knockback, i.e. champions and bosses. And a bit of accidental crowd control.
And I don't think this would address the boss concern later. You probably could completely shutdown bosses with that chance, pet being on passive and the range boost.
character limit
Korgran  [tekijä] 13.9.2013 klo 21.39
Ok, the blind change is in. I would love some feedback on it. I am unsure if I over nerfed it into uselessness or not. That's the tricky part about blind, it's either awesome and nothing is attacking you or it's not enough. I may end up changing it to an armor reduction or something, let me know.
Korgran  [tekijä] 13.9.2013 klo 20.50
@Boxcutter I'll take a look at it. I'm not sure I have the knowledge to change blind itself, but I can reduce the proc chance or replace it with something else.
Boxcutter 13.9.2013 klo 17.18
@Ellene
That one is in total conversion territory, I've yet to finish vanilla. I couldn't find a mod that would fix outright broken things while preserving the core gameplay, like Complete mods for Stalker. At any rate, I believe this must be addressed, should you take on the task of improving outlander. I love shotguns more than any other weapon, I find rapid fire to be the most satysfying early DPS/utility skill (and some forum posts I found suggest it's quite effective), and I thoroughly enjoyed bosses when playing other characters, but this one little mechanic severely spoils the fun and pacing of the game.
Korgran  [tekijä] 13.9.2013 klo 15.36
@Boxcutter
While not exactly what you're looking for, Synergies mod nerfs blindness so that it isn't god mode. I'm unaware of any mod that only changes the blind itself though.
Boxcutter 13.9.2013 klo 14.49
This is one of the few results I got by searching "blind", and none of them were what I wished for. The blindness effect you can get with shotgonne mastery and rapid fire/venomous hail is utterly ridiculous, it renders champions and especially bosses absolutely helpless. I wish there was a mod that would make tougher enemies immune to blindness, or remove shotgonne mastery blind procing via fast RoF attacks.
recreance_please 22.8.2013 klo 21.01
I really dig this mod. Props!
Xotano 3.8.2013 klo 12.39
really? cus i played an outlander when i played and i think i went pretty far out of the way of normal play as i was more mele then ranged tho i did have ranged stuff on my secondary at all times, it was fun and i kicked ass.
Korgran  [tekijä] 27.7.2013 klo 0.12
@Dale Gribble
I think he was referring to an ability that can shatter shields outright, not break them normally via damage. In this case, Venomous Hail was the only ability in the Outlander skill set that could do this and it was at the bottom of the tree and only shattered shields at 15/15. It was a major investment, especially if you won't use the ability except to shatter shields.
WhiteQuilt 25.7.2013 klo 6.22
To correct nemrym down below, Outlanders can break shields, and class can.I dont know what is wrong with your outlander if thats not the case.
Korgran  [tekijä] 30.6.2013 klo 3.17
I concede the point on the duration of the stone pact buffs. The spirit of the ability is to be affected while in the area. I have updated the mod and changed the durations of the armor and damage resist buffs to 3 seconds.
SteelCrow 24.6.2013 klo 3.45
These changes all look good to me, except for stone and blade pact durations. Durations are way too long; the point is to be affected while in the target area.
Shadowmantle is fine in this regard, it being self-targetted.
BotZero 18.6.2013 klo 12.19
im new to the game but i started as an outlander and i find that rapid fire destroys all normal enemies utterly and hurts elite units even bosses but bosses perform aoes you must evade so I usually run and throw glaives chipping away at its health while using cursed blades to lower damage recieved by it or surrounding enemies that may hit me and my pet does most of the damage to the boss other than lulls in which i do try and use rapid fire. I am only lv 25 I use 2 pistols and focus on Lore and Warfare and I think its fun and will probably only get better with more lvs. What I dont like is the passives are so good but passives are boring and I have such a hard time giving up a skill point to a spell I already have vs learning something new vs passive.
Æl 19.4.2013 klo 12.12
Nice additions1 If i werent doing my current build I would have subscribed, and I still might to try a more tactical oriented outlander instead of this behemoth I've made. I've now an incredibly OP outlander with 400% poison damage, 15/15 venom hail and glaive, and a fairly high Fiery glaive. My battles usually start with laying down stone pact, repulsion hex, A few fiery glaives, and either venom hail or Glaive throw depending on the mob grouping and the strength of the mobs. Once I add in the fiery glaive it boosts my 10K damage from venom hail (I'm half dex, half focus with extremely powered, slow shotgonnes for venom hail) or glaive to anywhere from 15-20K, and I believe the max I've ever hit is 36.7K crit on a boss. :D

And for venom hail, that damage is x12 for all the various waves. >:}
But you know what they say... if the protagonist of your latest RPG comes after you, how screwed are you? O_o
Korgran  [tekijä] 18.4.2013 klo 13.52
Updated to add several ways to shatter shields. I tried to give a shield break effect to a good variety of skills to distribute it among various builds. See update notes and description for details.
Korgran  [tekijä] 18.4.2013 klo 12.58
15/15 Venomous Hail shatters shields, although not all builds use it. I'll look into it.
nemryn 18.4.2013 klo 10.10
One big hole I've noticed is the Outlander has no way to break shields. Any plans for that?
Mike Thighson 16.4.2013 klo 13.53
I played outlander and loved it. To me it was a little over powered because of how I played and my build. I mainly used glaive throw for groups and rapid fire for champions/bosses after throwing on stone pact and hitting a mana potion to keep rapid fire going for a long time. Then got I forget what its called but it's when you shoot up and a rain of poison bullets rain where you target(it's one of the last skills you can get) but that and my normal attack which I boosted my dex like crazy to the point that I had a standard 20-25% crit chance in the 3rd area and with charge bar and share the wealth with full charge got nearly 70% crit chance in the second to last dungeon and I would always use blood ember in weapons if it stole hp
Æl 14.4.2013 klo 9.18
Cool mod! Frankly, I won't be using it however- My Outlander is kitted with roughly 400% poison damage, and with a quick flaming glaive and venom hail all my problems magically dissolve. :P
Korgran  [tekijä] 13.4.2013 klo 11.55
@flig
True, but a skills usefulness should not be entirely dependent on maxing a different skill. Every skill should be useful on its own, and further enhanced by synergistic skills. Death Ritual still further increases the new Brutes duration, but it is now useful without it.
Diet Denier 13.4.2013 klo 11.48
i love original outlanders personally. But this mod... holy crap dude this is cool as hell!
flig 13.4.2013 klo 10.46
you can actually up the duration of shadowling brute with death ritual, so you can have him up for 32.5 sec if you max it out.
Dоидld Тяцмр 13.4.2013 klo 8.37
In my opinion I really didn't think Outlander's even needed this. The main point of an Outlander is to deal a ridiculous amount of damage to dispatch enemies pretty quickly. With their high DPS they really don't need defense because if you actually focus on meeting that DPS then increasing defense has no affect on the way they are played. Again just my opinion but as I can see a lot of other people like this mod. I'm not saying it's a bad mod i'm just saying it's kind of unnecessary for the Outlander I know and love. :/
nuna 13.4.2013 klo 6.57
I love this. Thanks so much.
KeplersConjecture 11.4.2013 klo 13.05
Awesome, buffing Stone Pact makes it even more amazing. Love going silly hp regen builds for the heck of it.
Korgran  [tekijä] 10.4.2013 klo 16.14
Upon investigation, I found a bug with Blade Pact that I couldn't explain or fix. Apparently, even though I set it at 15 seconds, it only lasted 9. The timer started at 15 and counted down, but the debuff faded at 6 seconds remaining. This happened regardless of the duration I applied. A 5 minute duration still expired after 9 seconds.

After about an hour of poking around I still could not determine the reason, so I just made the duration of the debuff 9 seconds. It's still increased by a factor of 3, so the spirit of the change remains. For clarification, this is the actual debuff, not the ground effect. The ground effect remains the same as vanilla and the tier bonuses work fine (and had no bearing on this bug).
Korgran  [tekijä] 10.4.2013 klo 14.45
Yep, that's how I intended it to work. Before, the debuff only lasted 3 seconds, forcing the enemy to basically stand in the area to remain debuffed.
itsYiyas 10.4.2013 klo 13.43
I dunno I tried it out on a character I already had (perhaps the issue) which was ranked to 5 and it only lasted 9s for me, the AoE that is; the debuff lasted 15s.
Korgran  [tekijä] 8.4.2013 klo 13.35
Fair enough, but I think you misunderstand the Blade Pact change. The duration of the ground effect is not changed, and increases with tier bonuses. It's the duration of the actual debuff that is 15 seconds. I just tested that and it is 15 seconds at any point investment.
itsYiyas 8.4.2013 klo 13.19
Blade pact reduces it's duration to 9 after tier 1, dont like how Stone Pact has a shield however so won't be using this despite the good shadowmantle and brute changes.
