Thanks for the mod-- multiple playthroughs where I will use/not use depending on what I'm aiming for in said playthrough! I appreciate it ^^
Suppose it doesn't help that I don't play Kenshi to progress a story, I play for personal progression, so if I recruit a duplicate, or need to kill someone again, it won't bother me in the slightest, it's just another goal on my list, that I can tackle in a new way.
Truth be told, you're the first person I've met who dislikes Importing which is fair.
Not everyone can afford to re-capture Tinfist or plays the way I or my friends do, so i disregard that a lot - Easy to forget not everyone plays the game with something akin to a Catan Printer, ha, Blacksmithing Sweatshops + 6x EXP go Brr.
I don't see Importing as an issue, it's kind of a necessity if you're modding an existing save, because it avoids potential issues and refreshes your world data, updates loot and spawn tables, etc, otherwise modded items can take a good while to show up, granted it may respawn Unique NPC's, but I think that's really the only issue, early builds it would move shops around in a town.
Unfortunately due to how the FCS works, I had to alter the base mod to create a dependency, and removing the AI Cores isn't enough, so the AI Core Assembler will require 15 Steel Bars instead of 10 to Construct.
Craft Only Patch
Make sure it's loaded after this mod.
Mostly the price is just so stupidly high in such mods I'd rather break immersion and just Import the save and reset the spawns.
It is a small ask but any chance of having the crafting part of it as its own little mod?
Doing a Roman inspired run right now and I was already Tech 6 before I looked into this and the RIY mod. Just makes sense to me that at that level a Roman like faction would be making their own tech.
The two mods compliment each other nicely, but would love to have a "Craft Only" version of this one.
Some people might find it well balanced, some find it unfair, while others call it cheating, but it won't take much for someone to modify or patch it for personal use though.
Learning the FCS has major benefits and I have a good handful of personal mods and edits to handcraft and tweak my experience.
-Added Crafting functionality to bypass compatibility issues. See Compatibility Section for details.
-Increased Value to 50,000c
So there is no option to change this with some sort of compatibility patch? I now have either craft them or find them when this is even possible?
The only guess I can make regarding UWE is that it may be re-categorizing the AI Core under something else so my Mod can't find it, or, it might be that Shops have too much stuff in them and there's no room for the Core, I theorize that about the Tech Traders, AI Cores are in their inventory, but they do not show up, but, I don't know.
My final suggestion is attempting to bump my mod higher in the load order, import and try it, but, don't hold your breath.
Sorry, I do hope my other Mods are proving helpful at least.
I'm not sure why UWE kills this mod but has no affect on Purchaseable Engineering Resource, but I was able to single it out as the culprit.
I don't suppose there is any chance of a patch? I would love to be able to use this wonderful mod, but stripping out UWE causes more issues than it fixes.
If not, you may want to add UWE to your Compatibility Issues list.
If you have other mods that affect the traders, disable them and try again, start a new game and have a look as well, I'm not too sure what could be causing your problem other than a conflict or the game being dumb.
Can also try installing it, importing and waiting a few in-game days too, I'm honestly not sure.
Just to double-check: is there a percent chance of the cores showing up? And should the UC Construction Trader in Heft sell them?
I didn't import the first time I tried using it, but I've tried uninstalling it and running the game for a few in-game days without it, then re-subscribing to the mod and importing my game.
额外的商店改装可能会导致冲突。
now i just need a mod that increases science books in shops without effecting AI Cores
Something to consider:
Is the mod loaded?
Do you have any mods that may possibly conflict?
Try going to a Construction trader in either Stoat or Heft, there's usually one at those cities if you can make it, in my game I have one in Stoat and it worked fine, cores galore.
If you went to a Holy Nation controlled Waystation, chances are they won't sell them because AI Cores are forbidden in Holy Nation territories.
