Haha, but yeah, taking ShorelineAndCove, and expanding it even further (with the lighthouse location, as you said) sounds like a great idea. As long as it runs great, looks great and has a good layout - nothing can go wrong.
I just really want to see this map turn into something amazing, and one day - see it in the official maps list, as a successor of ZED Landing. -- ZED Island?.. Get it? Dead Island? ZED Island? Noice!
Maybe a seperate map with completely new arenas in the same style and on the same island?
Not 100% sure yet.
@Comrade Canine: I'll have a look on how to implement "Stand your Ground" and if it fits the playstyle of the arenas. Can't promise anything though.
Shoreline+cove+lighthouse? :O
Teleportation should only happen if you are in the wrong arena or the tunnel at the start of a new wave. Shoreline always is active on odd waves while Cove is always active on even waves. Teleporting players makes sure nobody loses out on the action.
The ramp gives me some headaches, but the new version from today should work a lot better. I had a few matches on Suicidal without any Zeds bumping around or getting stuck. That said I will try to further optimize the playing experience here.
It's very nice that you have taken the Shoreline and expanded on it! Some quite spectacular visuals in the cove area, with all those godrays and waterfall :)
Tell you what, you should keep on expanding this map! Make it even bigger, better and more fun than it already is! Re-release it as a separate thing, or update the current one - no matter.
Who knows, if you'll manage to make this creation big and amazing enough to rack up tons of attention - maybe developers will notice it and add it into the game!
Some little issues with the ramp in the cove, and the game locks me out of the cove and teleports me back to the shore on some waves (maybe it's intentional), but nothing gamebreaking!
