Feel free to upload your own version of this mod that includes the Russian translation and mention and link this page to make it an official extension.

If you go into the mod folder in the C drive under Documents>Paradox Interactive>Stellaris>mod, you can find a series of files that end in .mod. These files can be opened in notepad, and read to find the file path for the actual mod data itself. This will be in one of the .mod files, but they aren't named after their mods, so you'll just have to open each one and see if it says "Frame Shift Drive and Supercruise" at the top.

There might be some minor compatibility issues with the game, simply because it's been undeveloped for a long time, but it's a tech that adds an FTL drive and a thruster, none of which have been massively changed in the newest updates, so it might be fine.

I'd love the Thargoids stuff and the other Lite Dangerous content! You can download the mod by subscribing, and find it in a certain folder that I can help you find, I'm not really developing the mod anymore so I'm happy for other people to adopt it.

I made a translation of the mod into Russian, can it be added into the mod? And can I on the basis of this mod create a mod that adds Thargoids, Guardians, etc?

Thanks!

Thank you for the work done, you're done! :)
I wish you success in subsequent work!

As of the next update for Stellaris, I will be discontinuing my upkeep of these mods, as they've become more a chore than a passion project for me now, and it's getting more and more inconvenient to try and keep them up to date for me. Thanks for using it while it's been developed though, I hope you enjoyed it, and if you want to continue the mod yourself, you can subscribe to it, download the mod and continue its development yourself.

oh ... okay. thanks anyway :)

The ships are meant to continue using Hyperlanes, sorry for the confusion, I suppose I didn't make it entirely clear they didn't use the old warp system. I think there is a mod for that though. Thanks for the comment though.

Please check to see if this mod still works by using this command in the console command window (openable by pressing the button to the left of 1):

effect give_technology = {tech = tech_frame_shift_drive }

When I try to use the steam version of the mod, the mod doesn't load, so I'm wondering if it's an issue on my end, or if it doesn't work at all. Thanks to whoever does this check for me.

hmmmm ... I tried to use this command now and put the right engine, however, unfortunately the ships continue to use hiperlanes

very odd, I have the same experience with my developer versions of the mod as well, which I've checked are the same as the steam version. Makes me think this is a descriptor error or something unique to steam's system and the way it files new mods. Not really sure how to investigate it though, so for now I'll just say, copy it and run it as a local mod if it doesn't work.

I copied the mod and installed it as a local mod and it worked. The Steam version still doesn't though.

This mod works fine.
Tepacana  [author] 25 Nov, 2019 @ 12:20am
It should be irrelevant whether or not you've unlocked the previous drive, so the components don't work in the steam version it'd seem. I'll investigate and let you know.
beserqer 24 Nov, 2019 @ 7:05pm
Or perhaps I'm wrong and it hasn't shown up in "Ship Design' as a component because I don't have the original Jump Drive yet.
beserqer 24 Nov, 2019 @ 7:03pm
Using the console command you gave gives you the techs but they don't show up as components in the 'Ship Design' menu.

I think the problem is that they aren't actually classified as a 'Jump Drive' or "Thrusters' in components. They Frame-Shift Drive for instance is lacking the pink letter 'C' in a hexagon that I have seen for other jump drives or hyperdrive components that denote it as a drive.

Still working great.

Thanks!

This is nice mod and works well

I've tried to make the new technology icons not transparent but there doing something wierd where they (after replacing the icons with the non-transparent versions) still use the old pictures. It's really odd and I can't figure out why it's doing that. So, for now at least, the technology icons are transparent which makes them look pretty wierd.
Tepacana  [author] 4 Jun, 2018 @ 8:42am
Hooray! The technologies can be researched normally. I must not have gotten far enough in my test game!
Tepacana  [author] 4 Jun, 2018 @ 3:07am
(I'll add this to the description later, but to answer your question...)

The Frame-shift Drive is a physics tech that requires hyperspace level 3. Bear in mind that I think the techs may not be appearing, but I've put this on the forums, so I should get some help with this soon.

The Frame-Shift Drive is then a module you can use in your ship designs in place of another FTL drive.

The Supercruise thrusters require you to research Impulse thrusters and Frame-shift Drives before you can research them. Then, you can use them in your ship design in the thruster section.

Also, your English was perfect.

If you want these technologies even while the game doesn't allow you to research them normally, you can use a command after pressing the button above tab and below the escape key to the left of 1 key. (I don't know what that key is called). Then type this command:

effect give_technology = { tech = tech_frame_shift_drive }

and

effect give_technology = { tech = tech_supercruise }

well, the idea is excellent. I myself am a fan of the elite dangerous, in large part due to the freedom of movement it provides.
Dinaghar 3 Jun, 2018 @ 12:50pm
author, please describe in more detail how your mod works, how to get the required technologies and how to activate them?
I apologize for the inaccuracy of the translation, translated by Google.
Tepacana  [author] 3 Jun, 2018 @ 7:26am
If anyone has researched anything from this mod in-game through conventional means, please let me know. I've tested that in a game I made but I wasn't able to get the game to give me the ability to research anything from this mod.
Tepacana  [author] 27 May, 2018 @ 3:41am
If anyone can provide any information on how to make the tech look good, as in get rid of the raw code in the tech and give it an icon, please let me know. (I'm self taught and I haven't found a guide online for this).
