I guess you can take it as a suggestion that the leaders have broken their own chains by escaping from the Portuguese. I'm not too worried about the semantics as long as it sounds cool!
Zumbi ruled only the Quilombo of Palmares, but there were many other Quilombos, and they even fought each other some times, and enslaved each other. THey also practiced slavery against the Natives in the region, as well as against Portuguese POWs.
Other than that, the mod looks perfect from a historical point of view. But I'd the 50% chance of unit conversion in a Mocambo is a bit OP :P
@leonardoparramelati It's been really interesting to read about. Capoeira is so well-known, yet the history of the quilombos and slave revolts in general are seemingly so obscure. I'm glad to be able to contribute a South American civ, too.
@taylor Definitely! I looked at it a little before release, but I need to run a few games actually using it before I get a good feel for how it should be. I'll be adding support for Cultural Diversity pretty soon.
