TL;DR: Thanks for bringing this to my attention. The issue is now fixed.
HOLY F*CK was I certain I was f*cked beyond belief right there. So basically there was an extremely simple fix which I didn't realize existed before playing around in the un-binarized mission file, which naturally lead to endless errors. Although I reverted the changes made, the mission didn't want to read properly, so I had to download and edit the "steam workshop version" instead of the default local version (which at this point was basically corrupted). Add to this the downloading of 3 different .exe's so that I could properly extract and move the "workshop version" and edit it in the editor and you're set for the evening. Thankfully I managed to get it working and nothing was lost. I need a drink right about now.
Would you care to elaborate? I'd love to hear what you disliked so I can improve on missions to come. Thanks for the feedback nonetheless.
Mad respect my man! It was a pleasure to see you guys perfect a run of this mission.
FYI I'm not going to try to patch out "exploits"/flaws like the ones you used. Shit like this is amazingly entertaining to witness. Thanks and have a good one :D
Hey, sorry for the late response. Anyway, this mission worked fine for me both in SP and MP. I got just one error message, but it was about PAK optics, and didn't have any effect on playability (will still try to fix it).
Have you made sure you're running all the required mods and that they're up to date? If so, try running only the required mods. If the problem still stands I have no idea how to fix it.
Sorry for the lack of any hard fix :/
Huh, that's interesting. I'll see what I can do tomorrow (as it's late af atm :D). Most likely an overhaul to IFA3 recoil system, which clashes with the old one used in that mission. May be everything from an easy fix to near impossible. I'll update you on the matter in this thread whenever I get the fix (or don't), but an update on the playability of the mission nonetheless. Thanks for the heads up!
When trying to boot up, I get this message:
"You cannot play/edit this mission; it is dependent on downloadable content that has been deleted.IFA3_Recoil"
Do you know what to do? I have no clue how to fix this. Thanks!
I have made a few WW2 missions, which can be found here . I also have a few WW2 missions WIP, but we'll see when I can publish them. It will most likely take some time.
You're welcome! If you think you'll enjoy my other missions, feel free to check them out
Ah, so good to hear you like it. I have some scenarios that are still WIP, but will most likely be finished at some point. If you have any requests for scenarios (like faction, style of mission, objective, theatre, etc), feel free to let me know.
