@exterminator_15: You can make a copy of a mod, by making a new folder under the "mods" folder, with whatever name you want, and copy the files in there, in the same structure. It's really easy. I've made the modification for you: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1753832009
Exter 27 May, 2019 @ 2:22pm
@Vermilicious How do I do that?
Vermilicious  [author] 27 May, 2019 @ 7:49am
@exterminator_15 The texture used is the default. I assume you mean you don't want the texture clipped off at the grid lines? That's easy to do. Just copy the mod, and remove "FarmLand.png" from the "blends" folder. If you can't get it to work, I could make an alternative version. If you're curious, those files are image files that represent the level of transparency where the textures overlap, to make them seem to blend together.
Exter 26 May, 2019 @ 8:31pm
Is there any way to leave the default texture of the farms?
Vermilicious  [author] 6 Feb, 2019 @ 9:40am
Apparently, my mod didn't work anymore. I've used the in-game UI to update this mod, and it seems to be working.
Vermilicious  [author] 19 Jan, 2019 @ 3:52pm
I feel with you guys who have problems with the new DLCs for the game. I'd update this for the new content if I had them. Fortunately it's really a simple thing to do with some imaging software.

To disable the modification, I assume you will have to unsubscribe. If you are trying to make your own terrain, copy the files before unsubscribing, and tinker away.
HOGGG RIDAAAAAAAAAAAA 27 May, 2017 @ 7:24pm
Why isnt it working on rise of rajas??? Theres no files when i download it
Red Phantom Invader 17 Jan, 2017 @ 9:55pm
can you disable it at all and then re-enable it later? like if your just editing? :bloodstain2:
Vermilicious  [author] 3 Jan, 2017 @ 12:48pm
@btoakino: I'm afraid I don't own that DLC, so if there are any other textures within that DLC, I can't really help you. There are some other variants of grids in the Workshop though, have you tried those? Alternatively, you can do it yourself if you are familiar with basic image editing software. Just take a look at the texture files how it was done. Hope you find a solution :o)
BtoAkino 3 Jan, 2017 @ 12:27pm
Helps please NO work on Rise of the Rajas
CIit Beastwood 8 Nov, 2015 @ 4:43pm
Grid Plus works with African Kingdoms
Vermilicious  [author] 6 Jul, 2014 @ 4:28am
@Neutrino Bomb: I'm afraid I don't know how to change the cliffs as they are implemented differently. I know there are some cliff mods in the workshop though, maybe their creators can help out.
Neutrino Bomb 6 Jul, 2014 @ 12:11am
Hello, would you mind modifying the images for anything involving a cliff?

As you probably know, it's important to know the exact locations of cliffs due to un-passable and un-buildable properties.

however currently It's pretty difficult to tell where exactly there area of influence of cliff tiles are, even with grid enabled.

Can you modify this?
Vermilicious  [author] 10 Aug, 2013 @ 5:46am
There you go 8)
Ozhara 10 Aug, 2013 @ 3:20am
For combining - as I also published all my water textures as seperate mods, you can also subscribe to one of my several water mods after the grid mod, resulting in the grid only beeing visible at land.
Ozhara 10 Aug, 2013 @ 3:18am
At the moment the only other available grid mods are made by me. They don't change the blending, so there is only the grid, no blocky terrain. (For the blending I made a seperate mod, so you can also have blocky terrain without a grid, or combine them.)

For now I made only grid versions of my classic terrain textures V2:
https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=145971860
(there is a second one with the older static water textures)

But in case you would want to use one of my other texture packs with a grid (colored grid or black or whatever type of grid you might ant to use) - just tell me. Would be around half an hour for a simple grid to publish it. Some more time for a more fancy grid.
Vermilicious  [author] 9 Aug, 2013 @ 3:00am
@BanalityGaming: Alright. I know at least one other terrain mod in the workshop had a similar grid version without perfect squares. Maybe you should look around. Unfortunately, I don't remember which one it was.
Banality 8 Aug, 2013 @ 3:30pm
Thankyou man, like I said it was a good mob, I'm abit of a perfectionist so I take time in placing my bildings ect but when the shore was square it bgged me more then placing buildings hehe ;P
Vermilicious  [author] 8 Aug, 2013 @ 3:18pm
@BanalityGaming: After unsubscribing, try to verify game cache. Doing so should restore the game with whatever active subscriptions you have. Thanks for trying it.
Banality 8 Aug, 2013 @ 3:10pm
Hey man I liked the mod, I found it very useful but after a while it became irritating, I unsubscribed but the grid layout still appears on my games, is there anything I can do to get rid of it?
Vermilicious  [author] 12 Jul, 2013 @ 12:31pm
@iPanther: Yeah, that might be the cause. Glad it works and that you like it.

It would be nice if it could be combined with all the nice mods out there, but it has to be manually done for all of them. It would make more sense for those that make the graphic change adapt it, than for me to modify their work, and some have actually done so.

While this version of the game is more mod-friendly, it's not up to par with what you'd expect from today's games. They would have to completely rework the game for that to happen :(
FirePanther 12 Jul, 2013 @ 12:24pm
it works for me now, yesterday it didnt, maybe its conflicting with the red farms graphics, cause i played with grid and no red farms now. very good mod, thank you for that! it helps very much.
Vermilicious  [author] 12 Jul, 2013 @ 2:07am
@iPanther: You're the first to have problems with this as far as I know. Are you sure you do not have any conflicting mods installed? Anything that modifies something in the folders for terrain textures and blends will not work together with this mod. Unsubscribing from conflicting mods and running a verification of the game cache should fix it. In case you wish to have a grid on a different set of terrain, you'll have to do it yourself :)
FirePanther 11 Jul, 2013 @ 9:02pm
when i subscribe you it doesnt work for me, could you create a mirror with the path, where we have to copy these files? i would like this plugin.
Vermilicious  [author] 30 Jun, 2013 @ 12:47pm
@liivet: I don't know how to do that as the original game works differently and requires a bit more effort than I'm willing to put into it at this time. You're welcome to try yourself, however. All modifications can be found under "Terrain -> Blends" and "Terrain -> Textures".
crashbombang 30 Jun, 2013 @ 12:40pm
Age of EMpires 2 the conqueriors i mean the old one, can u possible upload the terrain in slp format? :)
Vermilicious  [author] 30 Jun, 2013 @ 11:30am
@liivet: AOC?
crashbombang 30 Jun, 2013 @ 5:24am
possible to get it in the old AOC? :)
schweed 5 May, 2013 @ 6:13am
Cheers! It definitely did help! But i can judge the stuff fine now (hopefully) and no longer need it
Vermilicious  [author] 5 May, 2013 @ 1:40am
@Lion. Sheep: To remove workshop mods, you will have to unsubscribe and then verify the game cache. You can do this by right clicking on the game in your library and selecting "properties". There's a button in that dialogue somewhere. Thanks for trying my mod.
schweed 5 May, 2013 @ 1:36am
Um, how do i get ride of this after i unsubscribe?
smoke 4 May, 2013 @ 12:08am
fabulous, thank you
Android's Dream 29 Apr, 2013 @ 11:48pm
Oh my god, this is what I've been looking for ever since AOE has been released. I...can actually make smmetrical maps now...thank you!
Hubicka 27 Apr, 2013 @ 10:18am
I kind of wish the developers would see this mod and implement this as an official feature or provide better support for it.
Vermilicious  [author] 26 Apr, 2013 @ 1:49pm
@IM ACTUALLY A CRATE: Models such as trees should not be in conflict with terrain mods like this one. If a problem do occur, unsubscribe and verify game cache.
andy 26 Apr, 2013 @ 12:49pm
Does this work with the tiny trees mod? If not, could you make it work with it?
Vermilicious  [author] 26 Apr, 2013 @ 9:55am
@Sterling Archer: I assume unit ranges are based on the same measurements, but I'm not sure. This mod offers a visible grid in place of the invisible one the game actually uses at least for buildings, trees, stone piles and gold piles.
buteo buteo 26 Apr, 2013 @ 9:31am
is one grid = to 1 unit range?
Vermilicious  [author] 25 Apr, 2013 @ 1:00am
Mod support broke with the latest patch for the game. Hopefully it'll get fixed soon.
juanísimo 24 Apr, 2013 @ 1:41pm
muy bueno, gracias por el aporte!
Vermilicious  [author] 24 Apr, 2013 @ 11:14am
I'm glad people like it and find it helpful. Game on :)
Thegreen16 24 Apr, 2013 @ 9:56am
As a person with OCD, I love you for making this!
Kid 24 Apr, 2013 @ 5:27am
Nice! I don't use it, but I'm certain other people love it!
MrGui 23 Apr, 2013 @ 5:22am
Nice one.
Vermilicious  [author] 23 Apr, 2013 @ 2:06am
@Sav Yeah, they are separate mods made by others. I looked through my subscriptions, but they weren't there anymore so I can't help you by naming them, but I found them here in the workshop.
Sav 22 Apr, 2013 @ 3:15pm
The gold piles and trees looks different or it just me.. Is this your own or is there some mod I have yet to see.. Please share, they look quite good!
PrivatePeachyButt 21 Apr, 2013 @ 11:29am
@Vermillicious.

Bit hard to explain but for example something like the top of this image.
Just the colored line with some shadow.

@Sir Spanksalot: A stylish pattern? What did you have in mind?
PrivatePeachyButt 21 Apr, 2013 @ 11:04am
Great idea.

Are you by any chance working on a more complicated version too?
I for one would love a stylish pattern connecting the squares.
