I like the idea, is there a way to use this just as narrative? not a tutorial/mission, with branching paths, something like romancing/interacting with other factions through a person2person conversation.

Well that's an oof. Then again Rimworld was never a linear game, so I guess it isn't suprising that almost no one used this.

This literally does nothing on it's own, this is a framework for other modders and mods that use this.
So whatever made your pawns do actual work, it was not this mod, it was another mod which probably needed this as a base.

Hmm well I did use it I didnt know what it was for fully back in the day but I did know that it would make my pawn actually do work instead of standing around

This mod alone didn't do anything, it is a modding tool which seemingly wasnt used at all.
Keeping it up to date is extremely difficult and not worth it for now, so I rather focus on my main project, "TiberiumRim".

I did a quick read of creating missions, but there is one thing I'm unclear on:
Is is possible to have missions require or incorporate specific pawns?
My idea is to create stories that involve the pawns like finding a lost relative, getting revenge, or obtaining a legendary artifact. Maybe create a mock system of monarchy, capitalist tycoon ambitions, or even revolutions. Something to add more personal attachment and epic journeys to those in your colony.

Update for Zetriths multiplayer would be much appreciated. I get desync on every event with this mod unfortunately. Other than that great mod!

I expected the travel raid mission but it is not good to use.
As soon as you attack enemy faction, your mission is cleared.

I have planned a mission to destroy enemy faction bases and get some reward, but from the user's point of view, it is only necessary to go back to the base.

The mod 'Thaumrim' says it will need it eventually, though that mod is Very Unfinished right at the moment, if you're collecting.

If you invest the time to write the custom Objective class for that, yes. But by default such behaviour is too specific to be one of the current objective types.

on another note would this make a quest like this possible...
-Go to world map location (insert mission reason here)
-your job is to capture a specific pawn from the enemy forces (down him and imprison)
-now go to friendly faction town (that gave you the quest) and drop him off with them.

basically a capture the enemy commander quest (killing or recruiting him fails it) so he can be interrogated by the quest giver.

Exactly, steam has no option to look for mods that require a mod.
And I do have a discussion "Post your mods here!" for that, but I guess I could make it clear.

so not none Rimhammer is one lol.
I guess in the end it's not really you're responsibility to scour the workshop looking for mods that require yours but sometimes you see a mod like this and think 'that sounds interesting wander what mods use it, i bet they're good' and steam has no way of searching per required mod.
Be nice if modders contacted you so you could add them to the list though, maybe put that in the description? :)

I will list any mods that use this that I am aware of, so far.. seems to be none. Though Rimhammer has it in the required mods list.

Own or MapCheck objectives may be a problem with many targets, other than that I appreciate any report on performance issues and will try to fix/improve it asap.

I honestly dont know how well it runs since there is currently not a single mod that uses this system and thus have no feedback, but so far testing on my own has shown no issues.

Hey, I posted in the suggestions section a few days ago, but haven't seen anything. Do you know how optimized the code is for this mod? Because I was thinking of working on a total conversion mod using this mod's functionality, but I don't know how well that would run.

hey @maxim i have some ideas for missions but no clue on how to acualy mod rimworld. i have googled but not really got any wiser. can you point me in the right directions? you said only xml is needed but i am not even sure what that means.

Should be as close to Core as possible, no particular mod required for this to work.

That is not true. This is a completely independant custom system that doesn't affect vanilla quests at all.
Please provide detailed information with a direct example.

Sorry I meant the implementation into Rimhammer and then many other story based Rimworld options!
