It is fixed. Thank you for reporting this. It was caused by a change I made for the other newer explosives and it broke these old ones.

Currently the bombs do not explode for me. Script fail message says

System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object
at Pax.Cannons.MyPAX_MortarBomb.CreateExplosiveDummy()
at Pax.Cannons.MyPAX_MortarBomb.Explode(Int64 deltaMillis)

Didn't actively change anything since last it worked, so dunno what happened. I know my harddrive has issues, so it may be something happened to cause it on my end if you can't find the issue.

Haven't had this issue, I guess you can try adding blocks to the back

I thought so, but even wheeled carriages have this problem with the mortar. Not the Cannons themselfs.

Use the bronze cannons, they work much better. If you want to use the bombards, I really recommend building a wheeled carriage for them, it makes them much less glitchy than when the full cannon collider is touching the ground. It's Keen physics bugs that were never fixed and never will be.

Another question, it seems when we fire a cannon on a ship it has the possibilty to crash, anyway to fix that aswell?

When the Cannon is Dynamic, and able to move around, when you load it the bombs/projectiles seem to glitch out the back, or glitch into it then launch forwards. Anyway to fix this?

got too many mods already. But you can if you want. Just remove the impact bomb definitions.

Could you make a version of this without the impact bombs (only fuse bombs)? Feel like it would be better balanced for MP servers, as it adds a greater element of challenge and skill to their use.

Fixes: You can pickup bombs again And they longer persist after they exploded and you unload/reload the block

could you make an even lighter trigger impact bomb ? im trying to make naval mines but the light trigger bomb doesn't seem to be sensitive enough.

Update: Small damage increase, bombs can now be attached to grids, added new bomb types: Auto activated bombs for fused and impact and the light trigger impact bomb, will explode very quickly

no, i have it off, i can still destroy blocks but not with this mod, i mean it dose do damage but its not what you expect, it barely damages the block.

Like no damage at all? There is a world setting that disables block damage, maybe its turned on?

funny thing, i have been using them in that way, like TNT to blow a hole in the wall, but yet for me it dose no damge even at that close range

The damage is weird, it will actualy destroy a stone cube when you place it next to it. But the shattering of the block happens when the game wants it :D
Same for small blocks. I can blow up a cart into 100 pieces but another time hardly any damage.
I can't increase the damage even more, because it already does a lot of damage. Try placing the bomb in a closed space, then you will see a bigger effect

bombardment cannon mod? The bombs only fit in the mortar cannon. So they will only activate when shot from that

don't do damage? If they explode near stone cubes you might not always see the damage, but the block health (if you look with hammer) will be lower. And they do work when shot from the mortar cannon, no need to activate them first.

nice mod, i like your cannon mod too. but i cant help but notice, they dont do damage when they explode for me? is this a bug or do i have to load them with powder charges?

The long pickup is for survival balance. If you are in creative you don't use the pickup anyway.
I could make it so they don't overheat in creative mode

Did you place your mortar "in the ground" ? I got the same when the mortar was placed too deep in the ground

I shot it from motar, just dosnt expload on impact, same with the fuse bomb, it dosnt light when it shoots.I did activate the impact one, it just exploads in the motar
