Hi Matt. WOW! What can I say? That was an absolutely amazing drive for me, on the WCML Nth. I have never seen so much traffic on the route before. Looks like the signalling controllers in their Power Boxes, had their hands full, ha ha . The Scenario was well put together, there was never a dull moment for my trip anyway. In fact I got to a point where I was guessing what kind train was coming next. HA HA. Thanks for sharing this Excellent Scenario. Even though the route is not as busy in reality, your imagination I have no issue with, my friend. Thanks again. Best Wishes. :steamhappy:

Ein gutes langes Szenario, mit viel AI Verkehr, schade dass der neue AP Pack hier nicht wirkt.
Danke.

Very nice scenario, - thanks !
best regards

I enjoyed this great scenario, thanks Matt.

Despite not speeding, I arrived into Carlisle to see Service 55, a Class 156 depart towards the Settle-Carlisle line. Nice extra touch for the speeders. :p

A more serious question, how do you even out the power and coasting? I'm a little "too good" at occupying myself keeping myself within 1mph of the speed limit. Doing that allowed me to gain on the blocker train you placed at Lockerbie to Carlisle.

Other than that, excellent scenario, so much traffic, and extremely busy with lots of variety! I love scenarios where the AI traffic is "unrealistically" busy. So busy it was like the blitz at Glasgow! Now to get myself a well-earned cup of tea...

Excellent scenario... Tanks a lot!!

What rule says AI "must" run to a real timetable? I know what the actual traffic density of this route is and if it was followed it would be a very boring trip indeed ... please dont subscribe to any more of my scenarios.
oleeskildandersen 25 Jun, 2013 @ 9:58pm
No sir - the A1 trains must have a real timetable - normal there will not be a pax train every 3 minuts or less
MaTT  [author] 25 Jun, 2013 @ 1:17pm
eh? you do have a timetable.
oleeskildandersen 25 Jun, 2013 @ 3:53am
A nice scenario indeed the signals on route, but I think it is not normal with all theA1 trains. I prefer a timetable to drive after
david.angus1977 30 May, 2013 @ 4:13pm
That is a superb scenario, Matt! I liked the mixture of heavy traffic leaving Glasgow Central, all the nice mix of traffic (freight and passenger) en route, and then the heavy traffic again at Carlisle --- all very realistic, I can imagine. Thank you for all your hard work in setting this one up! I did come up against two or three reds, so I'll allow myself HALF a pat on the back and I've ordered half an iced bun!!! (Delighted, by the way, that you have restricted the DLC, so I could drive the thing!)

Sometimes the best laid plans of signalmen and drivers are laid to waste by a late running preceeding service, I'm possibly entirely composed of pure evil but thats because im on a crusade to make scenarios with events that are out of the control of the players service, just like in the real world, so yeh the approach signal to Carlisle doesnt really count but remember while you are still travelling at 1mph you're still not checked ... Bwahaha!
GhostEngineer 14 May, 2013 @ 1:15pm
It's hard not to get "checked" by the final signal before Carlisle P4 if one's shooting for an arrival time of 11:03:57-ish (i.e. on time for a booked arrival time of 11:04), but the soonest said signal will allow you to arrive is 11:04:50-ish. If I'm not told I'm arriving into an occupied (I presume) platform and thus will incurr about a minute delay, I can't accommodate for the situation. I'm still having my prawn and avocado sandwich (don't have sweet tooth) :P
Nice scenario on the whole though.
steph.guitton2 8 May, 2013 @ 1:54pm

Matt 5 May, 2013 @ 3:55am
do railworks have any runs thats from one end of the country to the other ie: example " say plymouth all the way through to scotland " without having to swap drivers
Matt 5 May, 2013 @ 3:49am
thanks matt i will have another go thankyou
snapper50 5 May, 2013 @ 1:08am
Excellent scenario plenty of on comeing rail traffic will run again EXCELLENT. Thank you.
jeffskiba 4 May, 2013 @ 8:31pm
Superb. Full of AI, and one has to keep their eye out for the traffic flow. Great fun!
MaTT  [author] 3 May, 2013 @ 11:31pm
Mathew ... In main menu you'll see the workshop tab click on this and play ... you will find the scenario listed, you will need WCMLn and the class 156 DLC for it to work though.
Matt 3 May, 2013 @ 8:05pm

hallam.steve 3 May, 2013 @ 4:33pm

pierresemeteys 3 May, 2013 @ 8:15am

Top notch. Thank you :)
Fairrosamund 29 Apr, 2013 @ 8:37am
I thought that this was an excellant well produced scenario, with sufficient A1 traffic to make it very realistic and sufficient adverse signalling along the way to keep the driver on "his toes"and to retain interest in this long run down the WCML .Well done and I look foreward to your next production.
