I only saw the torpedo boats as recruitable for satsuma in fots type 1 2 3 4, bummed out was really looking forward too seeing these battleships and cruisers.

I hope life's been getting better. After the nonsense when Warhammer III DLC I've been playing shogun 2 again-would you reccomend anyone to force the AI not to stand off at max distance and actually be in an assault/attack for naval combat?

@Commissar DOOM yea maybe i change it and do something else however I am not modding right now maybe ill do it at some point but I have no plans as of now to go back to modding. I still play total war from time to time so who knows I might fix the Kotetsu when I have time :)

the missile on Kotetsu are.... well absolutely bad. Idk might wanna remove it and buff the guns instead

This is purely Naval mod or u`ve changed land units as well? I see land units mixed in and cavalry and other nonsense. Can you make an update o the mod thats clean and purely naval, without touching anything else please?

Update to the below - removed all other mods and installed everything fresh and still no HE vickers on any ships or on the gatling

@Achilles no but the destroyers have forward deployment and can tirgger the AI to engage and then you speed out of there and lay mines

@Erabior yes i am aware of the crash i don't know what causes it and i have no idea how to fix it, about the price of the kotetsu its high because it can be equiped with a missile once you research After researching the Advanced armor-piercing shell and select armor-piercing shell on the ship itself it will have great range and do very good damage.

Im really liking this mod! I only have one critique. is it just me or is the kotestsu far too expensive per turn for what its worth? I could have 10 Chiyodagata Type-4 destroyers for the same upkeep and thoes far valuable imo. For instance the Roanoke has 8000 hull armor and 12 guns and only costs 684 per turn, the Kotestsu only has 2 main caliber guns 1 secondary and 6 tertiary guns with very limited range, 3000 hull armor and costs 2333 per turn?

Makes the navy a lot more fun to play!
If I had to be nitpicky I'd say that it is a little silly to have cruisers be the small ships and frigates be twice as large but it's not a big deal and maybe the nomenclature was different pre-modern times.

I know nowadays we're calling battlecruiser-sized ships destroyers lmfao.

Sorry if this has already been answered somewhere, but is there a limit to how many battleships you can recruit (like the special ships from GB, US, and France)?

oh well honestly that was the only crash, after relaunching, i did the same battle and it was fine, there were many other naval battles after that too. it must of been a random thing. if its plated research, there was one against a copper plate and i didnt crash, and the game is over turn 100, so that theory would be wrong due to me not crashing anymore. if must of been a random issue between the two mods.

Did they had researched the technology required to make plated ships? You could add me and send me screenshots or the savegame so i can check it. It could be a conflict with another mod but i doubt it.

the mod totally screws autoresolve sadly. no matter how uneven the fight is in favor for you end up with heavily damaged ships so either you play every single naval battle or you have to repair all the time. the mod is cool but thats kills it

In either case, I'm going to attempt to try this mod out with the Masters of Strategy total conversion mod (it seems old to me though), and I'll post what I find. I'll also just try using Jozai, as their "Resourcefulness" perk makes them the only faction I ever use anyways

I tested the mod and I have found issue that emerged out of nowhere. Missiles are currently being fixed. They are not working at the moment I am very sorry. Trying to figure out whats wrong.

It is called tactical_navy.pack I am sorry since I don't spend much time on steam these days and I haven't done any updates since quite a while and no one else had the problem of identifying the pack file. Have fun mate :)
