That would be no problem. Will do so after work.

Is it possible to use The Gimp to make a line that's 2 pixels but has some transparency?

If you want, you can use a colored grid I made:
http://www.4shared.com/folder/aAOcfE5v/Grid_Edition_2Px_Color.html

It is 2 pixels in width as well, but the color of the grid changes according to the specific texture.
So grass is green, deep water is deep blue. shallow water is light blue and so on.

Thatfore it is more subtle.

Just copy the textures te Terrain\Textures folder in your game directory.

I tried a grid with lines 1 pixel in width at first as in Vermilicious's Basic grid terrain.

But a texture has 512x512 pixels and 10 squares at each side. So there is a distortion when shown on the screen.
Therefore some pixels vanish in specific combinations/areas.
With a thiner grid it can happen that it isn't shown anymore at some points.

So I decided for 2 pixel.

I can see this being helpful. Although maybe if it was a little more subtle it would be easier on the eyes and still helpful.

Glad to see I inspired someone :)
