Description
For the updated content changes, take a look at the change notes. :)

These are the textures also contained in my Classic Texture Pack V2. But they have a grid attached to them.

The pack is inspired by Vermilicious's Basic grid terrain.

But different from his mod, this pack doesn't change anything according to the blending of the terrain textures (there are 10 seperate blending textures that define the type of blending for different terrain combinations)

So if you only use this mod, the game will look as normal, but with a grid.

If you want the terrain to not blend into each other, but 'snap' to the grid, there is one more mod you need, my Non Blending Blend Pack.

If you want to have the grid, but think that the water shouldn't have a grid, than you have to subscribe to my Static Water Pack to and give it a higher priority than this mod.

All variants are shown in the preview screens.

Where the textures are from:

Farms: out of Mike's Real Farms - HD / based on Shayne's ST farm texture
Grass1: based on Shayne's ST Terrain Textures
Grass2/Grass3/Desert: based on KalaAveR's Texture Pack V2
Roads: based on storm_andy's Classic Textures - Remastered
Beach: based on Einherjer's TEXTURE SELECTION AND IMPROVEMENTS

Thanks for sharing all these great textures.

Snow/Ice/Water/Dirt/Leaves: completely new (grass elements from above)

That would be no problem. Will do so after work.

Is it possible to use The Gimp to make a line that's 2 pixels but has some transparency?

If you want, you can use a colored grid I made:
http://www.4shared.com/folder/aAOcfE5v/Grid_Edition_2Px_Color.html

It is 2 pixels in width as well, but the color of the grid changes according to the specific texture.
So grass is green, deep water is deep blue. shallow water is light blue and so on.

Thatfore it is more subtle.

Just copy the textures te Terrain\Textures folder in your game directory.

I tried a grid with lines 1 pixel in width at first as in Vermilicious's Basic grid terrain.

But a texture has 512x512 pixels and 10 squares at each side. So there is a distortion when shown on the screen.
Therefore some pixels vanish in specific combinations/areas.
With a thiner grid it can happen that it isn't shown anymore at some points.

So I decided for 2 pixel.

I can see this being helpful. Although maybe if it was a little more subtle it would be easier on the eyes and still helpful.

Glad to see I inspired someone :)
