Instead of BFF simply making it hit harder, how about having it burst into a holy flame when it connects, along with the puddle (kinda like Fire Mind)? It'd be a nice little nod to Castlevania.

Maybe you can you make it so the synergy with BFF will cause a light beam to show up instead of this little pool?

Very cool. Seems much more useful and fun. Looks a litte weird flying upright when thrown but that'd be like 3 new sprites at least
