Edit: The names display correctly without the mod installed, so it's definitely the mod. I really enjoyed being able to sort by the phoenix trait, I hope this gets fixed, I love watching them get resurrected multiple times, and grouping the IVs and V in their own dome
Mizi 3 Oct, 2022 @ 11:58pm
The original names of project phoenix resurrects (the roman numerals) are replaced with the default martian names when the game is saved and loaded, even with the project phoenix fix turned on. It kinda defeats the fun of project phoenix

@MasterOfGrey That's what's supposed to happen. Apparently it's not actually doing that, in the background or otherwise, for Rosebush.
MasterOfGrey 10 Jun, 2022 @ 5:34pm
@Rosebush yes but the actual designation doesn't change - the switching on and off happens in the background for domes you've designated as being "birth allowed"
Rosebush 10 Jun, 2022 @ 6:47am
@Wreath Yes, I know this mechanics, but that is implemented in original game. What I thought that you dont have to do this micromanagement with this mod. Mod should work like this: Domes on "birth allowed", children sent to Incubator dome, when nurseries in Incubator are full, all domes switch to "birth not allowed" When nursery get space, birth turned back on. Thats it, thats what description of this mod says it should do, right? It just dont work.
SkiRich  [author] 6 Jun, 2022 @ 7:36pm
Updated, fixed an issue with cloning vats, and one syntax error in mod config.
Wreath 30 May, 2022 @ 6:25am
@Rosebush there are three options, 'births allowed' 'not allowed' and 'stop births when dome is full' or something like that. So set your domes to the yellow/amber icon and they'll stop breeding in every dome that is at capacity, then start again when space becomes available.
Rosebush 11 May, 2022 @ 3:42am
Hi. I have 6 domes and 500 colonists. I set 1 dome to Incubator, rest is set to birth allowed, Dome:Normal Relocate:ON. In incubator I have two large nurseries meaning space for 52 children. No other living space, just schools and playgrounds. Children are sent to incubator dome, but birth dont stop at 52. Currently 71 and rising. I thought this mod should stop newborns when nurseries in incubator are full. Am I doing something wrong, or mod just dont work?
Crian Box 25 Oct, 2021 @ 12:22pm
Having an issue where I've set a dome as an incubator, but other domes don't indicate they are relocating babies to that dome. This is on a saved game if that helps. Thanks for the mod!
The Engineer Pop 19 Oct, 2021 @ 5:40pm
Yes, they do.
MasterOfGrey 19 Oct, 2021 @ 5:27pm
Your colonists do still have to have sufficient comfort etc to actually have children.
The Engineer Pop 19 Oct, 2021 @ 5:23pm
When individual dome is full, then despite there is an Incubator Dome and it has sufficient (Large) Nursery space colonists don't attempt to have children. Is it a bug?
BLÀde 3 Oct, 2021 @ 4:56am
@Tankymcplaneface the oval dome? unlock it with Multispiral Architecture
Fishman 3 Oct, 2021 @ 4:27am
How did you get that dome with 2 spire slots?
SkiRich  [author] 27 Sep, 2021 @ 7:21pm
In addition to the below update i just added a fix to issue where you needed at least one apartment building in the dome for this to work. Now all you need are nurseries. Its for the people that dont have my children only fix mod. So everybody should be good now.
SkiRich  [author] 27 Sep, 2021 @ 4:07pm
Updated to fix some underground issues and to prevent children born on asteroids from moving to an incubator dome. Sorry you have to drive them home.
Blade give this a shot with that dome mod you reported. Should work now.
BLÀde 27 Sep, 2021 @ 1:07am
just a heads up incubator will not work on underground domes built with this mod

Because I restructured my dome layout and for this moved all colonists there. Within this process I noticed an explosion of childcount. Independent to the question if it makes sense to use the geoscape dome this way it would be nice to be possible to do so.
MasterOfGrey 23 Sep, 2021 @ 1:15am
The real question is why are you using the geoscape dome as the nursery dome??
Deadly_Shadow 22 Sep, 2021 @ 6:50pm
There seems to be a problem with the geoscape dome. If set to incubator as the only one, nursery space is ignored as well as the forbid births setting. If there are additional incubator domes set, the geoscape dome always acts as if the nursery is full. Using only other dome types the settings work as expected.
MasterOfGrey 19 Sep, 2021 @ 4:18pm
This still restricts growth to the number of nursery slots when the incubator dome is turned on, and moves them more efficiently.
dabeek 15 Sep, 2021 @ 10:57am
Forgive me, but this seems at least somewhat redundant; can't you just add Age: Child as a preference to a dome instead of the incubator system?
dizzydiana 14 Sep, 2021 @ 3:13am
@striker101 the game still has bugs with relocting etc aalso subscribe to - https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2431231186 and https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2428123536 and it will work fine even if you dont use incubator domes
striker101 13 Sep, 2021 @ 8:17pm
so i have three domes set up right now 2 of them are have children and seniors filtered out while the third has seniors and children filtered in with youths through middle aged filtered out.
my goal is to have children and seniors moved into this dome while everyone else stays where there are however neither seniors nor children are moving and i have to manually relocate them this particular dome has two nurseries a playground school spire and a retirement home this mod is the only one i use that affects colonists migration in any way any help provided is greatly appreciated

Working! 13/09/2021. Thanks!!!
Dr. Dinosaur 7 Sep, 2021 @ 9:09pm
Will mod be updated for new DLC?
SkiRich  [author] 6 Apr, 2021 @ 11:08pm
All my mods work with Tourism Update
Dessloch 28 Mar, 2021 @ 11:17pm
Is it still working with the Tourism update?
SkiRich  [author] 12 Aug, 2020 @ 6:12pm
I just started a new game taking all the defaults except for a Doctor commander and did not experience any issues. You must have another mod that modifies something that is stepping on Incubator. Incubator itself does not care about your commander profile. Take a look at the Developer notes above. I give you the same advice, upload your log file someplace and send me a link to it and I'll take a look and see if anything sticks out.
Fishpire 12 Aug, 2020 @ 6:00pm
Hello, I'm experiencing a similar issue to Doryann34. I choose "Doctor" leader for the first time an now I cannot seem to change any Dome to incubator nor can I toggle relocate.
SkiRich  [author] 2 Jul, 2020 @ 11:16pm
The source domes, all of them need to have relocate to incubator turned on, otherwise they just act like regular birth controls. Then you need to nominate the turned off dome as an incubator. Once you turn it off after that the nurseries inside will be disqualified and the incubator birth control limits should work.
You dont have any other birth related or birth influencer mods either I hope.
God_of_madness4 2 Jul, 2020 @ 10:57pm
im having an issue where colonists keep having children over the limit, i have 2 incubator domes, 1 of which is turned off unless i have overflow, which keeps happening and i have to hard ban all births until it gets down at which point it just overflows again. does the sheer existance of the overflow dome cause it to try and get used?
SkiRich  [author] 31 May, 2020 @ 8:39am
Parallax, incubator domes do not need to be connected although you can do that. So its not the connected part thats causing your issue. Sounds like you have a filter set someplace. Without a doubt the mod will find the incubator dome and as part of the spawn process it will spawn a child in the nominated dome, but what happens after that is all your setup.
SkiRich  [author] 31 May, 2020 @ 8:36am
Not sure. Send me the log file and I'll check. Put it up on the net someplace and send me the link.
Doryann34 31 May, 2020 @ 6:48am
Hi SkiRich, I've played several runs with you mod without problem. But in my current one, it seems I can't set any Dome to "incubator" state (nor can I toggle "relocate"). The only compatibility issue I can think of, is that for the first time I choose the "Doctor" leader at the beginning of the game. Do you think it may be the cause? Thx. Doryann
ParallaxMurderer 30 May, 2020 @ 10:01am
I am finding that children are not being relocated to the incubator dome if it is two tunnels away. I have one mega dome in the middle with all amenities, and population/work domes and one incubator dome connected around the edges, with tunnels to the central mega dome.

In other games I've connected the incubator directly to a dome with pops, and ALL domes' children get moved. Is it possible the incubator is not getting used because it is only connected to a dome with no housing?
Masa 30 May, 2020 @ 8:33am
I have the mod installed, set one dome as incubator and others are at default, yet they keep reproducing more than the nurseries can handle
SkiRich  [author] 25 May, 2020 @ 9:14pm
Upload your log someplace and post your link to it in the help forum just above. I'll take a peek. There isnt anything special to making a dome an incubator. You just need to click the incubator button.
🛡️Silver🔷Blue🔥Phoenix 25 May, 2020 @ 6:57pm
I can't make the dome an incubator; the setting is just N/A without being responsive.
RockWoo 14 May, 2020 @ 9:58am
Glad I can be of help!
SkiRich  [author] 14 May, 2020 @ 9:51am
RockWoo, glad things worked out. But you have a good point that I didnt plan for, so I'll be updating the mod. Once updated, if the nominated Incubator dome is shut down then no children will be spawned or spawn them in original domes. I'll make it a settable option.
RockWoo 14 May, 2020 @ 8:28am
Disregard my last comment. I don't what changed but I guess loading a save game fixed the problem.
RockWoo 14 May, 2020 @ 2:15am
First of all, genius mod, thanks!

So, to the issue.. In my colony, the nurseries in the incubator dome are turned off, however the other domes keep having births and they keep sending their children to the incubator dome. Now I just noticed that they don't send the children anymore but rather the children are just "stacking up" so to say, like my real life responsibilities on top of each other in those domes. Do I not get the basic premise of this mod? Shouldn't births be limited by the available space in the nurseries of the incubator dome? Thank you for your help!
redfuzzy 11 Apr, 2020 @ 10:48pm
Ah, I've never found the temporary homelessness to be a problem. By the time I'm doing dedicated child domes I've got shuttles, and they leave pretty quick.
SkiRich  [author] 11 Apr, 2020 @ 10:30pm
Thats fine as well. In general you want at least as much housing as you have nursery space. The moment they turn 6, if they dont have a home, they are then homeless and things go bad from there.
redfuzzy 11 Apr, 2020 @ 10:15pm
What's this thing about needing regular housing for when the children grow up to make the incubator domes work? Is that something specific to this mod? Cause for normal child domes I just attach another dome for food services, and have the child dome filter out youths and above, and they just leave.
sk9 14 Feb, 2020 @ 10:59am
I've had this mod for a while now and I have to say that this is BY FAR THE MOST USEFUL mod for Surviving Mars. Gone are the days of having way too many people to deal with and struggling with having to forbid / allow births. It's been working perfectly. I can't imagine playing the game without it. I usually have one incubator dome with 3 schools and 5 nurseries and I get good and stable population growth without having to deal with an army of children. 10/10 Thank you so much for this mod.
SkiRich  [author] 11 Dec, 2019 @ 2:47pm
I'll let him know. that mod is beta.
Skill Less 11 Dec, 2019 @ 2:46pm
yep, it's in conflict with silva's waste water mod
SkiRich  [author] 11 Dec, 2019 @ 2:43pm
Its working fine in the version I have uploaded here. You may indeed have a mod conflict.
Any mod that alters the Infopanel is a suspect.
