Sorry about that :steamsad: there's a lot of script-related things that become available with BNW, lots of recent mods will require it! Hope you can pick it up if it goes on sale or something

mod content still doesn't show up when trying to select a civilisation (yes I went through the mod menu and yes I've tried with other extra civilisation mods, im only having a problem with this mod.)
pork bean  [author] 13 Dec, 2018 @ 7:15pm
@tim.fukushima They aren't protected from being attacked! They can still be seen by adjacent units, or units with promotions that allow them to see through stealth.
tim.fukushima 11 Dec, 2018 @ 6:12am
Like this mod but even with the update my ranged units are still being attacked in terrain that should be concealing them...???
pork bean  [author] 2 Dec, 2018 @ 6:34am
@everyone - the reported bug with city captures has been found and fixed. Applying submarine stealth promotions to melee units had the unintended effect of rendering them permanently unable to capture cities! This means Iga was only able to capture cities with units that had never entered rough terrain.

As submarine stealth is effectively hardcoded into the game, I've decided to address this issue but limiting the stealth promotions to ranged units only. Although it looks like a hard nerf on paper, please consider it a net buff since Iga will now be able to reliably capture cities :B1:

This mod is broken, i can't capture any cities, it would be much better to get the rising sun mod.

i just try to modify it, i found a masterpiece. There are things in the mod that you didnt explain in the description. Easily my favorite mod <3
jonathan 15 Aug, 2018 @ 3:25pm
Maybe the same issue: I can't capture more than one city.

I'm using some mods: Covert Operations, Civ IV Diplomatic Features and Strange Religions.
Fionaur 31 Jul, 2018 @ 12:19am
Not sure why, the mod content wouldn't load in the mod civilisation select menu despite being recognised as a mod present by the game... :/ halp pls?
plupiman 27 Jul, 2018 @ 7:43am
@pork bean I was trying to take a city of this mod's civ https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=85510554
The other mods I don't think would interact with it
Kairoid 27 Jul, 2018 @ 6:25am
No, and I didn't have any issues at first either but as the game progressed the problem came up
pork bean  [author] 27 Jul, 2018 @ 12:52am
@plupiman @Revan-Aku I have no trouble making city captures with any of those units. Are you running other mods that may be causing the issue?
just.nuke.em 26 Jul, 2018 @ 7:10pm
Is this where I submit my ninja application? I heard Iga needed ninjas...
Kairoid 26 Jul, 2018 @ 6:43pm
I wasn't able to capture 2 cities with the pikeman, knight, or swordsman either
plupiman 26 Jul, 2018 @ 2:43pm
I can't capture cities with the rifleman
pork bean  [author] 26 Jul, 2018 @ 9:42am
@ShogunLewis I did notice a few oddities like that during testing. I think the game doesn't like the "is invisible" tag (usually applied to submarines) being switched off during a turn. I'm fine with how it is for now if the flag shows up and you're still able to attack the unit, however I may revisit sometime soon and attempt to clean it up (possibly a 'revealed' promotion for exposed units that forces the tag to switch to false, but not sure about it yet)
ShogunLewis 25 Jul, 2018 @ 2:43pm
@pork bean, I love your mod, its so thematic

Does the concealement promotion properly work? I tried fighting against the Iga Republic and their warrior unit didn't show up at all, even in open terrain but the unit icon still appeared

@funk engine, communist collective farming does not work and lead to the deaths of millions of people in china do to lack of food. The state does not adapt and has lines of order, ethics, and morals which the farmers can not adapt to as wind, weather, and disease hit these crops.

farmer is a capalist, he grows food the best he can to get the goods he can not produce. So defining a collective farm at the government level would be a "government run slave farm"

China has corrected this mistake in the 1990s with the land reclaimation programs, they allow the farmers of some areas. To have "simi private land" to grow food to sell in market. This makes for Free land management and self interest the food and land is productive.

Doctor G 24 Jul, 2018 @ 7:58am
that is ok, the name.

governments are ideals, not natrual systems.

what is why loosely stated the "ideal" , before defining it.

@funk engine Commune is define in the "world" via country.

Kibbutz is the only form of this in prace that is working model and not self imposed farm collective

Collective farming is "Slaves raising food for the state", these fail because humans do what is little required for them, because of no self gain.

Kibbutz works because the Jews build greed into their systems, Greed being the 1st and most basic emotion of every human.

kibbutz is defined by history of it and is a good model of the modern collective. It too much to explain in 1000 words

@Doctor G I appreciate the explanation. I am familiar with the strict definition of a republic though, and I still decided to go with it for the title. As I said before, the very few English language sources on this particular subject tend to use "Iga Republic" as a rough translation, while being fully aware it is not a republic in the European sense. My only other option was to leave the name untranslated, but as this is a mod aimed at English speakers I went with republic to at least give users a rough idea of what "Sokoku Ikki" might be. Apologies again if that bothers you, but it is only referred to as "Iga Republic" in one in-game line and should be fairly easy to change yourself if you wish.

@FUNK ENGINE I should have been more clear; I meant consistency in that I referred to Ezo by its English name, as opposed to "Ezo Kyowakoku". If I had left this civ untranslated and in romaji, it would have been inconsistent.
ReadyandRaiding 22 Jul, 2018 @ 3:58pm
@Doctor G, then what would you say is the right way to translate 惣国一揆? Commune?

@Pork Bean, sorry to be a pedant but the term the Ezo Republic used was 共和国, not that there's any problem with two Japanese words translating to the same English word.
Doctor G 22 Jul, 2018 @ 12:06pm
republic is a europe invention going back to the the BCA or roman greek times.

It is they , they the landowners are consider "people" in this system, thus, are allowed to vote and/ or have the privilage of doing service in the army.

There is also a set group of laws that even the ruler, landowners, people, plebs, and slaves... , must follow.

Then there is a body of people that make the laws and run the area of their interest by a Public post or a body of people that make the laws, called the senate.

Public post of the senate are call, Such as master of the grain or in modern times call the Department of agriculture.

basically a republic "is a form of government in which the country is considered a "public matter", not the private concern or property of the rulers. The primary positions of power within a republic are not inherited. It is a form of government under which the head of state is not a monarch but elected with a social status state vote
pork bean  [author] 22 Jul, 2018 @ 8:32am
@Doctor G This isn't the Iga-ryu school precisely, it's the Iga Sokoku Ikki they established (so naturally there is a lot of overlap). Still not exactly a republic in the European sense, but several English language sources refer to it as such and I wanted to maintain consistency with my Ezo civ for which I also used the word 'republic'. Most of the in-game references are simply to "Iga" anyway, so hopefully you can overlook it if it bothers you.
Doctor G 21 Jul, 2018 @ 2:11pm
Kōga-ryū is the other school at this time, saying the igy-ryu was a republic is kind of off. the nobels and lords own the land and they collectively voted. you could call it the world's first constitutional monary without a constitution.
God of Bread 20 Jul, 2018 @ 6:18pm
How the fuck did you make an immunoglobulin civilisation?
The_Unblooded 15 Jul, 2018 @ 5:25pm
Hello @pork bean. I really liked your woek developing civs from failed states. Have you ever tought about making a civilization from the Farroupilha revolution, when the southern Brazil had secceded from Brazilian Empire and formed it own independent country? If you plan doing something like that, I would be honored to help you.
pork bean  [author] 14 Jul, 2018 @ 11:59pm
@Umyahng My bad! Mod support files weren't importing correctly.

Give the new version a go, should be all fine now!
troodon25 14 Jul, 2018 @ 8:29am
This is one of the neatest ones yet. I actually really like the colour scheme, and I have an odd fondness for UIs.
Umyahng 14 Jul, 2018 @ 7:59am
I like your mods vm, but for some reason they dont appear in the list in YnAEMP v23 for me, despite the "up to v24". Any other mod that might conflict and cause this that you know of?
CarlmanZ 14 Jul, 2018 @ 6:16am
NINJAS ALL RIGHT YEAH!

(nice job!)
